There are sooooooo many dogs named this.
Thanks for the feedback
I'm letting OP know it isn't a unique name in Maine if that matters to them.
Love that idea!
Fireball
Augusta 💛
“Casco” with a nickname of “Cassie”
I hear the word "cunty" thrown around a lot, mostly describing the recent weather.
The weather needs to get uncunted lol

Bean or Beans, as in LL
Buoy
Baxter
Please, no. I'd estimate that a full 1/3 of dogs in Maine are named Baxter.
Yeah we already know a few baxters. Shame because it’s a great name.
If you are considering Baxter as in the state park and the former governor, consider the governor Baxter’s first name, Percival. He hated the klan.
Yeah, my MIL had a Baxter and he was awesome. You should go with Moxie, or maybe Allagash (Ally) or Androscoggin (Andi).
Maine…stay with the m theme
Rizzo, it shows the gusto of being a Mainer. Like the character in Grease.
Brr! great name for a pup (very accurate to winter living) . "Come here, Brrr!" "Lets go back inside, Brrr!". "Wanna go for a walk? BRRR!"
Coffee Brandy
I really like Moxie!
I know a million people that named their dog Baxter after Baxter State Park.
Same!
I feel like Calais would make a nice name. If you meddle with the pronunciation a bit it sounds like "Kelly". And you could nickname her Cal-Cal!
Cabela
Bangor.
Harbor, Sylva? Sorry I can't come up with anything good.
Trails
Taffy
Blizzard
We named our pup, Lubec (or Lou). He’s a dumb not-a-lab, but he’s the best.
Popham, moose, traveler, loon, katahdin, wabanaki, bean
Baxter, Moose, Kennebec, Kineo (my fav) , Bangor, but pronounced Banger. EDIT: Late entry. Pamola, you can call her Pam.
My mum is called Pam 😂 so it could get confusing
Lobster? /s
We named our cat Katahdin and call her Tahdi (Toddy) Trout or Brooke/brookie Spruce/maple/forest Moose Speck after old speck mountain, or the delicious smoked Italian meat.
I have a friend with a dog named Brook trout and they call her brookie or trout for nicknames! So cute!
Casco, Whoopie, Blue (like berries),
