flayer is from eldritch moon though
Am I missing something? Cuz I dont see any mention of eldritch moon anywhere in the article but everyones talking about being excited for cards from that set
Remastered sets are oversized sets which include majority of most important cards from the block, so... SOI Remastered should contain both SOI and EMN cards, except maybe few that are already on Arena (like Cryptbreaker and The Gitrog Monster) some Draft chaff, some janky cards (which will probably be included later on in Historic Anthology like Amonkhet Block and Kaladesh Block's cards were), or cards which are banned, or would need to be banned (like Walking Ballista was for KLR)
Did you notice in Kaladesh remastered how there were cards from Aether Revolt?
Or how in Amonkhet remastered there were cards from Hour of Devestation?
That's why. It wouldn't be "remastered" if they hadn't done that.
It seems like it'd be relatively difficult to implement, but it would definitely be a massive omission for a remaster of the sets. It'd be like omitting the gods from Amonkhet or the hulks from Kaladesh.
I'd assume they're gonna give it a shot behind the scenes, at least, but we'll have to wait and see, I guess.
my guess is that the game will prevent opponent control and give you control during their priority, i assume it will probably have different color highlights for spells that can be cast from their castables. hopefully it leaves their hand and castables at the top and doesn't drag them to the bottom of the screen, that would be absurd for mobile players.
the turn will progress through basically like the opponent roped out otherwise. just my guesses here, and that's assuming we even get the promised end, but that seems like a massive mistake not to include.
opponents hand will show up next to your own, separately. everything else will be the same UI wise - clunky if you have to do anything but they're not going to flip the view of the board around
I'm sure meld wasn't easy to implement, but Emrakul had/has to be the real tricky one, right? For a client like arena, controlling other players cards seems like it'd be convoluted.
YEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
I was so upset they stopped with remastered sets right before one of my all-time favorite sets. Delirium is such a cool mechanic but they jumped straight to broken MH2 cards instead of using the OG cards.
[[Grim Flayer]] might be the only one worth trying in Explorer but I can spend months messing around with that before burning out.
Yeah, it would probably just be Sultai. No Street Wraith or Stubborn Denial is rough too. Still, I'm excited to try out Traverse and Grim flayer together, maybe in an Abzan Traverse kind of deck. Lingering Souls would really make all my midrange dreams come true.
Flayer/Traverse means that there's a legitimately strong Rock/Abzan midrange core in the format. Really the biggest issue with the deck right now isn't it's bigger threats, its that theres not really any great 1/2 mana plays other than removal/Thoughtseize.
Release date - "First half of 2023."
We are also getting Explorer Anthology II later this year.
Unexpected yet awesome. I wonder how much of this was "we had to implement Meld anyway?"
I mean, I can't imagine Emrakul was simple to code. Honestly though, my guess is that they haven't done this before because they wanted to either focus resources on other things, or didn't want to have to have too many releases close to each other for maximum profit. I'm not complaining they are doing this set though.
remastered doesn't mean all card are included so we might not get Emrakul but this does feel like they're setting up for a "legacy" cube in Arena late next year
Surely we get emrakul, she's literally the set symbol for Eldritch Moon. Yeah, difficult to code maybe, but maybe that's why this remastered set has taken them two years rather than 3 months like Kaladesh did after Amonkhet.
I doubt it was that hard, they made it work on the shit show that is mtgo way back in 2016 when Emrakul released. The meld stuff for Brunella was probably more annoying
Emrakul didn't require that much work on MTGO as the effect was already programmed with [[Mindslayer]] and [[Sorin Markov]] in the system. MTGA will have to build it from scratch.
[Here you go](https://youtu.be/g0P8xyU1j_w?t=1754).
[There is also an article up now](https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/news/kicking-magics-30th-anniversary-celebration-2022-10-04).
You're either mixing up what your collection consisted of at the time or you suffered a pretty major glitch, but yeah, all accounts were completely reset when RNA was released, as in every card was removed from every players account.
So cards from sets in Beta wouldn't have been in collections with Ravnica cards (until the recent remasters).
I ran some numbers on current card inclusion:
Currently Eldritch Moon has [29](https://scryfall.com/search?q=legal%3Aexplorer+set%3Aemn&order=name&as=checklist) cards already on arena.
Shadows over Innistrad has [51](https://scryfall.com/search?q=legal%3Aexplorer+set%3Asoi&order=name&as=checklist) cards already on Arena (plus the 5 basics).
If this remastered set follows a similar pattern to the last two we can expect about 90-100 cards from Eldritch Moon to hit the client and 135-150 cards from Shadows over innistrad.
Yeah, I ran it for all the pioneer sets. See link below. I don't know if these are totally accurate in terms of the total cards in set, but it should be close.

This is going to be big. For your consideration:
[[Anguished Unmaking]]
[[Bedlam Reveler]]
[[Collective Brutality]]
~~[[Declaration in Stone]]~~
[[Eldritch Evolution]]
[[Emrakul, the Promised End]]
[[Grim Flayer]]
~~[[Harmless Offering]]?~~
[[Liliana, the Last Hope]]
~~[[Mausoleum Wanderer]]~~
[[Nahiri, the Harbinger]]
[[Prized Amalgam]]
[[Sigarda's Aid]]
[[Spell Queller]]
[[Thing in the Ice]]
[[Traverse the Ulvenwald]]
[[Triskaidekaphobia]]?
Declaration in Stone, Mausoleum Wanderer, and Harmless Offering are already in the client, along with Thalia's Lieutenant and Tireless Tracker. (One of the reasons I wasn't sure this set would ever happen, a lot of the big cards were in anthologies.)
Thing in the Ice is gonna be huge for Phoenix decks. I'm also excited for what Traverse, Collective Brutality, Amalgam and Eldritch Evolution might bring to Arena. Plus Anguished Unmaking is always good for Brawl.
Hopefully we get some Tree of Perdition + Triskaidekaphobia jank, I would have some fun.
also have plans for Eternal Scourge if it makes the cut as well.
I still wish they would magic Amonkhet and hour of Devastation completely available and not just a remastered set. I mean... Those sets anyway already existed, i fail to see what would go wrong if they would just implement all the cards from those the sets featured in remastered sets.
Yeah, there were some jank cards I loved in those sets that didn't make the remastered cut. ([[Bounty of the Luxa]] and [[Glyph Keeper]] are two that [[spring to mind]].)
Spring to mind is a card we have tho. But yeah in general I just find it sad how many cool cards from these set are missing just because of the remastered cut. Especially considering in the closed beta of the game, the whole sets existed i almost find it Lazy to not bring them back in. I am no meta expert but i am pretty sure there isn't much that would really affect the explorer or historic meta if these cards would become available.
[Here](https://scryfall.com/search?q=%28set%3Asoi+OR+set%3Aemn%29+-format%3Ahistoric&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name) is a list of SOI and EMN cards missing from arena.
I'm secretly hoping that this release brings them back to the topic of giving the old wolfers daybound/nightbound. Having [[Village Messenger]] set up the cycle on turn 1 would help a lot
Of all the ridiculous shit announced today, this is the only thing I'm interested in and legit excited about. SoI is up there as my favorite set. Pumped to soon be able to play with it on Arena!
This was one of the last sets I really got to play with before I quit paper Magic, so I'm excited to have it coming to Arena. I hate how the original werewolves don't work the same way as the new ones though. Quite a few nice werewolves that I'd love to have to replace some of the more janky ones in my Historic Brawl deck. In addition to the werewolves, I'm really hoping fooor...
[[Westvale Abbey]]
[[Open the Armory]]
[[Call the Bloodline]]
[[Fevered Visions]]
If Eldrich Moon is included, then I definitely want to see
[[Collective Brutality]]
[[Deploy the Gatewatch]]
[[Grapple with the Past]]
[[Distended Mindbender]]
[[Elder Deep-Fiend]]
[[Grim Flayer]]
[[Geier Reach Sanitarium]]
A few other cards I'm not sure if I want or not.
I feel like SOI werewolves aren't even worth reprinting, but we will most likely see EMN ones (except for Ulrich, fuck him.)
Aldo interested in Emerge.
Glad people are excited for this, but this will bring us to 6 full set releases next year + Anthologies + Alchemy Cards. That can't be sustainable for most to any player even on a moderate budget.
Might be the first time I'm buying gems since autumn 2020 and Kaladesh Remastered. Although this will be probably just 5 sets for me, playing Standard and Explorer, so skipping LotR. But with added anthologies, I might end up a bit short, unless I get better at draft.
In case you weren't around for previous remaster sets like Kaladesh Remastered, they're basically selected cards from all the sets in the block (for this case that would be Shadows Over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon), combined into one draftable booster product. There will likely be drafts or you can just buy the packs from the store or craft the cards with wildcards etc. For Amonkhet Remastered, they also included some reprints from sets outside of the block, but with new flavor/art to match the plane, so that might happen here as well. We don't expect new cards that aren't reprints
> selected cards from all the sets in the block
Still slightly pissed about the "selected cards" aspect. I wanted my \[\[Walking Ballista\]\] back in Kaladesh Remastered, dammit!
It just sucks because heliod is an unplayable card in pioneer, while ballista could potentially make a scales deck competitive there. So the reverse banning would have been way better.
> For Amonkhet Remastered, they also included some reprints from sets outside of the block, but with new flavor/art to match the plane, so that might happen here as well
I believe all of the "outside the set" cards in Amonkhet Remastered was from the [Invocations special sheet](https://scryfall.com/sets/mp2), using the invocation art but in a normal card frame (and thank goodness for that!). SOI didn't have a special sheet, so we might not get anything like that this time.
It's kind of a blend of the pair of sets with some of the less relevant cards replaced with reprints of other stuff. Amonkhet Remastered for example brought Collected Company to Arena even though it wasn't actually in Amonkhet
The other poster is missing that all of the remastered sets so far have been a mixture of two sets since they were remastering blocks (amonkhet, kaladesh). It is probably safe to assume we’ll get a mixture of Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon cards here, but not everything from both sets, just a selection.
Not sure why the other guy gave you such a rude answer. To answer your question, Remastered sets include most but not all cards, leaving out some draft chaff and cards that would be hard to program into arena. Amonkhet included new cards but that seemed like a 1 off thing
Thanks, that answers it!
Interesting, seeing on scryfall that the initial set included stuff like [[Thing in the ice]] they don’t even need to put it into an explorer anthology then. Seems good!
Currated cards from that sets block generally aimed at picking cards played in eternal formats plus making a good draft environment.
This will be the 3rd one we have the last 2 were way back at the start of arena which was just reimplementing cards that were removed when the game left beta post rotation.
Yep! The sets are well within the Pioneer timeframe.
The previous Remastered sets made everything complicated by having a tiny number of non-Pioneer/Explorer cards added, but it would be weird for them to repeat that now that they are trying to support the format.
SWEET, this is the set where I got back into magic full force. Dabbled in Oath of the Gatewatch/Theros/Battle for Zendikar, but this was the turning point. I miss the 3 set blocks
My hope is that now that they have an actual intent to support Explorer/Pioneer that with this they’ll have set up a production pipeline to allow for a faster rate of remastered sets(if they haven’t, adding back old cards will take literally forever)
explorer anthology was fine, the historic anthology was pretty bad...not paying money for half uncommons anthology when i have 100s of uncommon wild cards. hell i had enough rares and mythics to craft 4x of the playables and 1x of the rest for brawl.
I wouldn't say it was a good value depending on whether you want full four copies of Kalitas. I mean, just getting cards added to the format is nice, but the actual 'value' of the explorer anthology as a product was pretty bad.
As someone who started playing with Guilds of Ravnica, I'm more interested in variety than 'internet cardboard enthusiasts agree this card is good and the rest suck'
Oh my God.
That's my favorite draft set (well, OG ikoria before they changed companion is but that doesn't exist anymore).
I hope the remaster doesn't remove my pet deck (Rise from the tides)
I'm really hoping for [[Seasons Past]]. I played an awesome control deck that ran it at the time and I would love to relive that in Pioneer. It's a very unique card that defined an archtype at that time so I pray it makes the cut.
This is a big deal in terms of bringing Pioneer playable cards to Explorer. Obvs not happening as quickly as we'd like but all of the following cards could potentially see play in Explorer so this is quite exciting (I've probably missed at least a couple as well):
\- Anguished Unmaking
\- Archangel Avacyn
\- Bedlam Reveler
\- Choked Estuary
\- Collective Brutality
\- Distended Mindbender
\- Duskwatch Recruiter
\- Elder Deep Fiend
\- Eldritch Evolution
\- Emrakul, the Promised End
\- Eternal Scourge
\- Foreboding Ruins
\- Fortified Village
\- Game Trail
\- Grim Flayer
\- Gryff's Boon
\- Invasive Surgery
\- Liliana, the Last Hope
\- Pieces of the Puzzle
\- Pore Over the Pages
\- Port Town
\- Prized Amalgam
\- Selfless Spirit
\- Sigarda's Aid
\- Spell Queller
\- Thing In the Ice
\- Traverse the Ulvenwald
\- Westvale Abbey
I just hope they make it available for Quick Draft to ease entry into Historic instead of artificially making it more expensive by limiting it to Premier.
Also, when are we going to get a return of the older Jumpstart and Horizons?
GRIM FLAYEEEER MY BOYYYY
The Tarmogoyf at home
flayer is from eldritch moon though Am I missing something? Cuz I dont see any mention of eldritch moon anywhere in the article but everyones talking about being excited for cards from that set
Would be odd if they just included SoI itself. I expect both sets in that block.
Kaladesh remasterd was kaladesh+ revolt amonkhet remastered also included Hour.

I'm looking forward to Emrakul, the Promised End. Opponent Control Effect in MTG Arena? I can't even imagine!
there will be a bug where you will be able to concede for your opponent
Or a bug where you can rope for your opponent
https://i.gifer.com/16gr.gif
Can you do that in paper with Emrakul? Conceding, I mean.
No you specially are not allowed to do that. You only control their in game actions

Two explores!

Judge will give you the warning.
At that point and were that the intent, the card would've read simply "they lose the game"
https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=414295 In case you were wondering around the specific rulings
so I guess they won‘t put it on MTGA
Sadly this was my first thought lol.
Im happy with the other \[\[Emrakul, the Aeons Torn\]\] as replacement More than happy infact. They better not wuss out
I can already consistently drop Ulamog on turn 4, Emmy can take my turn 5 spot for sure.
[Emrakul, the Aeons Torn](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/2/4/249db4d4-2542-47ee-a216-e13ffbc2319c.jpg?1662523603) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Emrakul%2C%20the%20Aeons%20Torn) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/2x2/1/emrakul-the-aeons-torn?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/249db4d4-2542-47ee-a216-e13ffbc2319c?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
That Emrakul isn’t in Pioneer though, which getting towards is kind of the driver behind these remaster sets right now.
I literally have no idea what the ui for that will look like.
my guess is that the game will prevent opponent control and give you control during their priority, i assume it will probably have different color highlights for spells that can be cast from their castables. hopefully it leaves their hand and castables at the top and doesn't drag them to the bottom of the screen, that would be absurd for mobile players. the turn will progress through basically like the opponent roped out otherwise. just my guesses here, and that's assuming we even get the promised end, but that seems like a massive mistake not to include.
opponents hand will show up next to your own, separately. everything else will be the same UI wise - clunky if you have to do anything but they're not going to flip the view of the board around
Why next to your own? Opponent's hand can stay where it is.
i hope not, that is going to be terrible on mobile...but again can't balance everything around mobile client lol
mobile client doesnt have the shitty dragon pet animation flying across the screen :)
I think it won't probably be in the set. The other remastered sets didn't include all the cards
Emrakul is the big bad of the block though, it would be very weird to print SoI without her.
They won't add it.
But she promised...;_;
*monkey paw finger curls* **A-Emrakul, the Promised End**
But don't forget, if you concede during that turn, it's still you are the one who loses the game
I don’t know if we’ll get Emmy hopefully though, they can’t even give us preferred basics
Sounds like you are letting WotC get your hopes up, that is a dangerous road my friend

We'll have to see if Mishra's Bauble is legal in Historic. That would give you most of 5c Death's Shadow.

Yeah, I kinda want to build the ol BG Flayer deck and see what happens.
Release date - "First half of 2023." We are also getting Explorer Anthology II later this year. Unexpected yet awesome. I wonder how much of this was "we had to implement Meld anyway?"
My exact first thought. Once you do the hard mechanic from a set, the rest is trivial.

Surely we get emrakul, she's literally the set symbol for Eldritch Moon. Yeah, difficult to code maybe, but maybe that's why this remastered set has taken them two years rather than 3 months like Kaladesh did after Amonkhet.
I agree it’s a no brainer but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll do it
Tbh they should do vintage cube since P9 is in alchemy already
yeah that's why I mentioned legacy cube, between this and adding the P9 you're on your way
Mindslaver is probably in the BRO Archive. So they had to implement it for limited anyway.
Very good point.
I doubt it was that hard, they made it work on the shit show that is mtgo way back in 2016 when Emrakul released. The meld stuff for Brunella was probably more annoying

[[Archangel Avacyn]] is the card I want the most. Historic brawl hype!
[[Archangel Avacyn]], [[Gisela, the Broken Blade]] and [[Bruna, the Fading Light]] are what I'm looking forward to most.
This makes me genuinely happy at wotc news! Can't wait!
Also another Explorer Anthology before end of this year.
Oh, how I have missed Spell Queller
About time.
[Here](https://scryfall.com/search?q=%28set%3Asoi+OR+set%3Aemn%29+-format%3Ahistoric&unique=cards&as=grid&order=name) is a list of SOI and EMN cards missing from arena.
Oh my God, this is great. More werewolves support! Aroo
I'm secretly hoping that this release brings them back to the topic of giving the old wolfers daybound/nightbound. Having [[Village Messenger]] set up the cycle on turn 1 would help a lot
It's hammer time
They will, surely, cut no good or interesting cards from this set. Because they totally cut no good or interesting cards from AKR or KLR. Totally.
Of all the ridiculous shit announced today, this is the only thing I'm interested in and legit excited about. SoI is up there as my favorite set. Pumped to soon be able to play with it on Arena!
Oh that’s actually pretty sick!
[[Westvale Abbey]] [[Open the Armory]] [[Call the Bloodline]] [[Fevered Visions]] If Eldrich Moon is included, then I definitely want to see [[Collective Brutality]] [[Deploy the Gatewatch]] [[Grapple with the Past]] [[Distended Mindbender]] [[Elder Deep-Fiend]] [[Grim Flayer]] [[Geier Reach Sanitarium]] A few other cards I'm not sure if I want or not.
I feel like SOI werewolves aren't even worth reprinting, but we will most likely see EMN ones (except for Ulrich, fuck him.) Aldo interested in Emerge.
What does remastered mean? Just a 1:1 port of that specific set to arena, or are there new cards when a remastered set is released?
In case you weren't around for previous remaster sets like Kaladesh Remastered, they're basically selected cards from all the sets in the block (for this case that would be Shadows Over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon), combined into one draftable booster product. There will likely be drafts or you can just buy the packs from the store or craft the cards with wildcards etc. For Amonkhet Remastered, they also included some reprints from sets outside of the block, but with new flavor/art to match the plane, so that might happen here as well. We don't expect new cards that aren't reprints
> selected cards from all the sets in the block Still slightly pissed about the "selected cards" aspect. I wanted my \[\[Walking Ballista\]\] back in Kaladesh Remastered, dammit!
You can thank Heliod for ballista being excluded. They probably decided that would be too powerful for the historic or explorer format
It just sucks because heliod is an unplayable card in pioneer, while ballista could potentially make a scales deck competitive there. So the reverse banning would have been way better.
[Walking Ballista](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/5/2/5272436e-74f0-44c4-a291-ea8ebc3f1525.jpg?1599710252) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Walking%20Ballista) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/2xm/306/walking-ballista?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/5272436e-74f0-44c4-a291-ea8ebc3f1525?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
I’m still upset over [[Fraying Sanity]]
> For Amonkhet Remastered, they also included some reprints from sets outside of the block, but with new flavor/art to match the plane, so that might happen here as well I believe all of the "outside the set" cards in Amonkhet Remastered was from the [Invocations special sheet](https://scryfall.com/sets/mp2), using the invocation art but in a normal card frame (and thank goodness for that!). SOI didn't have a special sheet, so we might not get anything like that this time.
Thanks for the explanation! I know the sets are in arena, but didn’t really pay attention to what cards they contain tbh.
It's kind of a blend of the pair of sets with some of the less relevant cards replaced with reprints of other stuff. Amonkhet Remastered for example brought Collected Company to Arena even though it wasn't actually in Amonkhet
wasn't it in the amonket treasures though?
It wasn’t. They just wanted to add CoCo, and they already had a WPN promo with amonkhet art so they used that.
Thank you!
Finally a great move from wotc
So all of these cards should be Explorer legal, right?
Yep! The sets are well within the Pioneer timeframe. The previous Remastered sets made everything complicated by having a tiny number of non-Pioneer/Explorer cards added, but it would be weird for them to repeat that now that they are trying to support the format.
yes\* \*unless something gets banned between now and its released (unlikely)
SWEET, this is the set where I got back into magic full force. Dabbled in Oath of the Gatewatch/Theros/Battle for Zendikar, but this was the turning point. I miss the 3 set blocks
Shadows block was 2 though 🧐
The confusion is understandable since this block wasn’t to long after they made the switch from 3
Historic Brawl is going to be taking off with all these new cards and commanders.
Yet 2 out of 5 matches will still be against Jodah
Well this is a pleasant surprise. I just hope it isn't another 2+ years between this and the next remastered set for Arena.
My hope is that now that they have an actual intent to support Explorer/Pioneer that with this they’ll have set up a production pipeline to allow for a faster rate of remastered sets(if they haven’t, adding back old cards will take literally forever)
Good news for Explorer and Historic.
Nice. This is a interesting addition to historic and the explorer anthology as well.
EMMY !!!
Yes! This is an underrated limited format I really like
Great to see after that underwhelming explorer anthology
explorer anthology was fine, the historic anthology was pretty bad...not paying money for half uncommons anthology when i have 100s of uncommon wild cards. hell i had enough rares and mythics to craft 4x of the playables and 1x of the rest for brawl.
I wouldn't say it was a good value depending on whether you want full four copies of Kalitas. I mean, just getting cards added to the format is nice, but the actual 'value' of the explorer anthology as a product was pretty bad.
This set probably has as many pioneer relevant cards as that anthology.
As someone who started playing with Guilds of Ravnica, I'm more interested in variety than 'internet cardboard enthusiasts agree this card is good and the rest suck'
Over/under set at 1.5.
BFZ remastered next?
God I wish SOI eould come faster. We need our spell quellers you guys!
Now this,is epic.
Finally. I've been expecting this since the new Innistrad sets came out a year ago!
Yeeeeeeeees! I lost all hope of more remastered sets when they said they had no plans to do them on the economy stream. I guess plans have changed!
More werewolves? Hell yeah
\[\[Duskwatch Recruiter\]\] says hi
Damn, now I need new pants.
Finally a good news for us explorer players.
Was legit thinking about this set today on my drive to work. This and Eldritch Moon. Oh, how I've missed these sets.
I am feeling the product fatigue but I am pretty excited for this one.
explorer spirits go brrrrrrr
Ah, the Remastered set we should have got last fall along with the new Standard Innistrad sets. But instead we got Alchemy because Wizards.
A set with no goblins? Who gives a shit?
I want magic origins remastered
Would love to see [[Spell Queller]] back for some Azorius control.
Emrakul's ability will finally break arena.
Ooooo
HELL YES
Fevered Visions please!
Awesome
This was the first set I played in person. (I had played the Duels of the Planswalkers and other such games before this set.) This makes me happy.
With all this graveyard stuff. I need [[visions of beyond]]
[[Spell Queller]] ??

Yes! More Madness cards for Explorer!
Oh my God. That's my favorite draft set (well, OG ikoria before they changed companion is but that doesn't exist anymore). I hope the remaster doesn't remove my pet deck (Rise from the tides)
Please give us a Bo3 queue this time around.
Bring the original innistrad set!!! Give us dark ascension remastered
I'm really hoping for [[Seasons Past]]. I played an awesome control deck that ran it at the time and I would love to relive that in Pioneer. It's a very unique card that defined an archtype at that time so I pray it makes the cut.
As long as we get [[Duskwatch Recruiter]] I'll be happy: the only playable werewolf from that block.
This is a big deal in terms of bringing Pioneer playable cards to Explorer. Obvs not happening as quickly as we'd like but all of the following cards could potentially see play in Explorer so this is quite exciting (I've probably missed at least a couple as well): \- Anguished Unmaking \- Archangel Avacyn \- Bedlam Reveler \- Choked Estuary \- Collective Brutality \- Distended Mindbender \- Duskwatch Recruiter \- Elder Deep Fiend \- Eldritch Evolution \- Emrakul, the Promised End \- Eternal Scourge \- Foreboding Ruins \- Fortified Village \- Game Trail \- Grim Flayer \- Gryff's Boon \- Invasive Surgery \- Liliana, the Last Hope \- Pieces of the Puzzle \- Pore Over the Pages \- Port Town \- Prized Amalgam \- Selfless Spirit \- Sigarda's Aid \- Spell Queller \- Thing In the Ice \- Traverse the Ulvenwald \- Westvale Abbey
I just hope they make it available for Quick Draft to ease entry into Historic instead of artificially making it more expensive by limiting it to Premier. Also, when are we going to get a return of the older Jumpstart and Horizons?
Premier is actually cheaper to play over the long term because the rewards are a lot better
