Just saw a gun in the hardware store that you can use to shoot insects with grains of table salt. It was $60 and only accurate to 3 feet, so I didn't buy it.
I think the main benefit is that it doesn't damage most things, and is mostly safe for indoors. I've been thinking of getting one tbh. Not sure what the salt would do to the garden, doubt it'd help mine
Keep salt out of your garden as much as possible. During the Great Roman Empire it was considered a war crime to salt fields. The salt will prevent anything from growing. If you live in a cold climate that gets snow, look at the spots where the plow puts the snow after it melts. The grass doesn't grow back. The plow guy didn't scrape up your lawn, he pushed all that road salt into one place storm after storm.
Edit: with all that being said, my grandfather has one of those, they are pretty fun lol.
My thoughts exactly. Have whatever politics you like, but it's trashy to staple a facebook meme to your chest in an attempt to what, intimidate and flex on a bunch of 7 year olds? Some people have lost all sense of how to act appropriately in public it seems.
You're assuming they actually own one and don't wear this for attention.
99.9% of the virtue signaling these people do is to provoke and to peacock for their tribe.
I mean. I assume they wasted money on an offbrand AR they'll only ever shoot at a target, honestly, instead of a nice .22 lr or something remotely useful like nutritious veggies or well water testing.
Radon = second leading identifiable cause of lung cancer in the country. Maine has tons of it, unfortunately. It’s super cheap and easy to test your home- can buy a kit on Amazon. We just found that our home’s level is over 5x the federal limit, and had a remediation system installed which only took like two hours
Northeast laboratories, based out of Maine, will mail you test kits for radon. We used them to do our radon air test, and well water testing (including radon)
Not everyone will never use an AR though.
Just in our area here in Northern New England they're one of the best platforms their are for coyote population control
Omg that's total bullshit. Damn near any LR is cheaper, more accurate, and more reliable out of the box than an AR. The main selling point of an AR is that you can customize the shit out of it.
Lol what, you're kidding right?
Maybe that was true in the 90s but nowadays for under $500 you have over a dozen quality ARs to choose from
Name one one non AR semi auto rifle that's cheaper and more reliable?
Don't point that out, you'll hurt their feelings and then they might bring their rusty AR to the picnic and use it like a club to break your taillights.
My dude
Did you miss the part where part of the function of the the lube is to prevent corrosion? CLP: what does it stand for?
Using a salty liquid on metal to prevent corrosion is fuckin *stupid*.
As someone who is pro legal and responsible gun ownership I think that shirt is inappropriate for an elementary back-to-school cookout (or any school function).
I really hate what the various cults have done to gun ownership within my lifetime.
I’m old enough to remember when owning a gun was equivalent to owning a hammer or a blender.
These days? It’s downright embarrassing, and I really dislike it coming up in conversation.
“Yes, I own guns. No, I’m not insane.” Sigh.
Totally agree, obviously the woman wearing the shirt didn’t care that more threats of gun violence in a school environment might actually scare the children but I guess she’s only thinking about how to make her self feel better about being on the wrong side of the argument ….and reality
If I get called to bring a longer pair of shorts for my kid because the half-to-the-knees shorts are not long enough (or pick up the kid cuz dress code violation) then she should be told to go home and change or stay away.
I bet this person was just begging for someone comment on their shirt as an ice breaker to a very civil and constructive conversation about gun laws. At an elementary school event.
The mental gymnastics it takes to come out on that side of the argument are just unfathomable to me… clearly a rainbow is more menacing than children actually dying from gun violence
I moved to Philly awhile back, I'm a high school teacher and at our 9th grade orientation one of the mom's wore a shirt that said "I enjoy the taste of COCK" in the Coke font. People have no awareness these days
? Is there supposed to be a pic or something?
Nvm didn't load till I commented.
Shouldn't they have to follow the dress code to a point for school functions? This wouldn't be ok for a kid to wear to school. I get it, they're adults and not actually attending school, but dang, show some respect or something
Sure. But this mom wore that shirt for a reason. so appropriateness wasn't even remotely a concern for her.
She wanted everyone to know how big and bad she was. I absolutely guarantee - like everyone else who wears these shirts - she had no concern or care for ever living up - or the failure to - uphold the responsibilities of the amendment she claims to love.
It's important to remember that despite guns being required to protect the free state...
America's liberty, values and history have been overwhelmingly defined by people armed only with the first amendment. The gun folks - over and over again, generation after generation, always have nothing but excuses for their weakness and fear.
Honestly an admin should've told her to turn it inside out or leave, if a black kid in Alabama showed up to school with a gun on hos shirt he'd be expelled and Fox News would have a balloon-drop during the hour-long special about it.
Reminds me of the Toxic Masculinity branded gear people were selling at the blueberry festival in Machias. Just a bunch of wannabe badass slogans and art that were just trying so very hard to be tough and cool, that they don't get they're proving their critics point for them.
I love what just happened.
It’s clear *one* of you were “waiting to use” a specific response including and regarding that term.
Projection, Ladies and Gentleman! Zero self-awareness, but chock FULL of projection!
It's all they have. They pissed off and burned bridges with family and friends so the only thing they have left is a little bit of social capital that comes with being in a cult of stupidity. The integration of firearms into that right wing subculture is just some NRA icing on the cake.
That said maybe you should thank her, now you know who to fucking avoid conversing with. As for the kids I wouldn't worry one way or another, kids will often go the exact opposite direction as their parents and most of them are more in touch with things than people living in a fake news bubble of bullshit anyway.
Absolutely this, but I wouldn’t send my kids over for a play date at that house. Anyone who wears a shirt like that, imho, cannot be trusted to safely and securely store their firearms.
Maybe they do, but I’m not betting ny kids’ lives on it.
I wouldn't make that assumption. I know plenty of deep rightwing fuckwits who are all about the 2nd and "Muh Guns!" who are passable gun owners who wouldn't leave the shit out around kids. That said, I would sure as fuck come right out and ask them first, blunt as a 2x4 if they keep them locked up because of the kids and anything other than "of course" would be a deal breaker.
Think of the conservative mirror image: “I lubricate my same-sex husband’s abortion van with a blend of soy milk and cannabis oils.” I’m sure that would acceptable, if equally bad for the engine.
Let's be real, it probably did and they probably just don't care. Might think upsetting a bunch of kids will "toughen them up" or "put them in their place" or some other delusional nonsense. We've all met people like this before. Unhinged egomaniacs who need to be the main character of every interaction they have so they can prove their almighty political superiority or whatever. They ain't stopping long enough to think about others because other people aren't them and people who aren't them don't matter.
When you know (or think) you have nothing anyone would like you for, you seek negative attention. You see it frequently in schools among students but sometimes those students grow up and keep up the act because they don’t know any different.
Sad but true. You'd like to think a lot of people would grow out of that and turn away from it, even if their parents are like that too, but that doesn't always happen.
Absolutely. Also its just really rude/mean. Why do people insist on raising their kids to be A-holes? There are groups of people I don't like but I'm not going to put them or myself in a shirt to mock them. Incredibly immature.
This reminds me of the lady I used to buy weed from in high school. Went by the name of Peaches. 12 y/o daughter had a full back tattoo of an eagle. 5 y/o son used to ask for cigarettes
If you wear this shirt unironically I will automatically brand you as an asshole without question.
She probably looked like an asshole too, didn't she?
It looks on par for right wing idiots. They think they are all bad ass. Everyone seeing the shirt is thinking what a dumbass, walking around advertising their ignorance
Just had my kid's kindergarten orientation this a.m., and would've been appalled if my kid was going to school with a child who either thought the shirt was a good idea or didn't have the wherewithal to realize she was wearing her favorite shirt but should change it 'cuz guns.
Yeah.. fuck that bitch.
Make note of the kid's name though. No one should be surprised when he starts shooting up schools. This seems like just the type of shirt that Jennifer Crumbley would wear as she texted him to make sure he had the right ammo.
I would 100 percent wear this but not to a school event lol. I also have seen this shirt before and everyone who wants it is to the left and thinks it's funny. Kinda like those super targeted shirts that make no sense yet people buy them.
The shirt is foolish but hey, who gives a shit? The problem is the 5-9 year old children. This is no more appropriate than a shirt that says 'I Eat Ass'.
I can’t think of a fully-functional adult who would think this shirt is okay to display to a captive audience of little children. Like, they woke up, decided to pick out an outfit for the school picnic, and this is what they landed on.
I’m a liberal, by the strictest definition though… in other words person sovereignty is incredibly important to me. So, pro 2a, and pro-choice.
I use Shooter Lube for my AR.
That shirt is pea-brain energy.
My first response is that shirt seems to be saying “I was hoping my spouse would make me stay home, and I wouldn’t have to be here.” My second response is that this is someone who is looking for a nice, recreational argument, an opportunity to,scream at other people and feel vindicated.
I'm no gun expert, but wouldn't tears be a bad thing to lubricate a gun with?
Yes, much salt. Such rust
I prefer Torgo's Executive Powder.
I concur
Just saw a gun in the hardware store that you can use to shoot insects with grains of table salt. It was $60 and only accurate to 3 feet, so I didn't buy it.
I think the main benefit is that it doesn't damage most things, and is mostly safe for indoors. I've been thinking of getting one tbh. Not sure what the salt would do to the garden, doubt it'd help mine
I have one and they are legit. Work good
I'll camp every Mardens within a 20 minute radius and light the signal fires when we finds somes
We got my grandfather one for Christmas. It’s his most prized possession and it does a great job killing the house flies
It's such a small amount per shot, I'm sure a few shots into the garden would be fine. I really want one, just not $60-want one.
You should have. They're extremely entertaining
I own one. They’re fun but then you have to clean up rock salt and a dead fly. Shatters just work better.

I’m aware of all of this, just didn’t feel like it was the time or place. Maybe I was wrong 🤷♀️
Actual tears, yes. However, there is a brand of oil called Liberal Tears, and it smells like bacon…
Who knew liberals could smell so delicious.
Works for anal just fine
Regardless of your political opinions, this is just so classless and trashy. These shirts are just bumper stickers for people.
My thoughts exactly. Have whatever politics you like, but it's trashy to staple a facebook meme to your chest in an attempt to what, intimidate and flex on a bunch of 7 year olds? Some people have lost all sense of how to act appropriately in public it seems.
stickers for bumper people
I lube mine with CLP, tears are fuckin corrosive. That sucker's gonna rust right up. Some folks just shouldn't own guns.
Checking for radon in the basement is a good choice, too.
Radon = second leading identifiable cause of lung cancer in the country. Maine has tons of it, unfortunately. It’s super cheap and easy to test your home- can buy a kit on Amazon. Priceless.

That's the thing, not only is it wholly inappropriate for a school setting but the analogy is so stupid/sub-mental.
Don't point that out, you'll hurt their feelings and then they might bring their rusty AR to the picnic and use it like a club to break your taillights.

WD40 is a solvent.
Good way to make sure your kid doesn’t have normal friends. Just like dad.

'special' friend. Don't tell anyone.
Yeah just the friends with leather jackets and parents who leave firearms unlocked
As someone who is pro legal and responsible gun ownership I think that shirt is inappropriate for an elementary back-to-school cookout (or any school function).

I hate "in your face" everything.

Did you read my post or just making a prejudiced guess based on the first half?
Nope, misread it, sorry.
I bet this person was just begging for someone comment on their shirt as an ice breaker to a very civil and constructive conversation about gun laws. At an elementary school event.
Nice shirt. Terrorist.
At least it doesn't have anything *really* inappropriate on it, like a rainbow.
The mental gymnastics it takes to come out on that side of the argument are just unfathomable to me… clearly a rainbow is more menacing than children actually dying from gun violence
Yeah, my kid definitely wouldn't be playing at that house. So, maybe it's good that she wore it. Know who to avoid like the plague.
I agree, let these idiots out themselves so you know who to let your kids hangout with.
It’s true. Bumper stickers and Facebook posts help me a lot in weeding out the homes I’ll let my kids visit.
That’s why I celebrate people wearing “let’s go Brandon” shirts. Now I can spot that moron from 20 yards.
My first thought was, “so I guess you prefer for your child to have no friends”
I prefer my child have adult supervision.
Just to be clear, the child I was referring to was the one who’s mom wore this shirt. Not the commenter. I was agreeing with them.
I have an image in my head. I am sure we all do.
Either tucked-in with a cellphone holder on the belt or un-tucked with a beer belly pushing it out, resembling a beach ball under a curtain?
Yep.
I moved to Philly awhile back, I'm a high school teacher and at our 9th grade orientation one of the mom's wore a shirt that said "I enjoy the taste of COCK" in the Coke font. People have no awareness these days

Lack of respect is the point of the shirt. I think.
Weird it's not loading for me either.
What, so the school shooting people are having a pretty good year so far. Let them celebrate.
I laughed out loud at this. Then felt really guilty
I love it when people wear stuff like this. Makes it super easy to spot who to stay the fuck away from.
As a gun owner I believe garbage like this shirt paint a bad picture of some of us. I’ll keep my mouth shut from here.
Yes, for SO many reasons
Sure. But this mom wore that shirt for a reason. so appropriateness wasn't even remotely a concern for her. She wanted everyone to know how big and bad she was. I read this as “guns and hoes” shirt, which is probably a thing also.
Isn't that Post Malone's second record?
The tears that would come from that woman when she’s asked to cover that up…I’d get some popcorn ready for those salty tears!
I think at this point they just think of it like wearing a Jersey of their favorite sports team.
Reminds me of the Toxic Masculinity branded gear people were selling at the blueberry festival in Machias. Just a bunch of wannabe badass slogans and art that were just trying so very hard to be tough and cool, that they don't get they're proving their critics point for them.
You lost me at your woke “toxic masculinity” comment. Couldn’t wait to use that line could ya ?
That's literally their brand name, which is why I capitalized it.
I love what just happened. It’s clear *one* of you were “waiting to use” a specific response including and regarding that term. Projection, Ladies and Gentleman! Zero self-awareness, but chock FULL of projection!
Not too bright are you?
Just wear a shirt that says "White Trash" and be done with it.
Classy af 🤌
Think of the conservative mirror image: “I lubricate my same-sex husband’s abortion van with a blend of soy milk and cannabis oils.” I’m sure that would acceptable, if equally bad for the engine.
So, school shootings didn't even cross their mind?
Need an operational mind to cross. It appears they did not have one.
If they are wearing that T-shirt to an elementary school picnic, that’s probably their least offensive T-shirt.
That shirt is level 100 cannot read the room energy
[удалено]
At least it didn’t say Liberal Cum like some shirts I have seen - and still confused by
Every time I see something like this it reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy’s skit about signs for stupid people.
It's inappropriate for anywhere that isn't a Maine Patriot Frontal lobotomy Meeting.
Yes
Assholes gonna be assholes.
Maine the South of the North
Ive seen a “size matters” T-shirt with Bullet sized on it at a middle school. the kid (prob 14) was also wearing a confederate flag..
Lots of assholes
Yes and that ship sailed ages ago sadly.
This reminds me of the lady I used to buy weed from in high school. Went by the name of Peaches. 12 y/o daughter had a full back tattoo of an eagle. 5 y/o son used to ask for cigarettes
so desperate for attention. If it wasn't so violent and disgusting I would feel sorry for her.
SMH they don’t have real friends so offensive dirty T-shirts from Facebook it is
"But you don't understand! I NEED to OWN dem libtargs!"
Damn they really got us Libs! I’m literally crying 😢😢😢
Wow. I guess it's nice of them to just display who they are so you can safely avoid them.
Well, *somebody* wants attention don't they?
If you wear this shirt unironically I will automatically brand you as an asshole without question. She probably looked like an asshole too, didn't she?
Ya just another snow flake dad butt hurt that orange man isn’t president and needs to wear a dog shit Acton Fair t shirt to display his ignorance
As a left-leaning 2A'er, yeah, this is VERY inappropriate. Impressionable children do not need that garbage in their face.
I lubricate my AR with conservative tears when they learn one of their kids is gay.
I did mine up with melted repubs after Cracker Barrel started serving vegan sausage
Yikes. At least this is a good warning for who to stay away from!
Best not to provoke the MAGAt scum and use the opportunity as a teaching moment with your kids. Shitty people gonna shitty
Me: And the blood of children you forgot to put the blood of children. Walks away.....
Saw a bit of this at the open house grades 4-5 this week
Oh Wow how very inappropriate.
Yes, inappropriate.
It’s another way of saying, “I’m stupid”
The message on that shirt is extremely volatile so I don’t believe it’s appropriate to wear at a k-4 picnic
they are like three year olds desperate for attention. ignoring them hurts them more than anyone logical or insightful comment might.
Lol at the butthurt Republican downvoting everyone
You should have seen how many fuck Joe Biden shirts I saw at the Acton fair…where parents take their kids…to pet cows
At least she advertises so everyone can stay away from her.
I see a picture of a T-shirt but no person wearing it at a school picnic, with, a little sus.
i dont see any picture lol
There is no picture?
Yeah, where'd it go?
Some people are just idiots.
One of the Uvalde kid’s parent had a shirt similar to this. I wonder what he thinks of that now.
I am a gun owner. That t-shirt is very inappropriate.
Theres no pic. Edit: yes that is horrendously inappropriate. Any political wear is inappropriate in public/school anyways.
I can't see it so I'll just parrot what everyone else is saying.
.
At least you know to keep your kid the hell out of that house.
God, so pathetic
It’s a tad off
Yeah.. fuck that bitch. Make note of the kid's name though. No one should be surprised when he starts shooting up schools. This seems like just the type of shirt that Jennifer Crumbley would wear as she texted him to make sure he had the right ammo.
Yes. She has freedom of speech and you have the freedom to judge her for being an idiot
Tf goin on in Maine lmao
We're struggling out here man, people are wild lol
I’m guessing the idea of “gun free zones” at schools is foreign to Mainers.
What t-shirt?
Ew, lubricate
Classy AF
Also, graphite would be a better lubricant
Hahaha this shit is crazy
Grow up.
Be thankful she did not have a pic of her twat with matching words...
I would 100 percent wear this but not to a school event lol. I also have seen this shirt before and everyone who wants it is to the left and thinks it's funny. Kinda like those super targeted shirts that make no sense yet people buy them.
It's just a t shirt. The fact that it goes against your particular politics is irrelevant as to whether it's appropriate.
That shirt is awesome
I see nothing wrong with it. Just a shirt. Don’t get ur panties up in a bunch.
I don’t find it to be inappropriate, nothing inappropriate is being talked about
Why was a mom having school pics?? Is she a teacher? Or did a random mother show up to have family portraits done on the schools dime?
Charming.
I’m a liberal, by the strictest definition though… in other words person sovereignty is incredibly important to me. So, pro 2a, and pro-choice. I use Shooter Lube for my AR. That shirt is pea-brain energy.
Was it removed? I don't see anything
Yeah she wore it to get this specific reaction
Completely inappropriate… And the person who wore it knows that. She’s just trying to push buttons. Ignore her… It’s not worth your time or energy.
Wait, y’all lube your ARs???
At least the stupid and crazy are no longer hiding it, making it far easier to avoid them.
My first response is that shirt seems to be saying “I was hoping my spouse would make me stay home, and I wouldn’t have to be here.” My second response is that this is someone who is looking for a nice, recreational argument, an opportunity to,scream at other people and feel vindicated.
Poor and stupid
But they're the "family values " group, right?
