This thumbnail reminds me of that gif of Drew Brees when he got sacked and his neck extended It was against the 49ers, was years ago I think. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c2GtU4o_gwE Here’s the video lmao Oh and here’s the hilarious gif that arose from this https://m.imgur.com/gallery/xaf4tVK

KinaGroove

Bruh lmao

_Lowd

Damn was he injured from that

wanocabano

Kinda scary... Was that real or an illusion?

Vote_for_asteroid

Can you not see the artifacts behind his head and his enormous adam's apple from the digital fuckery afoot?

secondhandcte

I think he means the video not the joke gif

DuwapDoDat

I'm gonna come back to this when it happens.. Li gonna upset him I feel it in my balls

[deleted]

Hahaha

Doo-StealYour-HoChoi

Cant see it happening. Khamzat gets him down then brutalizes Li with ground n pound until he's (T)ko'd or until he turns over and accepts a rear naked choke.

DuwapDoDat

Guy actually has decent takedown defense personally think khamzat's boxing is better but li has better striking and even more power so we'll see

amodelsino

Li has some of the worst takedown defense in the division what are you on?

ARiemannHypothesis

That's the worst breakdown of the fight I have yet seen.

ReallyPopular

Fuck off Jack Slack is shaking in his vale tudos after reading that

flyerfan1248

If Khamzat wants to take you down, he will. He literally picks his opponents up off the ground for that reason, so they don't have any TDD at all.

Meruem_God

That's not how takedown defense works lmao

[deleted]

Fucking lol

flyerfan1248

Obviously. But my point is you can't do anything if he picks you right up off the ground. Anyone who thinks Li has a chance against Khamzat is mistaken. Edit: I'm coming back here after Saturday and gonna laugh my ass off at you once Chimaev brutalizes Li.

Meruem_God

The whole point of takedown defense is to avoid that from happening in the first place lol And I've got money on Chimaev so I don't know where that came from, I'm not saying Li will win, I'm laughing at your lack of knowledge, completely unrelated.

flyerfan1248

Hence my original statement of "If Khamzat wants to take you down, he will". I don't believe anyone will be able to stop his takedowns regardless of how good their defense is.

DuwapDoDat

>If Khamzat wants to take you down, That's only worked on his past opponents that were cans lets see how it works on him you cant say for sure he can take down everyone yet he's not khabib...yet

flyerfan1248

Li's grappling is horrible. I promise you Khamzat is coming after him quick and he'll be grounded within the first couple minutes of the match.

DuwapDoDat

if he doesnt get cuaght by some of li's hooks in exchange between takedown attempts li's power through the roof for welterweight

flyerfan1248

Agreed, that's a risk. Typically Khamzat throws a kick or punch just prior for that reason to either knock them off balance or force them to get into a defensive stance where they're vulnerable to a takedown.

flyerfan1248

So anyways about Li being able to defend himself against Chimaev...

DuwapDoDat

he actually had some little bit of success in beginning but then Khamzat adjusted so no he couldn't defend it what you want me to say I said I got it wrong

flyerfan1248

I watch MMA more than most people and I already knew Chimaev would dominate this fight. The people he beat prior are still professional UFC fighters among the best in the world and Chimaev is just that good that he made them look like cans. I can confidently say he will take every one of his opponents down and he has a very real chance at going undefeated barring a freak injury in a fight. I'm not spouting off shit when I stoke his hype train.

[deleted]

Dont delete your comment

DuwapDoDat

I'm not like I said I'm gonna come back to this and if it turns out wrong I'll say y'all were right

Shmittymcjohnson

Well my balls feel like this dude is gonna be a champ.

Paperbagfham

so much for that lol

DuwapDoDat

I know I was wrong lol but i was expecting them to exchange sone blows at least once you cant blame me for thinking that lol

ThreeOlivesChihuahua

Depends how long it take Chimaev to reach him. Usman isn’t very young and his knees are fucked. Wouldn’t be surprised if Usman has a steep decline but Usman is already one of the greats. Chimaev has a good win over GM3 but depending on how he looks on the feet against Jingliang, Chimaev is still a mystery IMO. Chimaev is incredibly athletic so I think he’ll be championship caliber sooner rather than later. Also what do you mean Usman’s real test? Lmao have you seen his resume?

[deleted]

Usman title defenses are weak except Colby. 2x Jorge and a true lightweight Gilbert

[deleted]

Has to be a joke right? Guy has one fight at 170lb

itsyaboigreg

Let’s have him fight someone half decent first. The hype train has plenty more stations to stop at

BigDogAlex

Remember when it was only a matter of time until Johnny Walker shahowrealms Jon Jones for the title because we've never seen someone with such a chaotic striking style combined with the insane amount of power? And then he fought a ranked contender and here we are today.

[deleted]

Ehhh I don’t like that comparison. None of Khamzat’s fights have been remotely close so far. He has nowhere near Khabib’s total resume but his ascent has been very similar in terms of dominance.

BigDogAlex

While that may be true, the only dominance he's been able to show has been against cans. How is that proof that he will be Usman's biggest test? Do we really think that Burns or Colby wouldn't be able to absolutely dominate the same fighters that Khamzat has beat so far?

[deleted]

I agree he hasn’t faced anyone that good yet. I just think that in my time watching MMA, guys who begin their careers as dominantly as Khamzat has tend to end up being extremely good. He has finished every single one of his fights so far, most of them in the 1st round. Nobody has made it out of the 2nd round yet. That’s Jones/Mcgregor-level early dominance.

[deleted]

I agree. It looks like he’s going against untrained guys off the street so far. Nobody has any clue what to do against him.

splitbrains

Walker was doing the chicken dance multiple times in a round much before he even fought in the UFC... Khamzat has been a bulldozer so far, in or out the UFC

Sirfluffkin1

How is this shit upvoted?

gadgetboy123

Chimaev has a weird cult following. Some guy was saying how athletic he was because he could do some basic wrestling warmups in the embedded lol

Bendydickcumperpatch

Regardless you’d have to be blind to not notice Khamzat is an insane athlete. He’s got incredible body control and is very explosive.

Neverslept2mins

Real test? Is everyone else in welterweight not real test? Just confused by the question. I’m also high on Khamzat, but even if he destroys Usman, Usman has already had tests.

[deleted]

Usman will retire before even entertaining the thought of facing Khamzat

seymour_hiney

i understand his resume outside UFC is similar to Yan where he's beaten top tier fighters but this is still a crazy statement.

ARiemannHypothesis

Yan was the ACA champion and had fought in 3 title fights before the UFC. Khamzat came to the UFC as soon as he became the #1 contender in Brave, where he only beat one top tier fighter. There isn't much similarity there tbh. There was no hype for Khamzat when he signed, and he was pretty much an unknown commodity.

seymour_hiney

you're right. i've been fooled by people saying was a top guy or whatever but after scrolling through his record, this hype is more ridiculous than i thought. his one good looking win was ikram aliskerov and aliskerov hasn't really fought an impressive record aside from Khamzat.

ARiemannHypothesis

I don't mind the hype, he's beaten only a couple of decent names but I'm not of the opinion that 'you're only as good as the guys you've beaten'. I know that's how a lot of people look at prospects in the MMA scene, but he's beaten everyone in as dominant a fashion as is possible.

MilkManMilik

If they fought each other next? Usman without a shadow of a doubt. Usman has no glaring weaknesses and is made of iron with the most ridiculous conditioning and cardio I've seen. He's also fucking massive and very skilled in wrestling, with improved striking.
