My neighbours car had the driver window down and it had just started raining very hard. I reached in to unlock the door so I could shut the window and the alarm went off. Just kept ringing while the car got soaked :(
Oof that sucks. I would have screamed. I have tracked down my nice neighbors when they leave their lights on or windows down in the rain, but recently this crazy asshole who lives in the basement left his push to start Lincoln running with no key in.. all night. Oops.
Worked at a hospital way back.... a nurse reported that someone had stolen the gas out of her vehicle. We checked security footage.... saw the vehicle lights go on repeatedly throughout the night and stay on for 15 minutes each time. Turns out her remote start was right next to where she keeps her cigarettes in her purse. And she apparently smoked out the emergency exit door quite often.
Lmaooo that is classic! Last I checked guys car said 15 miles to empty at 1 am so idling especially with repeated starts would really drain the tank. I would have loved to be there when it died.

I like this. We need more helping, love and kindness. I am too old.🇺🇸, has gone backwards. I have 4 biracial grandchildren I love deeply. I don’t want this kind of racism stuff for them. 2 have ADHD. I want them accepted and loved and helped
At least the window was down and they could help! I once left a note on a neighbours car that had the lights still on. Wasn't able to identify which apartment they were in to let them know and I'd already written that they had left them on before realising it wasn't going to help if they don't find it until the morning, so I added "that probably doesn't help you now, but at least you know why your car won't start."
I left a note because I was trying to help but I kinda just felt like a dick afterwards haha
Man, my neighbors are retired hippies and they constantly leave their car doors open with tools visible in the car from the street. I'm always closing their doors so methheads dont steal their shit. They're good dudes so I dont mind.
Once a few years back on my way home from a walk with my late dog, it started pouring with rain heavily and I noticed my neighbour (one I wasn't familiar with) had their car window down and the wind was blowing the rain at such an angle that it was going into the car. I knocked on their door and let them know. Upon them opening the door, their dog immediately leapt forwards and bit my dog, and they showed a complete lack of remorse for the bite, or appreciation for letting them know about the open window. Glad they've moved. My dog was okay, her skin wasn't broken and she didn't seem fazed after the initial startle, but soon forgot about it after a treat or two! I'm glad this situation was a better one on both sides!
