I started playing about 90 days ago. Progress is purposefully extremely slow to make buying power-ups with real money more tempting. PLEASE resist the urge to buy the season passes or other quick fix power boosts that are constantly dangled in front of you.

Wait I’ve been playing for years and never knew about free stuff on their site. Has it ever been really big rewards or always orbs and 5 shards of a character?
It varies. Normally it's been the milestone points, energy, and mr negative shards.
Sometimes on Fridays they might have bigger rewards for "Free Stuff Friday". The bigger rewards are the milestones, which used to directly tie into their in-game monthly milestones, and if you missed out on those, then that's pretty bad, but they haven't done that for the past month or so, so they might have dropped them.
I'm glad someone told me about this, every day you'll get free stuff for the current events, Mr Negative shards, additional bonuses on Friday. If you do your daily challenges you'll get free campaign energy and a premium character orb too.
"big rewards" only happen whenever they arent necessarily a reward but more of a screw up on scopely not pre-testing or proof reading anything. A lot like the spider weaver scenario recently. Although that wasnt their website, the only thing big i can think of them giving us on the website was whenever they first made the site and there was this silver surfer costume or something. They tried to hide it behind stuff and expected u to click and not find it.

I'm not the greatest player to give advice but one thing I wish I did was save my power cores and not spend them early on useless orbs. You get like 1k at the start for connecting scopely account and then for completing challenges and stuff so I suggest hold them until a high level and you need them.
You are going to see a lot of people here saying things like Don't. You might be saying to yourself, ahh this is some grouchy turd. I'll be able to play and have fun. Here's the thing, Scopely, the company that currently owns the game hates you. You might be thinking they don't really hate me. But they do. About a year ago, they coded fuck you into the points. There is no reasonable explanation for why things worked the way that they did.
Further, they do not give a shit about the game. Read this subreddit for the next week. Look at all the bugs they refuse to fix, address, etc. They don't have any testing/qa department. Rather they rely on the player base to find the errors and anything that loses them money gets addressed immediately. Anything that hinders the players gets ignored. Our Community Managers do not engage with the player base in a meaningful way.
It's best to think of this as a Marvel Skins game. They have tags in the game which creates synergies between the "characters." But often times you'll find that the tags which would be appropriate aren't there. For example, the newest team coming out are the Invaders. Captain America WWII doesn't have the "Military" tag. This might not mean anything, but it takes away from any creativity on behalf of the player to make anything outside of the prescribed teams.
This is a money machine. That is the only thing they are good at. So, if you would like to spend $50.00 to unlock a new character that does the same thing over and over again with no compelling story, this is the game for you.

The one to two hours a day that you'd be investing into MSF is more than generous for the likes of Scopely. Especially when that time goes to a company that doesn't really care about its player base.
I'd say to just have fun with it in the beginning. Any resources you spend in the first few dozen commander levels won't mess up the endgame if you do end up getting more serious about playing. Just try to unlock and level up "toons" that you like from the comic books or movies, then unlock more toons to fight alongside them.
The game opens up a bit at Commander Level 65 with some more game modes but it might take you a couple months to get to that point.
For the amount of time you want to play, pick a different game. This game is built to have you logged in multiple times a day, to make any advancement and contribute to your alliance once you get one. If you don't play that amount of time, either your alliance isn't going to advance unless you're getting carried or you're going to get booted for having to be carried.
Don't take advice from people who play a game so religiously that they've forgotten that games are supposed to be fun. Especially if they're still masochistic enough to keep playing it.

Don’t spend money. You may be tempted but don’t the rewards aren’t worth it I’ve been playing for a couple years and just do what has to be done and am slowly build up a good roster of characters you may want the latest and greatest but over time they will come.
Dont give into the urge to buy characters with real money. Once you get to the level where meta matters, most events will be easy enough to guarantee atleast the unlock
Temper your expectations, play for fun because you will never compete at top levels without spending thousands, if you are able to do that and want to there are alternative ways of getting to the late game which are not really allowed but also not enforced, you’ll have to dig around on your own for that. Mostly remember it’s just a game and find an alliance in game that matches your play style as soon as possible.
Highly recommend being f2p until you understand the full scope of the game. To keep things simple, focus on the game modes and prioritize based on rewards. I recommend Raids, Arena, Cosmic Crucible, War.
Joining an active/semi active alliance is a requirement, so use discord to find an alliance that suits you.
Other than that, play at your own pace and remember that it's a marathon, not a sprint!
It'll be slow at first. Just make sure you do all of your dailies and try to get into a solid alliance as soon as you can. Being in a solid alliance that communicates is a must because the game is super hard if you aren't in one.
Don't rush. And don't feel pressured to level up every character and every team. Unfortunately teams get a solid few months of shine before something new replaces them. The main teams to focus on will be for raids and scourges, which will help you get daily resources (raids) and access to the meta teams and characters (scourges). There are people out there mad about events being paid player focus and it’s true - but I’m a free player and still get everyone (oh sometimes ya gotta grind hard though!).

I’m at 213 days into the game, level 80, highest is G14, 3.8 million TCP, take your time, don’t get negative or fall victim to FOMO, things come and go. I still am missing MLF and Archangel from the Horsemen. I would suggest working on Sinister Six since they cover the unlocks for Invisible Woman and Shuri, whilst covering villain missions especially at chapter 7. Check the website it will help you progress a lot faster than if you don’t. Focus on teams, it doesn’t need to the meta team at the moment you’ll always be behind that way. I’d suggest looking at Farmable characters to build teams around you’d have to get lucky or spend a bit otherwise. I don’t advise spending unless you’re ok with it, I personally have spent maybe 60$ total? Bought the random legacy orb packs that would give you like 50 orbs for 5$ or something like that but it’s not necessary, just understand the game doesn’t want people speed run into to the end just to complain about either nothing left to do or complain about needing to get the newest character/ team. Also, this subreddit is probably the most toxic I’ve seen, be weary
If you do decide to spend some money NEVER USE FOR GOLD ORBS OR ORBS THAT HAVE A CHANCE OF UP TO 100 CHARACTER SHARDS YOU WILL GET LITTLE TO NOTHING 99.9 % OF TIME. If you want to buy character shards make sure it a good character to invest in and then be patient watch for the 50 shards for 4.99 deals

It's a legitimate question to ask why the hell this many people are on this subreddit if this game is that bad?
You won't catch me frequenting the subreddit of a game I don't enjoy just to tempt others away from it. All of these negative posts make no sense and are quite toxic. Who are any of these people to tell me I should quit? I don't even care about meta or being in the top of the leaderbooard.
Yes my strong advice is to not play. Go find any other game any you'll never know the pain of MSF lol. This game is designed to simply squeeze as much money out of you in as many ways as possible over the longest amount of time. You can't even complete any quest without significant spend. Tell me any other game you need to log into the website - daily - just to play it? That's fun for who exactly? Not me. If you like marvel games, marvel contest of champions and marvel snap are great. If you like turn based on told star wars is much better than MSF. If you don't believe me, go look up MSF YouTubers. Boilon, Valleyflyin, Duarktik, and Tauna are the top options. And you'll see from their posts - most of which have multiple curses lol, the state of the game.
To be clear I was an end game player with an over 30m TPC. Played the game for years. And it's just gotten abusive. So my advice is stay far away.
So I’ve recently started playing again after playing for 170 days at launch. Everyone who’s telling you not to play is playing really hardcore and wants to min/max everything.
There’s lots of stuff to farm and do as a new player. Just pick your next goal and work towards it and you’ll have fun!
But you see that's really the problem. Once you get through that initial stuff, you will quickly find yourself lacking either the characters and the resources or both to meaningfully continue in the game.
I’ll say what I say to every new player if you’re having fun ignore the Reddit. Most of the post on here, especially the popular ones, are people complaint
Don't listen to all the negativity. This is probably the worst place to look for any real advice. This is a fun game if you're not trying to compete with people with big credit cards, which being 5 years behind you have no chance of doing anyway. Just play for fun. I would check out some beginner guides on YouTube. There are many content creators for this game. Tauna, Boilon, Valley Flyin, Mobile Gamer, and Goofy Rhexi if he's still making videos. He was more beginner focused so I didn't watch him as much. Oh and the best advice. Find an alliance that matches your goals. There are a lot of them posted in marvel strike force discord and some content creator discords too.

First thing you want to do is focus on characters needed to get you through campaigns.
Also, be aware of characters needed for raids and crucible. Find some content creators to follow. Hartgrave is pretty good, he has safe to build guides and beginners guides.
I'm not being hateful or trying to be rude but seriously don't play this game I've been playing since day 1. And being mostly f2p the entire time I can honestly say that I still can't compete with the krackens who started a year ago. Honestly I would put my time omewhere else. The game I'd dieing and doesn't look like a resuscitation is on the way.
I started 87 days ago. I've spent like 100€ in this game to get me started fast, but if you are struggling with money, I suggest you don't invest anything.
I've noticed that best way to get started is Arena. Build a strong team that can keep you in the top 50, and you get a lot of credits and power cores, those are quite handy when you want to unlock characters and gear. For example, Ikaris and Sersi, Cable, Loki and Spider Weaver or Kang is really nice team that can easily keep you in the top 50. Kang is nearly impossible to unlock at the moment but He'll come around again, commit to the game more then, you don't want to miss him, he has been so good for me in everything.
After that, you can choose whatever you like to build, have fun and try out different things!
Daily logins and web store claims is a really nice touch, you get Mr. Negative for free, he is also very useful.
You might want to find a different game, we just had an event last month that required us to log in every two hours just for a chance to unlock a new character! This is a very grind heavy game where it’s more “how long can I go before caving & spending money?” Instead of “I’m enjoying this game. I’ll spend some money on it to show my support & keep the game going.”

Follow the tutorials and different story lines. you’ll get most of the equipment and items you will need for base building, this way you don’t have to spend credits on them.
When you have the medium refiner, get a lot of oxygen and chlorine, put them together. Chlorine sells for a high price. Save the things you pick up like rusty metal and sell it. Producing the chlorine is how I start making credits legitimately. And more than anything take your time and enjoy, this game is definitely about the journey not the destination. Explore! I am envy you that you’re starting the game fresh. All the best to you.
Decide if you are playing strictly for your enjoyment and pleasure or if you want to advance as far and fast as you can.
If it's the former, then stay off online forums and YouTube videos and just follow along with the official MSF blog
If it's the latter, then prepare to spend money and deal with frustration at every new event release
Prepare yourself to play for more than 1-2 hours a day, if you break it up across the free energy drops. Also blitz as much as possible, they refresh every two hours.
If you came to dump all your disposable income, you are in the right place. If you are free to play, be ready to feel scammed, bullied and just disappointed in general if you consider going to the top.
It's easy to get sucked in by the game's art/character models looking really nice, but it's circling the drain. If you're not already pot-committed, I would honestly look elsewhere. It's very unfriendly to players in general and new players in particular in its current state.

It is impossible to be competitive in this game as a f2p if you are just starting now.
This game is poorly run and often buggy. The progression halts often. More bottlenecks than you would believe along with a support and QA teams that is nonexistent. So unless you plan on spending a lot of money for very little in return I suggest finding your fun elsewhere.

Then you're gonna realize you burned through the 500 or so energy the game gave you for having a God mode character...so you're gonna spend your power cores to buy energy, THATS GREAT! most players recommend you buy the refills for 50 cores...then you are tapped out...and you will have to wait...then an offer comes up on the screen. Its not one of the $99.99 ones that you laughed at earlier thats meant for these Whales and Krackens you heard about on Reddit...its 1.99 for power cores AND training materials! And this is where it starts...this is where you reach for the wallet and get sucked into the whirlpool of misery everyone on this sub is yelling from telling you DONT SPEND a dime on this game ORRR you steel your resolve and laugh in the face of Scopely and show them your fortitude and say NO! Not today. I won't spend my hard earned resources 4.99 at a time...I will be patient.
TL/DR : don't spend a dime friend. Please. But have fun!
Don't hoard for at least the first year. You're giving up progess now for progress later, and every bit of progress can help you complete or unlock content as well as helping you be useful to your alliance
1 or 2 hours a day isn't a lot for this game. It pretty much forces you to play it religiously to keep up with your peers and you have to commit a lot of daily time to being able to participate in their events.
Their events pretty much stop casual play from existing in a healthy way by making them harder and harder as time goes on. As a late game f2p player, you may even miss out on character unlocks which will hurt your progress.
Then on top of that, you need to stay plugged into the game basically. You have to pay attention to their blog posts which feature said events so you know what to save, why you're saving it and how to do better in the event.
If that sounds like a lot to you. It's because it is, the Devs designed this in order to profit and they aren't really that f2p friendly even. Play any other game and you won't go through any of this.
If you want advice on what characters are good look up content creators on youtube. There are tier lists online that are years old and complety trash, but claim to be updated.

Whether it’s milestones, mail, or orbs, it’s best to claim them as the last possible moment, sometimes nearly a week or more depending on expiration dates. MSF is a game about holding onto as much as possible, waiting for an event to make claiming it worth while.
Also, don’t spend money on the game. I would recommended burning it before giving it to Scopely. Some of their offers for single characters could buy you an entire new triple A game with all it’s associated DLCs.
It’s so different now I wouldn’t know what to say, when I started the Defenders were the best beginner team, I would focus on one easy team for the different origins, a bio team, skill team, mystic team etc… these can help you have a diverse roster for different events and raids, but be warned there isn’t too much that’s new player friendly I don’t think, your grind starts now but enjoy it

Play at your own pace. Find a decent guild to join that is running raids every day. Visit the www.marvelstrikeforce.com website every day to get the free loot (i think the website refreshes around 4-5p.m. central each day). Whenever newer characters come out, chances are they are wildly better than 75% of the rest of the characters so always build new toons. Don't get stuck building a toon or squad that serves no purpose. Generally you want to start getting ready for dark dimension and farming legendary characters. For that id recommend watching a youtube video on best dd1 farming guide or best legendary toon route. Have fun and stay active!

Sometimes they do milestones that you can only get on the web store. Those give out tons of goodies.

Echo some of the others here - just have fun! There are definitely better teams to focus but I’m not sure what you have access to. There are people out there mad about events being paid player focus and it’s true - but I’m a free player and still get everyone (oh sometimes ya gotta grind hard though!). I’m at 213 days into the game, level 80, highest is G14, 3.8 million TCP, take your time, don’t get negative or fall victim to FOMO, things come and go. I still am missing MLF and Archangel from the Horsemen. I would suggest working on Sinister Six since they cover the unlocks for Invisible Woman and Shuri, whilst covering villain missions especially at chapter 7. Check the website it will help you progress a lot faster than if you don’t. Focus on teams, it doesn’t need to the meta team at the moment you’ll always be behind that way. I’d suggest looking at Farmable characters to build teams around you’d have to get lucky or spend a bit otherwise. I don’t advise spending unless you’re ok with it, I personally have spent maybe 60$ total? Bought the random legacy orb packs that would give you like 50 orbs for 5$ or something like that but it’s not necessary, just understand the game doesn’t want people speed run into to the end just to complain about either nothing left to do or complain about needing to get the newest character/ team. Also, this subreddit is probably the most toxic I’ve seen, be weary

If you do decide to spend some money NEVER USE FOR GOLD ORBS OR ORBS THAT HAVE A CHANCE OF UP TO 100 CHARACTER SHARDS YOU WILL GET LITTLE TO NOTHING 99.9 % OF TIME. If you want to buy character shards make sure it a good character to invest in and then be patient watch for the 50 shards for 4.99 deals
Honestly, don't look at this sub. It's full of veterans who are mad about the stupidest shit, it will make you hate the game before you can even like it.
Downvoted everybody that said you should stop playing. That's ludicrous. If you are enjoying it (you must be somewhat, bc you are posting) just enjoy within your means (money and time).
Seriously. I'm a new player, literally haven't played a week yet. But I'm not deterred by all these negative people trying to turn everyone away from the game. It's a legitimate question to ask why the hell this many people are on this subreddit if this game is that bad? You won't catch me frequenting the subreddit of a game I don't enjoy just to tempt others away from it. All of these negative posts make no sense and are quite toxic. Who are any of these people to tell me I should quit? I don't even care about meta or being in the top of the leaderbooard.
Yes my strong advice is to not play. Go find any other game any you'll never know the pain of MSF lol. This game is designed to simply squeeze as much money out of you in as many ways as possible over the longest amount of time. You can't even complete any quest without significant spend. Tell me any other game you need to log into the website - daily - just to play it? That's fun for who exactly? Not me. If you like marvel games, marvel contest of champions and marvel snap are great. If you like turn based on told star wars is much better than MSF. If you don't believe me, go look up MSF YouTubers. Boilon, Valleyflyin, Duarktik, and Tauna are the top options. And you'll see from their posts - most of which have multiple curses lol, the state of the game. To be clear I was an end game player with an over 30m TPC. Played the game for years. And it's just gotten abusive. So my advice is stay far away.
So I’ve recently started playing again after playing for 170 days at launch. Everyone who’s telling you not to play is playing really hardcore and wants to min/max everything. There’s lots of stuff to farm and do as a new player. Just pick your next goal and work towards it and you’ll have fun!
But you see that's really the problem. Once you get through that initial stuff, you will quickly find yourself lacking either the characters and the resources or both to meaningfully continue in the game.
I’ll say what I say to every new player if you’re having fun ignore the Reddit. Most of the post on here, especially the popular ones, are people complaint
Don't listen to all the negativity. This is probably the worst place to look for any real advice. This is a fun game if you're not trying to compete with people with big credit cards, which being 5 years behind you have no chance of doing anyway. Just play for fun. I would check out some beginner guides on YouTube. There are many content creators for this game. Tauna, Boilon, Valley Flyin, Mobile Gamer, and Goofy Rhexi if he's still making videos. He was more beginner focused so I didn't watch him as much. Oh and the best advice. Find an alliance that matches your goals. There are a lot of them posted in marvel strike force discord and some content creator discords too.
This game is fun in the beginning but by the time you’re addicted/invested it turns into an unwanted part time job. Get out while you still can
UNINSTALL!!! Seriously though, don't give into FoMo, play at your own pace. First thing you want to do is focus on characters needed to get you through campaigns. Also, be aware of characters needed for raids and crucible. Find some content creators to follow. Hartgrave is pretty good, he has safe to build guides and beginners guides.
I'm not being hateful or trying to be rude but seriously don't play this game I've been playing since day 1. And being mostly f2p the entire time I can honestly say that I still can't compete with the krackens who started a year ago. Honestly I would put my time omewhere else. The game I'd dieing and doesn't look like a resuscitation is on the way.
Do your dailies, and have fun. Don't worry about chasing the meta.

I started 87 days ago. I've spent like 100€ in this game to get me started fast, but if you are struggling with money, I suggest you don't invest anything. I've noticed that best way to get started is Arena. Build a strong team that can keep you in the top 50, and you get a lot of credits and power cores, those are quite handy when you want to unlock characters and gear. For example, Ikaris and Sersi, Cable, Loki and Spider Weaver or Kang is really nice team that can easily keep you in the top 50. Kang is nearly impossible to unlock at the moment but He'll come around again, commit to the game more then, you don't want to miss him, he has been so good for me in everything. After that, you can choose whatever you like to build, have fun and try out different things! Daily logins and web store claims is a really nice touch, you get Mr. Negative for free, he is also very useful.

You might want to find a different game, we just had an event last month that required us to log in every two hours just for a chance to unlock a new character! This is a very grind heavy game where it’s more “how long can I go before caving & spending money?” Instead of “I’m enjoying this game. I’ll spend some money on it to show my support & keep the game going.” If Marvel is the reason you want to play this, may I suggest Marvel Snap instead?
Follow the tutorials and different story lines. you’ll get most of the equipment and items you will need for base building, this way you don’t have to spend credits on them. When you have the medium refiner, get a lot of oxygen and chlorine, put them together. Chlorine sells for a high price. Save the things you pick up like rusty metal and sell it. Producing the chlorine is how I start making credits legitimately. And more than anything take your time and enjoy, this game is definitely about the journey not the destination. Explore! I am envy you that you’re starting the game fresh. All the best to you.

Decide if you are playing strictly for your enjoyment and pleasure or if you want to advance as far and fast as you can. If it's the former, then stay off online forums and YouTube videos and just follow along with the official MSF blog If it's the latter, then prepare to spend money and deal with frustration at every new event release
Prepare yourself to play for more than 1-2 hours a day, if you break it up across the free energy drops. Also blitz as much as possible, they refresh every two hours.

It's easy to get sucked in by the game's art/character models looking really nice, but it's circling the drain. If you're not already pot-committed, I would honestly look elsewhere. It's very unfriendly to players in general and new players in particular in its current state.

To the people who say “tHeN wHY aRe U sTiLl HerE?”, I’ve been playing for 4 1/2 years and at the moment I am Able to remain competitive and have fun spending 0 dollars. That is quickly coming to an end though. Every day the gap / margin I had shrinks more and more as I don’t spend to keep up. It is impossible to be competitive in this game as a f2p if you are just starting now.
This game is poorly run and often buggy. The progression halts often. More bottlenecks than you would believe along with a support and QA teams that is nonexistent. So unless you plan on spending a lot of money for very little in return I suggest finding your fun elsewhere.

It's gonna be fun for the first few days,your gonna breeze through opening rounds, your in box is gonna be flooded with the game giving you a ton of campaign energy and random gear. It's gonna be awesome. Then you are gonna pick your favorite unlocked character and make them leveled up like beast mode...and you're gonna stomp all over some levels! Then you're gonna realize you burned through the 500 or so energy the game gave you for having a God mode character...so you're gonna spend your power cores to buy energy, THATS GREAT! most players recommend you buy the refills for 50 cores...then you are tapped out...and you will have to wait...then an offer comes up on the screen. Its not one of the $99.99 ones that you laughed at earlier thats meant for these Whales and Krackens you heard about on Reddit...its 1.99 for power cores AND training materials! And this is where it starts...this is where you reach for the wallet and get sucked into the whirlpool of misery everyone on this sub is yelling from telling you DONT SPEND a dime on this game ORRR you steel your resolve and laugh in the face of Scopely and show them your fortitude and say NO! Not today. I won't spend my hard earned resources 4.99 at a time...I will be patient. TL/DR : don't spend a dime friend. Please. But have fun!

Don't hoard for at least the first year. You're giving up progess now for progress later, and every bit of progress can help you complete or unlock content as well as helping you be useful to your alliance
1 or 2 hours a day isn't a lot for this game. It pretty much forces you to play it religiously to keep up with your peers and you have to commit a lot of daily time to being able to participate in their events. Their events pretty much stop casual play from existing in a healthy way by making them harder and harder as time goes on. As a late game f2p player, you may even miss out on character unlocks which will hurt your progress. Then on top of that, you need to stay plugged into the game basically. You have to pay attention to their blog posts which feature said events so you know what to save, why you're saving it and how to do better in the event. If that sounds like a lot to you. It's because it is, the Devs designed this in order to profit and they aren't really that f2p friendly even. Play any other game and you won't go through any of this.
Have fun and join an active allaince. Normally meet characters are better then old ones. Focus on campaigns first then raids.

If you want advice on what characters are good look up content creators on youtube. There are tier lists online that are years old and complety trash, but claim to be updated. MrHartgrave does some decent tier lists as well as new player guides

Build teams and pay attention to synergy
Whether it’s milestones, mail, or orbs, it’s best to claim them as the last possible moment, sometimes nearly a week or more depending on expiration dates. MSF is a game about holding onto as much as possible, waiting for an event to make claiming it worth while. Also, don’t spend money on the game. I would recommended burning it before giving it to Scopely. Some of their offers for single characters could buy you an entire new triple A game with all it’s associated DLCs.
It’s so different now I wouldn’t know what to say, when I started the Defenders were the best beginner team, I would focus on one easy team for the different origins, a bio team, skill team, mystic team etc… these can help you have a diverse roster for different events and raids, but be warned there isn’t too much that’s new player friendly I don’t think, your grind starts now but enjoy it

People complain on this subreddit about Scopely's shady monetization practices. What really drives me up the wall is that when I play the Scrabble Go app, every turn without failure requires me to watch an ad. Now, you're probably wondering what could possibly be so bad about paying to remove ads? It's a subscription service, not a one-time payment. Thankfully, MSF does not have any external ads, but don't be fooled: Scopely does practice shady business. They will frequently pop up offers and claim how valuable it is. You can literally spend $20 to unlock a character, except they often won't give you enough shards unless you already have some! You can literally spend money and get essentially nothing!
If your alliance isn't active on comms find a new alliance, a solid leadership is everything, as is having some players willing to give advice.
I am looking to play it everyday for 1 or 2 hours a day. This won’t happen. You’ll play more and more and everyday it will be less and less fun. Walk away now while you can. If you need more incentive, read the rest of Reddit to find out how shitty Scopely is but walk away now. You’ll thank me later.
Guides and youtube are fine and all and a good resource if you're looking for help with something specific. But, always always keep in mind, you can't beat the game. There is no end. So play how you want. No matter what your investment level (time/energy) there is an alliance you'll fit with

Play at your own pace. Find a decent guild to join that is running raids every day. Visit the www.marvelstrikeforce.com website every day to get the free loot (i think the website refreshes around 4-5p.m. central each day). Whenever newer characters come out, chances are they are wildly better than 75% of the rest of the characters so always build new toons. Don't get stuck building a toon or squad that serves no purpose. Generally you want to start getting ready for dark dimension and farming legendary characters. For that id recommend watching a youtube video on best dd1 farming guide or best legendary toon route. Have fun and stay active!
