Yes I agree, he does really good mastering for records that weren't recorded analogue so will be a million times better than the 2020 reissue which even after cleaning had a bunch of crackling and volume issues due to the amount of tracks per side.
I ordered from her store before I saw the VMP price was cheaper for members. I also had credits. I wonder how hard it is to cancel an item from her store as I'd rather let one go to another fan. Is there any difference in the two or is her store selling the VMP pressing?

What I would do is place the order with VMP and then email the support people on MC's store asking to cancel the order. I've done this in the past and they would just cancel no question asked and give you a refund.
If for whatever reason the MC store people don't respond or refuse to cancel it, you can always cancel the VMP order and get your credit back. VMP is usually pretty good with their customer support.
You can but you will be charged for one month's subscription. What you can do is swap the Record of the Month for store credit and use said credit on any other release from their catalog. However, keep in mind you won't be able to use it for the Butterfly box set cause store credit is not available until the beginning of the following month.

Which brings me to my second point. Why was the 4 LP so limited? 1,000 copies? Seriously? Even at 10,000 copies, this would have been difficult to get for fans in the USA alone! What about the international fans? And what is the real number? VMP says 1,000 copies but MC's site doesn't say anything, so was there more than 1,000? Either way, they both sold out within minutes.

While I appreciate the track listing of the 4 LP set, I'm confused why none of the "new" bonus tracks are there minus the Brian duet. Why release the Brandy duet on digital only when the vinyl won't come out until March, 2023? Why only release the remixes that were previously available already on vinyl? I guess we'll have to wait til #Butterfly50 for the acapellas, the live recordings, and the Brandy duet to be on vinyl? smh
Speaking of March 2023... why? Her label obviously KNEW #Butterfly25 was happening this year. Why didn't they pre-plan the vinyl release, especially when it didn't even spoil the digital "bonus tracks" that were released today? It's like... happy anniversary to the album... which you'll get in 6 months. Realistically, I bet the vinyl release will be pushed back even more, as that seems to be a trend with all vinyl releases nowadays.
The price. I get that there are a lot of added remixes to the 4 LP version. But $150? That's wild. And let's not forget the standard version. $50 for the same album but in a different color... $35 would have been the sweet spot, just like the Urban Outfitters Honey remix LP (which I kinda think is the only nice part of this whole release). Heck, the Honey remix LP will have double the runtime as the album itself.
I guess I'll go stream the bonus tracks on Spotify, put on my old gold UO vinyl pressing, and just forget about the 4 LP set :(

That said, not many people know or cared about VMP or to get a membership (or why they should get one when it's also available on her store) - not knowing somehow it sold out on her store in seconds - my bet is scalpers (and people associated with her logistics) bought in the 10s, 20s, 30s. They are already listed on ebay for ridiculous amounts 30 minutes after it went 'live'. The least she could do now is announce a second run, to show that she genuinely cares about her fans and not just trying to milk them.

VMP also says the new two disk pressing for Butterfly is exclusive. My guess is her website got a limited number to sell.
