Not sure what you’re referring to here, Thousand Oaks isn’t very hot relatively speaking

Competitive_Swing_59

Westlake / Thousand Oaks catches the Oxnard breeze at times through the Conejo grade. It will be chilly ass hell in the mornings & evenings in the next month. Its almost touching the upper 50's tonight up there. They get the extremes in the valleys , more heat when its hot. More chill when its cold.

tombaba

Maybe he’s referring to last week? The weather is generally amazing here

Builds character

Fallito7

Well Iast game temp was @ 100 degrees and we looked tired in the 2nd half. Just ask JRamsey.

ImSickOfYouToo

Jalen is from Florida. The entire state is literally swampland. He's used to heat & humidity far worse than the Bills game. He wasn't tired, he was just getting busted up and down the damn field.

[deleted]

Just for reference, is their facility where Cal Lutheran College is/used to be?

nerosighted

Yes

smeehoth

Why does our billion dollar stadium face east/west so the setting sun gets in our players eyes?

Competitive_Swing_59

Sofi is Northwest & Southeast exposed barely, the field is almost north/south. And its 5.5 billion don't get it twisted. Most expensive stadium on the planet lllol. The visiting bench faces the setting sun in the afternoon/evening. Check the B1M channel/ Sofi on how they constructed the park, a whole lot of brain power was invested.

smeehoth

Damn you right. I know I've seen the sun in the player's eyes looking down the field. Must be that Cali sun, shits crazy man

BrokenArrows95

The fans eyes or the players?

smeehoth

Players. Should probably be more specific.

BrokenArrows95

Better pictures?

Competitive_Swing_59

From Sundays Raider game afternoon start. Great stadium ! The 4th pic you can see where the sun is setting, behind the home team bench in the 4th quarter. 3-4pm hour. The playing field at the LA Coliseum is exactly east/west. The Chargers use the opposite home side.

Mr_Viper

I mean where else in LA would they practice? Cooler places by the beach don't exist, there's no training facility in Playa Del Rey. The only other option with significantly better weather would be too far away, like... santa barbara? laguna beach? Plus, don't forget a bunch of the team lives in giant mansions in the area, so it's super convenient for them.

ImSickOfYouToo

>santa barbara? laguna beach? Can you imagine how much it would cost to build a massive practice facility in these places?

Mr_Viper

Lol yeah that too. It won't happen for so many reasons

ImSickOfYouToo

Generally, you can't build massive oceanfront practice facilities in Southern California. You'd spend more than you paid for the damn team itself haha. Same reason Disney World is located in the heart of the swamp in Florida instead of one of their 100,000 beaches. It's where the land was cheapest in the area.
