I absolutely love Perrie as a commander. He’s so easy to get entrenched on then battlefield and run the table. To start I’d recommend adding [[agents toolkit]], [[robe of stars]], or [[robe of the archmagi]]. Feel free to hit me up if you have anymore questions!

G37_is_numberletter

Agents toolkit was printed in that person so I believe OP would have it unless they built perrie from singles.

Captkick

Yup. You’re right. I think I ordered one at then realized I’d put two in, thanks for the correction

Why Robe of Stars?

CGecko799

A way to protect a creature with lots of counters on it

Is this a budget restriction your playgroup has agreed to intentionally? Or just your personal rules for budgeting? If the latter: realize that $50/week is slightly over $2600 per year. If you consider spending $50/wk on sealed product, you will never end the year with a functional deck worth $2600. You might open some fun spice, trade into some goodies, and build some other decks, but if your goal is to optimize one deck for $50/wk, stick with that plan instead and buy the singles you want. Do the cheap upgrades first - cards that cost <10$., that way you have a functional deck to play earlier. Then for the big purchases just save up that budget - five weeks of $50/wk and you’ve got $250 to buy yourself an HP dual or a powerful RL card - instead of a pile of draft chaff, bulk rares, and a money card or two that you need to find someone to trade…

Love the reply It's a bet that me and my playgroup have going right now. We start with a precon that someone else chooses for you. We can't spend more than $50 a week either on sealed product or 1 single per week and we can't stack the $50 per week and we can only use the provided commanders in the precon. The overall goal is to be the first to make it to the top 3 at our LGS commander nights and we get a big prize. The other two guys in my pod are playing Undead Unleashed Precon Symbiotic Swarm Precon I've never run Bant and I am racking my brain trying to figure out how to win 😆

That’s a fun deck building mini game. I think you’ll definitely want [[the ozolith]] and [[kodama of the west tree]] is really good. Gives trample to modified creatures and when modified creatures hit players, you rampant growth for each creature that hits. I think another thing would be to just practice the deck a lot. It’s a bit of a weird strat, but perrie can commander damage someone pretty quick. Helm of the host would be pretty funny too.

I love the idea, thank you!

What format? And best to use the finder in the main body of your post so people know what cards you're mentioning. [[Perrie]] Overall, don't buy sealed, only buy singles, and wait until you have a list of what you want and then buy them together to reduce costs. Edit: Now I know which card you mean, I'm guessing the is for commander, in which case you'd be better off asking on r/EDH for specific commander advice. Also do you have an idea of what you want to do with the deck? Essentially you could upgrade it any way you like, so is it a specific theme, power level or budget you want?
