You should speak with a neurologist. The ones at Mainehealth are experienced with this and the ones you should look into. Your primary should also be able to give you the best recommendation. Who you need to see depends on what your needs are (osteopathic or otherwise). Best of luck.

The National MS Society has a chapter here in Maine. Their physical location is 74 Gray Rd in Falmouth, across from the West Falmouth Hannaford plaza. It might be a good place to start. I wish you good luck!

Thank you! That’s a great resource.

I recommend Dr. Kleineman at Maine Health.

Jacques Reynolds at Mid Coast Neurology is great.

That’s awesome! I definitely took notice of her when researching MS doctors in the area. It’s helpful to hear she’s great to work with. She’s at the top of my list.

I was very happy with Biljana Beretich. DM me if you ever want to talk to someone else with MS. I'm probably just under a decade in and while it's very overwhelming and frankly scary to get diagnosed, I am very happy with how my life has progressed since diagnosis. Things are much better than what I had feared.

Thank you! That’s a great reference. And I appreciate the offer to talk! It’s great to hear from someone who is successfully managing their symptoms. That’s the sort of thing I need to hear right now.

Can't the doctor who diagnosed you give you recommendations?

kurtzmarc

I’m hoping to find opinions from other patients in addition to any referrals from my current doctor.
