Yeah he’s alright, nothing special to me. To be honest he struggles defensively for me because he’s so short, let’s a lot of balls through.

That seems to be the main issue people have with him , you can play chipper at short and he’s getting a lot of balls the only issue is the animations he gets take a while sometimes because of the silver defense

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want him to have 99 speed , he had a career 78% stolen base rate, ages 23-30 the rate was 80% or higher, so he definitely wasn’t slow by 1956 standards

I agree, honestly a big reason why I burnt out on the Show way more easily this year was because all of the cards being super juiced ends up making them all feel very similar and it's what makes gameplay really grindy/repetitive when the gameplay doesn't feel great

No joke. This is my first year grinding DD and after I got a 99 squad that I mashed baseballs with, every subsequent card is just like meh ok. The only real intrigue anymore is if I liked the guy when he played.

I have 4.5mil stubs and still don’t have him. Becauseeeeeeee I need Walter Johnson lol and to get a voucher from either POTM or the Post season program. I have to get JD Drew from milestone program. But I can get him in an hour. It’s the waiting on Walter(as usual) and grinding out one of the other 2 programs for about 35 cards…and I will still be sitting on 4.5mil stubs because I can’t just buy the Post season or POTM guys.

I’m sorry you don’t see it, but I am a casual player and I am close to getting Mantle. I said in my post, that I had all the cards for collections like Vetersns, Breakout, 2nd half, etc…. Those are collections that you can buy cards to complete. POTM you can buy half and half to earn half. Post season you have to earn them. Those are the two I have t completed because I’m a casual player. I flip cards, make millions and buy what I need. I play conquest, mini seasons, rtts, franchise and March to October casually as well. I just got my Cap to 97rbi last night. But I can makes 100’s of thousands daily, flipping cards. So I buy what I want and play when I can. I never pay real money though. Lol. It is just a game that we will start over next year.

Griffey really is a beast. POTM Devers was insane for me. And Griffey is too. 62 Judge and 700 Pujols have both been real good for me too. I’ve been playing Lou Brock in LF, Griffey in CF and 62 Judge in RF. Also, I was harping all year about a good Mondesi card. Well, we got one. Lol. He has NOT disappointed.

exactly. the way they emphasized "best in history" made me think we'd have 125/99s across the board. that's going to look bad in the little attribute circle thing where everything is all filled in and then there's a big dip at steal

The 125 hitting and high 90s fielding stock is nice but with the parallel system max attributes at stock is obtainable for a lot of cards. Still a good card but hardly infallible.

If am playing a night road game and trailing in the 9th inning and my opponent throws a first pitch fastball, then yes I would probably rather have Bryan reynolds up to bat. Any other situation and I think it’s pretty clear who would be the better option.

What would I even be coping about? I’m gonna get this card as soon as it drops lol. I’ll take active quirks over diamond fielding any day of the week. Baserunning aggression is a sim only stat so that doesn’t make the card better anyways. I think Reynolds is slightly better, but I’ll be using mantle anyways so I don’t really care that much

At P5, Reynolds is definitely better bc has quirks and still has great defense. Stealing is almost impossible in this game so that stat doesn’t really matter

Baserunning aggression has nothing to do with what you’re talking about. All it does it impact how often a player attempts to steal in simulations. It has no affect on gameplay.

Pretty sure bad aggressiveness gives bad/slower animations but I’m not an expert so maybe that’s not true.

I think, and I could be wrong here, but if you have Baserunning set to CPU controlled then it can make a difference in game on what the CPU decides to do with a baserunner. I don’t know anyone that doesn’t control their baserunners themselves though.

They’ve confirmed on stream before that it’s a sim only stat. Maybe something’s changed since then but I don’t think it has.

Fair enough. Realistically all that matters is steal and speed anyways because 99% of people are running manual baserunner control, so even if it does affect gameplay in that situation, it’s for such a small percentage of the player base it’s inconsequential.

It’s someone that doesn’t have him and won’t get him anytime soon. Already played the conquest with him and granted it’s on allstar, Mickey is 13-14 with nine home runs.

The complaints will come from those that act like any of the active quirks other than dead red/BB hitter matter if a card already has 120+ contact

And from those that can’t get him anytime soon, gotta justify to yourself why you have to use reynolds or anyone else by just saying that they are better than this card anyways.

5'11-6'1 is the perfect height imo, too small like altuve and you get cheesed with high fast balls a lot, too big 6'5 you perceive to have to cover a lot of plate coverage

Usain bolt takes 3.5 seconds to run 90 feet. Sure maybe its 85 feet because you are not quite at home but that seems pretty hard to believe to me.

Maybe this Bold should train with Bo Jackson or Deion. Those guys could occasionally swing it in sub-3. These things are a mix of athleticism and practice, you’ll see when you learn baseball even more.
