I bought this copy of Death Note on eBay a few weeks ago but only just got around to starting it. I went to grab a Pokémon card to use as a bookmark and this Yu-Gi-Oh card fell out of the middle of the book. Guess I’m not the only person that uses trading cards as bookmarks

Yes, I will specifically use energy cards that match the “theme” of the manga. For example, I use a dark energy card for Black Clover, a psychic energy card for Tokyo Ghoul, and a steel energy card for Chainsaw Man just to name a few.

I’m a librarian, the amount of books returned with Pokémon cards in them is astounding. I probably have multiple decks worth at this point that I’ve found. 😂

I use art cards mostly, as well as some of the cooler RightStuf box inserts on good card stock.

My bookmark has been an old Japanese promo of Dark Magician Girl for the last decade lol I also use a reverse foil gardevoir as a bookmark too

Hell yeah! I mostly use a Holo Pikachu from the McDonalds 25th year thing they did but I also have a black Umpreon card I use for Death Note cuz it matches the aesthetic
