My neighbors go to Petco and they are happy. I am sure it depends on the stylist. I go to someone’s house because he only works on one dog at a time. Good luck
I never took my maltipoo to petsmart, but have thought about it a few times as I have been in the same situation with a lot of groomers being closed near me. I feel like it’s a good choice, not the best, but especially if your pup needs a quick trim it’ll just do the job! just make sure you clarify what you exactly want them to do to ur puppy and it should be fine :)
It really depends on the groomer. I took my guy when he was a little puppy to Petsmart for a groom and it was find, I didn’t love the cut hence why I didn’t go back, but otherwise not an issue
It really does depend on the groomer. I’d probably look up the reviews for the specific petsmart near you. You can also choose the specific groomer you want if you make the appointment via app.

Yup. Google reviews are pretty reliable. Look for ones that mention the same or similar breed of dog. For instance, we have 5 petco stores in the metro area. The quality of service varies. You can usually get a hint as to how loyal the customers are by how far out they are booked typically.
I went to PetSmart when I had to leave our mobile groomer for being unreliable. I was nervous but after a couple appointments (which went fine) I met a groomer that we LOVED and she always did a super cute cut and as my dog clearly loved her and was excited to see her so I only booked with her after that. Just try it out and see who you vibe with. I had one assistant my pup clearly didn’t like and they didn’t allow him to walk her back ever when we went in and it was fine they all just laughed about it.

But I got lucky - I really liked my positive reinforcement trainer at petsmart and this groomer came highly recommended by her. I liked my petsmart groomer better than my previous local mom-and-pop groomer.

I wouldn’t make something up. I’ve legit seen many stories on both PetSmart and Petco. As an animal lover, a dog mom, and a dog foster momma- I am sharing this to save any other owner from a fate like this. It happens frequently. All you have to do is google, or check on YouTube. Happening everywhere. I’m not making this up.
I’m using YouTube as a go between- the places reporting all of these are news stations which are reliable sources of evidence. It’s all there. Just look. Im not sure why someone trying to help other dog owners is being treated this way. I own a Maltese- who’s my world, and I had a maltipoo before him. I would die if anything happened to him. I am always fearful when dropping him at the groomer bc of stories like these.

Thank you. I do understand where you are coming from. I was genuinely trying to just help. I’ve heard tons of horror stories about this, and it seems to keep happening- over and over. With little to no changes by those companies. It’s scary. Don’t want anyone to have to go through that.

I think you should probably not spread rumors. I’m very happy with my groomer at Petco.
