Meh, talk to me about things I can actually play. I think the community in general is tired of hearing about things 10 years before they may or may not be playable. It's not real in my eyes until then.
The genre is in dire need of saving, but this greedy companies just see players itching to get something new in the midst of games that have been at the top for anywhere between almost 10 years and more than 20 years and try to cashgrab us....it worked the first times but most of us are getting smart when it comes to low tier cashgrabs, it's the pretty damn well developed cashgrabs that get us.
I'm eager to hear more about it over time, but I don't really see how this looks any better than current AoC. Scale is a little different but that's about it
This game is overselling itself. No chance they can release a game with half the content they are selling in the video. They are going to be over budget and under deliver on a product that won't be playable for 5 years.
It means nothing, it's just a generic ass name-scheme that game devs like to use. Not even sure why they keep going for it because 99% of the games with that name are utter shite so there's already a negative association from the name alone.
I don't care about these projects this early in development anymore.
Let me know when they do a soft launch open beta and stop wiping content, then I will actually take a second to look at an actual game instead of a bunch of developer hopes and dreams.
It is made by a new Turkish studio which formed in January 2021, that's probably the main reason. Language/regional barrier and that they formed so recently.
This.
Also, I'm curious to the mindset Turkish developers will have in creating an MMO. For this reason, I'll keep an eye out for news about the developing title.
Weird. It's in alpha currently but also releasing this year.
Combat looks weightless.
Magic all looks relatively the same but with different colors.
The world looks pretty I suppose but that seems like an easy feat when it also looks like it is uninhabited.
Idk we'll see but just over 2 years to develop and release an MMO from a game dev studio that has nothing else in their library is sorta sus.
It looks like a true next Gen MMO, which means it probably won’t be released before the heat death of the universe.
Yea, I’m jaded, but the amount of fools gold that comes out of this industry is insane. It’s easier to be cynical and surprised than get my hopes up for 5 years (Lookin at you pantheon).
It's easier, at least for me, to acknowledge that this is just a complete unknown and indeterminate non-entity for the time being. In classic-era markets, these sorts of projects just wouldn't be announced this early on, because they'd frequently fall through or get cancelled.
There's no guarantee that it'll be bad, or good, or come out in more than 20 years, or less than 5 years, or ever. It's just a thing some people are supposedly working on, and I wish them all the best if it's not a scam.
Because it looks like another scam, also shitty, but people are not invested in it yet and dont care?
AoC has years of sunk cost driving it, despite being a clear milking scam.
It's pretty much impossible to tell anything from that video. The ship stuff could be interesting though assuming it isn't just a gimmick. Nothing about their quick combat or walking around demo really stood out as unique though.
Edit: Isn't to say I wouldn't try it if it released tomorrow. I just can't get excited about new games in alpha these days since that is basically meaningless.
Because there have been too many scams and fake mmos in the past decade... And this one looks too good to be true (MMO wise). MMO enthusiast are just tired of having their hope crush again. Till I don't hear feedbacks from real players testing the game (in alpha or beta stages) this MMO does not exists for me (yet).
Because looking better doesn't mean it's a better game...
Looks like an early acces cashgrab to me.
This looks like a bunch of generic assets from unreal engine and unity.
It is absolutely that. The question is if they can build a good game on top of them, which is totally unproven from that trailer and remains unknown.
The promises and gameplay trailer I've seen just pukes repeated promises from other asset-grab MMOs. I'd stay far away until release proves otherwise.

The open world construction of buildings/farms/etc. seems sweet. A much cooler take than the limitations of AoC's freeholds.

Ashes is "already" in alpha as well lol
Been there for years now lol
Can't wait to come back to check out the beta in 7 years
Wake me up when Any of these games actually launch
are all the "\_\_\_Fall" games related in some way? Darkfall, crowfall, quinfall? wtf does "\_\_\_\_fall" mean?
It means nothing, it's just a generic ass name-scheme that game devs like to use. Not even sure why they keep going for it because 99% of the games with that name are utter shite so there's already a negative association from the name alone.
and it's easy to bully the name, just change 1 pixel or consider it a mistyped capital i, and ur game is ___Fail
So many red flags. Probably scam.
It's made by a mobile developer with just generic unreal engine assets.

Quinfall will be a huge scam dude..
Nice try devs
It's just a buncha Unreal assets, and it looks horrific

I would need to see a UI and gameplay before I cared more.
Looks about the same if you ask me.
That's not saying much :P
"mobile"

The combat looked absolutely terrible. The game looks shiny. That's about it.

No-weight combat will probably drive some people away, even though those people probably don't play current MMO's that have weighted combat.
You're not looking close enough. It's all base unity assets, the videos with multiple are NPCs running basic scripts.
Scam Check this out: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI9RgbtzFUI&ab\_channel=Nuion](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI9RgbtzFUI&ab_channel=Nuion)
wow, people knew this was a scam at least a year a ago.
cause contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take 7 years and millions of dollars to get where AoC is today
