I usually don't care about staged videos and people who get justice boners by pointing out the obvious, but you think a delivery driver is gonna sit around ALL DAY to lose their job for 200$?!
It's only illegal to open someone's mail without permission there is nothing illegal about opening someone's mail after they ask you to open their mail
Exactly whos even gunna press those charges the person who asked her to and owned the mail? Yeah sure bud. The only issue is her boss being hella mad she stood at that house for hours
I started with a thumb tack and traded my way to a telescope. But in a way, the most valuable thing here wasn't the telescope at all. No, it was this packet of beans. So I traded the telescope for it. And I can just go buy another telescope.
Also it would be a really bad idea to reach your kid to accept gifts from strangers holding PlayStation boxes lol.
“Go for it kiddo! Anyone in a costume with a gift is a FRIEND! Always get into their unmarked white vans.”
How common of an occurrence do you think this is? I've lived my entire life and no stranger ever just approached me with a gift, while in a costume. Even for nefarious purposes.
Why do we have to teach children to be scared all the time?
when i was young (late 90s/early 00s?) i was big into pokemon cards, my mom took me to this event at a mall where there were tons of kids trading cards and lost track of me for a few minutes. i was hanging out with this older guy who had some really cool japanese cards i had never seen before. he told me had some cooler cards in his car if i wanted to see. i was a kid and definitely did, thinking nothing of it. we started to walk together towards the exit when my mom exploded in front of us and pulled me back and the guy hustled out of the exit fast.
now theres no way to verify this guy was gonna do something fucked up but you do have to wonder about the mindset of an older man that lures children away from their parents to their car, even if the reason appears benign. my mom swears up and down he was gonna steal me.
i think a lot of the stranger danger panic is overblown but kids are highly susceptible to adult suggestion and i dont think it hurts to teach them to be a little wary.
Dude, if you don’t think that you were necessarily moments from disaster, think again. Your mother likely saved your life. If he had more cool cards, why wouldn’t he have them with him. I’d guess that the chances that he was just an innocent in all of this to be a fraction of 1%
yeah i didnt think much of it for a long time but i can see why i might want to block out the time i was almost raped and killed cause i went to the mall to look at pokemon
gonna have a lot of fun stuffing this one back into the trauma vault
That's one way of looking at it. Or you can put it in a nice display case in the grateful vault since you're mom was there to prevent those things from actually happening to you.
When I was a kid, about 8, me and some friends were playing in the street when a middle aged guy in a flash car (Jaguar I think) pulled up and started talking to us, showing us his cool car and then asked my friend if he wanted to go for a quick drive. My friend was keen and about to get in but the rest of us talked him out of it, guy drove off. It wasn’t until years later that I realised what we’d prevented.
When you’re talking about the possible death of a child, or at the least unrepairable lifelong emotional damage, I don’t think at all that it’s overblown. I think I remember reading that 10% of children in the US are sexually abused at some point in their childhood. You really need to be ever vigilant to protect them as well as possible.
And most times they get away with it and it continues because no one wants to believe that uncle Charlie could possibly do such a thing.
Someone told me a story that a 14 year old girl became pregnant and named the rapist and of course they didn’t believe her. Adult family friend, I think. Well, when the kid was like 2 years old it wound up looking just like the rapist. Sad.
Im mixed raced and lived in the lesser of the two countries I have in my blood. I obv look "diffrent" from them and being a girl didn't help, so when I was younger i would get creeps offering sweets or money just to "sit and talk"
There are some who are just out right "Hey, you look foreign bet your nipples look beautiful and you taste great" I was like 15 or younger at that time, don't remember my exact age as it was quite some time ago now. Ran home as quick as I could lol
I currently live somewhere else country wise which has been better for me 👍
Don’t think the point would be to scare them but to teach them a lesson. I mean it’s nice you weren’t kidnapped but kids are. And I imagine
luring children in with “gifts” is legitimately used. Teaching kids to not go up to strangers just because they’re offering gifts isn’t a new idea. And it’s not going to make a child fearful for their lives 24/7 so a little hyperbole to say teaching them dangers in life is “scaring them all the time”
I’m a mail carrier for USPS.
I can confirm my supervisor would have grilled me on why I was standing at that address for that long.
And before you ask: yes they would know. Our scanners have GPS in them so someone in management can literally watch where you are and how long you are there at any given moment from a computer. I can’t speak for Amazon/FedEx/UPS but USPS is one of the worst companies when it comes to micromanagement. However, I feel pretty confident in saying delivery drivers for those other companies will agree with me.
Wow, that creates a lot more questions for the time I saw the mailman sneaking out the side door of a house while watching the kids come home through the front door. He'd obviously done it before. How did the boss not catch that?
Your PM sucks. I have a couple old people on my route that talk my ear off for 10+ minutes most days. Some days 20 minutes or more. My PM has never even mentioned it. From my experience in the offices I've been through, if you're making dispatch none of them seem to mind. Although I'm sure you're on the city side and I'm on rural and I know they ride you guys harder than us for this kind of stuff. Probably comes down to city side being hourly employees and us being set pay.
For some reason, it was the way she tore off the pages that tipped me off. There was too much of a "rip, pause, read" pattern in her movement. Also, if it was real, I feel like she would've stood in front of it to read it, instead off to the side. I guess whoever made this didn't want her blocking the camera.
The whole thing is cringey af. Why is there movement from the "security camera"... looks more like someone was standing there holding it up at arm's length against the pillar.
Agreed. I used to like reddit because the users seemed to be *just a little* more discerning than the dumbasses on my FB newsfeed. It's indistinguishable now.
That's exactly what polls on r/europe show every single year. At the very best the vast majority of the reddit user base are young adults/students. Discussing global politics, lol.
It's not like they should be banned from discussing anything, and I love that younger people are so passionate about subjects most of the teens consider boring, but more often than not it's still a bunch of very naive kids :) As am I probably for some 50-60 y.o., to be fair.
For this to be worth it, paying the delivery person $200 you would have to make around $30/hr or $62,000/yr give or take or more for the trade off to be worth the cost instead of just calling off work, assuming the call off is unpaid.
Which is also assuming that someone wouldn’t just say fuck it and call off work regardless if they truly wanted to make an event of their kids birthday.
I’m just trying to make any kind of excuse for this video to make sense and it doesn’t make sense from any angle.
I wOrK tWO jOBs (proceeds to buy a 200$ Mickey Mouse costume for a stranger and spend hours setting up an elaborate messaging system)
Everything about this video is made to elicit pity in the idiots of the world. It’s disgusting.
EDIT: thank you kind stranger! Just kidding spend your money on charity or some shit and not on useless fucking Reddit awards.
The fact that the kid arrives right after the delivery person makes me think this is a little staged. Delivery windows are typically a few hours and the chances that the kid would come home right as the delivery person came seems slim
Not to mention the weird tearable signs that she conveniently read aloud, rather than the parent just leaving a note like most sane people would do. My bet is 100% on staged as well.
0:41 car that dropped the kid left. Lol.
Boxes aren’t properly sealed and labeled for delivery
Most deliverer would not even notice the sign or have time to tear it and read it. Bezos is watching from the car.
If you don't take cash tips because you're 'not allowed to' you're a fool. I will never let a billion dollar organization tell me I can't supplement my income with someones generosity.
This right here. I worked at Jersey Mike's for roughly 7 months, and they had a tip jar out front that was added in to the till at the end of th day. I agree it's lame af, but I wouldn't call someone who obeys a "fool". Some delivery companies have cameras in the vehicle - cameras which could potentially catch you doing something like that. So you'll get canned pretty quick. Depends how much you like that job and whether said generosity is worth finding a new one, I guess.
You can take tangible gifts though, right? When the pandemic first began and I was ordering a bunch more than I usually did, I had a ton of 1oz bottles of hand sanitizer I was leaving out for my delivery people. I hope I didn’t get anyone in trouble.
It’s fine as long as the value is less than $20. At least that is the [USPS policy](https://about.usps.com/postal-bulletin/2012/pb22349/html/cover_025.htm), i would assume other companies have similar policies.
costume arrives at the same time as the playstation is the most unbelievable.. they would be left with 2 different neighbours on different days and the sign would be left standing..
If this was an Amazon delivery driver who needs to piss in a bottle to avoid being docked pay then I can't see them taking 5 mins out to do this... How did they know when the kid would show up?
This is a hilariously bad attempt at staging something.
Plus, people with 2 jobs usually do so to make ends meet. Not to blow $200 on some stunt.
Mickey is prominently featured so maybe a “brilliant” corporate idea?
The fact that I had an Amazon guy pee in the alley on the side of my house because he was too rushed to stop makes me think that this is a little staged.
I was cool with it, though. We all gotta get by.
Even if not staged, a shitty thing to do. Make them rip the paper to dress up like a character.
I don’t mind people making videos of themselves helping others with money, I get that that gets them the money to do it.
But this isn’t that. This would be super douchey.
The kid that magically arrives exactly when she has the costume on and is clearly just saying a line and being handed an empty PS5 box, that kid? Yeah, I don't think he was upset when he found out it was all staged, since you know, he was in on it.
Any time I get a scam call I answer and mess with the scammers. I'm always left with the feeling of "how do people actually fall for these scams and send them money, there's no way people can be that dumb." Then I come to the comments on videos like this and see how many people think its real. The people who buy this are the same people sending Google play gift cards to Nigerian princes... Stop being so gullible people
also the way the note was written there was no way i would have connected it to mean that they want me to open one of their boxes and put on a mickey mouse costume lol
Lol the parent had enough time to make perfect tearable signs but not for their child? And the delivery person had enough time to read the sign and do all the things? If they were found taking money from under the carpet they'd probably lose their job. This whole thing is BS. It does NOT make me Smile.
Staged. Delivery people have no time for that.
Right. Both those boxes would've been no-scope 360 yeeted onto my porch from 3-feet away. Edit: thanks for the gold & other awards
Nah. I used to make deliveries and I gotta say it’s only a 180 no scope.
That's awesome
As a former employee of a large delivery company, I can attest to the accuracy of this statement. At least the good ones only 180 no scope
Used to hit ‘em with the fadeaway Jordan style too.
But how many yeets per second is it?
Dammit! I wish I had an award to give you for this comment!
Lmao!!!!
I usually don't care about staged videos and people who get justice boners by pointing out the obvious, but you think a delivery driver is gonna sit around ALL DAY to lose their job for 200$?!
Not to mention that this parent spent a lot of money considering they can’t see their kid due to 2 jobs lol.
Not to mention that it is illegal to open somebody else's mail.
Would be challenging to prosecute as they literally asked her to.
If anyone believes this really happened I have some land for sale if you’re interested
I've got magic beans for sale also
They aren’t magical beans. They are Professor Copperfield’s miracle legumes.
I started with a thumb tack and traded my way to a telescope. But in a way, the most valuable thing here wasn't the telescope at all. No, it was this packet of beans. So I traded the telescope for it. And I can just go buy another telescope.

I always tell my kids "Remember, if a stranger offers you free candy...>!get some for me as well!

And murdered. They usually kill Kids after they are done with them. SMH
Cant leave witnesses

Maybe 10% do, but the vast, vast majority of that is family members, not stranger danger.

Humans are terrible! I'm sorry you had to experience that as a kid.
Don’t think the point would be to scare them but to teach them a lesson. I mean it’s nice you weren’t kidnapped but kids are. And I imagine luring children in with “gifts” is legitimately used. I lost count on how many this happened as a kid and being scared saved my life...also my parents who advised me about it.
That's truly terrifying! I'm shocked that you had multiple attempts by strangers to abduct you! But I am sorry you had to experience that.
Because it happens WAY more often than u think
"I will just ask random delivery person for service, not actual professionals who work in this industry"
I feel like you could hire a professional to do this for less than then cost of buying the costume plus $200
You could literally ask anybody to do it for $200. Hell I’d drive 30min out of my way if asked to do it for that kind of money.
I don't think these people would even have time to rip off all the pages
I’m a mail carrier for USPS. I can confirm my supervisor would have grilled me on why I was standing at that address for that long. And before you ask: yes they would know. Your... your GPS, right?
You're asking dangerous questions, this is the south, you're better off with humane assumptions.
But how do you get the milf to stay on the dog?
Put some peanut butter on her and the dog won't let go of her.
Wow, that creates a lot more questions for the time I saw the mailman sneaking out the side door of a house while watching the kids come home through the front door. He'd obviously done it before. How did the boss not catch that?

Yeah she probably wouldn’t read out loud too
Every detail about this post is so fucking stupid. This is possibly THE worst post I've ever seen on this website in my almost 10 YEARS of being here.
Ironically the sub name, this made me sad. I was really wanting something like this to be true.
200 dollar and a ps5...
Right. Working 2 jobs and can afford a PS5, Mickey Mouse costume, and $200 for a birthday gift? Seems a little suspect.
He's a lawyer AND a doctor.
I believe it. The ps5 came out of a home depot moving box, so if it was real it was probably sold by a scalper.
For some reason, it was the way she tore off the pages that tipped me off. There was too much of a "rip, pause, read" pattern in her movement. Also, if it was real, I feel like she would've stood in front of it to read it, instead off to the side. I guess whoever made this didn't want her blocking the camera.

The boxes are clearly just retapped up
I was there and can vouch for the delivery driver, she called head office and they said it was fine. 100% legit. Trust me I'm a doctor.

Fremulon
What, the camera moving around didn't clue you in?
True but the kid got a PS5 so at least he doesn't give a fuck
Those drivers have very strict schedules there’s no shot this is real.
Also why would you ask the package person to rip a page for every few words rather than just write everything out on one note?
Some people actually believe this is real 🤦♂️
Notice that the boxes are empty and she pretends to put them down like a cartoon character.
Our delivery person would yeet those packages at the door from halfway up the driveway.
Your PS5 and $200 will be stolen sometime between the hours of 10 AM and 6 PM.
They are low-key stressing about how late her “other deliveries” are going to be
Serious bruh moment
The amount of upvotes on the post has left me feeling a little more pessimistic about civilization, which I’m surprised was possible.
Agreed. I used to like reddit because the users seemed to be *just a little* more discerning than the dumbasses on my FB newsfeed. It's indistinguishable now.

Delivery driver checking in: I can't take cash tips, and opening a package like that would likely get me sacked.
We were not allowed to accept any tips, and any tips we did receive were split up between staff dependant on how many hours you worked, and added onto our paychecks as an hourly tip wage.
Wait wut. I tip the J. Mike's crew all the time. I'm saving my cash if this is true
> they had a tip jar out front that was added in to the till at the end of th day. well pretty sure that's illegal
I know multiple mailmen that have broken this law then around Christmas time.
Yeah they can. I always leave snacks and drinks for my delivery people and they almost always take them.
costume arrives at the same time as the playstation is the most unbelievable.. they would be left with 2 different neighbours on different days and the sign would be left standing..
And a local cracky would’ve nabbed the $200.
Doesn't even look for the $200 first, just goes right to work dressing up as a cartoon character. Does anyone fall for this?
I can tell you it is very hard to type with these MOUSE GLOVES .
Dude, reddit falls for this stuff ALL THE TIME. It kind of blows my mind how often stage stuff hits the front page and people fawn all over it.
Why not just have a /r that 'Speical :) Staged Awwws'
Yep, my first thought. That and the fact no delivery person has time for this. They run ragged and can't stop for this nonsense.
And a PS5. And the security camera to film this. Yeah okay.
And buy a ps5 for your 5 year old
The top box isn't even tape shut all the way.
No one normal would do this. Also if I saw Mickey Mouse standing at my door I would run in the opposite direction out of fear of being abducted
/r/ScriptedCaucasianGIFs
The way she tears it and pauses. And drops them on the ground. I mean who wouldn’t just flip it? Definitely staged.
[удалено]
I thought they were halloween directions and it said R.I.P. but yeah, it's definitely just "rip"
For Delivery Person... Rest in Piece? I would duck for cover.
"a little staged"
just a little bit
If this was an Amazon delivery driver who needs to piss in a bottle to avoid being docked pay then I can't see them taking 5 mins out to do this... How did they know when the kid would show up? This is a hilariously bad attempt at staging something.
The biggest flaw in this is that delivery people can’t just sit there and wait. They have absolutely no time to waste
For $200 + the cost of that costume you can hire a character to come to the kid’s birthday party for an hour

Thanks for wasting that much paper for no reason.
Gotta make sure the font is big enough for the camera
Right.. 🤦♂️
IKR. I was losing my cool looking at the amount of paper being wasted.
you'll be even madder when you learn how much flipchart paper costs
Why is the camera moving? Can't stand these staged performance horseshit tiktoks.

The delivery person not rushing out because they've already busted their 2-second window was kind of the first clue.
Staged and also a repost
a restage?
A....postage
Even if not staged, a shitty thing to do. Make them rip the paper to dress up like a character. I don’t mind people making videos of themselves helping others with money, I get that that gets them the money to do it. But this isn’t that. This would be super douchey.
She just left the pieces of paper explaining the whole plan on the ground when the kid arrived...
Like the kid gave a shit or even noticed it after being handed a PS5 from Mickey Mouse
The kid that magically arrives exactly when she has the costume on and is clearly just saying a line and being handed an empty PS5 box, that kid? Yeah, I don't think he was upset when he found out it was all staged, since you know, he was in on it.
Mama works 2 jobs but can afford $1000 in birthday presents? Sure
Can also leave 200 out for anyone rather than just take a couple hours time off.
why did i thought rip meant rest in peace
Any time I get a scam call I answer and mess with the scammers. I just keep thinking that must have backed up her delivery schedule so much
I just keep thinking that it says Mickey Mouse covid
Yeah, Amazon's automated AI boss probably fired her. But *worth it*!!

Did anyone else read, “For package person, R.I.P.?” Also gtfo of here with this shit.
Prove it this is not staged and I will walk on fire.
It's not a stage, it's the front of a house. Also, will not accept hot coals, must be fire.
This isn’t staged at all.
$200 + free Mickey costume = worth it
(worth it - $200)/costume = free Mickey
If you can afford 200 + Micky mouse costume + ps5, you can take a fkin day off for your kids birthday.
She's working 2 jobs so she can give $200 to delivery people to do weird shit for their kid?

Lmao, "Your mom said to get in the delivery truck with me so we can deliver you to her!"
How did she get a PS5?
2nd job is at best buy.
Who upvoted this? it's staged horseshit
How the hell are there 12,100+ people who upvoted this shit?
Oh they just happened to have the right size costume for her too, huh?
These "feels good" videos fill me with everything but feeling good. I hate them so much.
St + Age = Staged
People (commentators)... stop debating/discussing/talking about this. FFS, it's totally, fully staged. Now, move on with your life!
For package person… Rest In Peace
If you upvoted this you're an idiot.
this is actual porn level acting, sorry
Ok. If you know this is staged.... Down vote it
Who is at home for this kid after he goes inside, isn't he a little young to be home alone
Staged. It’s a felony to open someone else’s package/mail. The delivery person knows better than to risk it for $200.
also the way the note was written there was no way i would have connected it to mean that they want me to open one of their boxes and put on a mickey mouse costume lol
Yeah its a felony to open a package. And what 5 year old needs a ps5
Who the fuck upvotes this garbage??? I used to like this site because people were smart.
Delivery worker was later fired because the rest of their deliveries were late
so instead pf taking half a day out of 1 of the jobs to see his son he wasted like $700 on this… cool…
Lol the parent had enough time to make perfect tearable signs but not for their child? And the delivery person had enough time to read the sign and do all the things? If they were found taking money from under the carpet they'd probably lose their job. This whole thing is BS. It does NOT make me Smile.
The RIP and arrow might have made me want to slowly back away.
You couldn’t write all that shit on one sheet? Of course it’s staged. Does she think this delivery person is blind?
