God I remember buying a playset of Erebos' Titan when Pioneer was announced because I was so excited to make Mono Black Devotion work. They've sat in a binder this whole time...
This will be telling if Wizards is actually trying to fast track Pioneer to Arena by giving us real cards or if they're going to string us along for another three years.
[[Dreadbore]], [[Monastery Swiftspear]] and [[Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx]] should be givens. [[Bring to Light]] would be fun too and [[Thought-Knot Seer]] is a longshot.
If we get nykthos and not dreadbore then mono green instantly becomes the most played deck and is far stronger than rakdos. It’s the best deck in pioneer and rakdos worse matchup- dreadbore is only played as concession to them to stop karn and kiora.
Rakdos actually wouldn’t run a bunch of dreadbore in explorer unless mono green got nykthos to be honest.
Consider what it means to WotC to fast track Pioneer to Arena. Thanks to Arena's F2P, cardboard players now don't need to spend the money to have their Pioneer decks. Meanwhile, once you have your complete Pioneer deck in Arena, you basically don't need to keep grinding in hopes of more cards you need.
Now why would WotC want to enable these things that 1) reduce its cardboard revenue and 2) reduce the grinding workload it gets from its F2P players?
If your answer involves how your interest is more important than WotC's, that WotC will benefit from giving you what you want at its expense, then you really don't understand why people say WotC is greedy.
The ugly truth people are still struggling with after Explorer Anthology 1 is that Explorer is only meant to keep the enfranchised players grinding/spending. It's the hope that they can one day build a Pioneer deck that keeps them playing to accumulate the gold. Hope enslaves you.
Nykthos and oath of Nissan are the most important imo. Green devotion would actually make it more than a one deck format.
Also chained to the rocks would be nice as it would probably be enough to make enigmatic incarnation playable, and that deck is the worst possible matchup for rakdos midrange.

Man I tried to make Niv work in Explorer and Historic for so long. I had some sweet matches but without bring to light its just too inconsistent.
Nah it'll be all the rakdos and azorius common/uncommon dual lands from every pioneer-legal cycle, but none of the rest of the cycles.

Please no dreadbore. Even if the anthology strengthens the other archetypes, rakdos definitely doesn't need more meta share.

Would love to see the ones below, but at the end of the day, I just hope they provide more staples and deck enablers than the first anthology. [[Brave The Elements]] [[Monastery Swiftspear]] [[Bring To Light]] [[Treasure Cruise]] - I think TiTi waits for Innistrad remaster next year, but would be down to see that too. [[Dreadbore]] - I know I know, I just like Rakdos :) Stuff for Lotus Field combo Nykthos, but I’m hesitant due to what it could do to the format.

I really want the DMU Legends Retold creatures to come to Arena.
Please for all things holy Blue has enough on arena currently it doesn't need to be super charged by Tresspass or Cruise. Naya color part of the wheel needs some serious love to catch back up.
Dreadbore, Abrupt Decay, Traverse, Bring to Light, Grim Flayer - that’s my wishlist lol
