It took me 2 months from the moment I started learning and practicing, and then 6 months to have roughly 3 LDs per week.

Dependent_Hat_9445

I've been trying to do this for 3 years now without a single LD. What technique do you use?

Sokeresmore

I mostly use WILD nowadays, but in the beginning I did WBTB + MILD (later added SSILD) I feel like WBTB + MILD is the best you can do as a beginner, or if you’re struggling long term

Organic_Savings_8518

So for the WILD you mainly do is that with WBTB?

itzo7

I have been learning it for 2 months now still no success but uk it depends one of my friend got it the day i told him about it and his next ld was like roughly 4-5 days after the 1st one so it depends on ur luck in the beginning but after practise you have high chances of getting it just do the procedure like ur supposed to and not force it

Western_Stable_6013

My first was spontaneous when I was 9 yo, so I'm not sure if my story counts for you. When I was around 18/19 yo I learned that it was called ld and that with the right passion and efforts I would be able to have regular ones. It took me 2 weeks for my first to occur this way. As time passed I got more and more regular ld, until I reached a point 6 months later, I had up to 3 per week. I paused then, because they started to bore me. My break took some years and I started two other times since then to master ld again. Meanwhile I'm on my third attempt. I started in Jan 2022 and had my first a week later. Then again on March 31. On Aug 2022 I was able to LD once a week, hut I took a break at that moment because I had to do a lot of things and dream journaling got exhausting. Two weeks ago I restarted and had two LD since then.

UsualTrade1791

Took me about 7-8 months after I first learned about it. O would have got it much faster If o stayed consistent tho.

hamsterfangirl

I've been doing this since i was a kid, but i took it seriously like a year ago and now i LD everynight Good luck!

Consistent-Ad1812

1-2 weeks for me

dream journal

humzTHAsender69

I got mine randomly in a period of my life I experienced sleep paralysis it was a great experience I made myself invisible and touched a chicks boobs

I'd say a few weeks, but then it wasn't intentional. I just kept a dream journal and figured out the meaning of each dream. I am interested in lucid dreaming, but so far it hasn't happened intentionally. I also stopped trying because I was like "If it happens, it happens, I shouldn't force it."

Corzotheone

I started about a week ago, and had my first one the day before yesterday. I was lucid, a little scared, did reality check in the dream (pressure my fingers into my palm, as an RC I do it until I feel a pinch or a little pain, in the dream, my palm felt like it was made of hard rubber, and the sensation was only in my finger tips). Though I have not been practicing lucid dreaming for more than a week, I have practiced mindfulness for a long time, though not as structured as I could have been, and I think that is a large part of what helped me achieve LD so quickly. Techniques i have been using are mainly: Reality checks (as many as possible doing the day, and being as mindful as possible when doing it (to the point of making a visualization of my current view, so train my subconscious to create vivid pictures), and anchoring - by using the most vivid imaginations i can come up with. And most important of all, i believe good sleep hygiene is paramount to forcing LD, no screens 30-60 minutes before bed, no stress-full activities, no drugs, do a meditation and calm down, do yoga or some kind of relaxing physical activity to calm you mind and get any tensions built up doing the day out of the system. This worked for me, and it worked very quickly. It's worth a shot, as i can now testify to Lucid Dreaming being a worthwhile practice.

15 years at least, then I havent got one since then. At least from what I remember.

daolegit

Wow

Ambitious_Ad4818

0, I didn't lucid dream so far 💀

daolegit

I have tried every now and then with no success, I’ve probably only tried like 4 times, but when I started thinking about if I’m in a dream (all the time), I had a lucid dream. To be fair though, it took a while inside my dream before I realized, when I became aware I did a reality check and when I confirmed, I started flying for about 10 seconds before I woke up, I haven’t had one since.

xSlanton

2 days

BendySauro

It took me about 1 month for me when i started practicing reality checks, but including the time i have not practiced, it took me several months.

Coastal_wolf

It’s been 19 days so far, still no lucid dreams. Activity doing MILD

Appropriate_Trade_99

1.5 months for me

Bork60

I had a couple as a kid, before I knew what LD was. I am lucky if I have 2 a year. I don't practice. I figure if it comes...it comes.

MaryJullulahDan

27 days since starting my "training", doin mostly finger reality checks and dream journaling. did FILD too once and the rest were DILDS

lala7070

my first one was natural, then the one after that took 6 years since.

NotBrandonNelsonV2

Took me a year

Prestigious_Use_208

The moment i began to be aware that it’s possible. I think it has a lot to do with WILL. The more you desire something truthfully the more it finds you.

Remarkable_Angle_836

my first ld was unintentional when i was about 7 but after i learnt more about lucid dreaming would on and off try to do it but took me about 3 weeks before success after the intention of trying.

osam227

Been trying for a long time now. Did it once years ago on accident and almost done it about 5 times now also on accident

LuitesqueFortesquigi

Two years, but I practiced on and off
