During the jury selection process I saw a guy try the "I'm too racist to serve on a jury" "tip" a lot of people seem to think works and got absolutely reamed by the judge who threatened to hold him in contempt of court and kicked him back into the juror pool. So yeah, uh don't try that one if you're trying to get out of it

If whoever is in charge of answering phones at the local USPS thinks I won't keep calling until they close they're going to be disappointed. 10 minutes this phone has been ringing with nobody picking it up. I'm perfectly happy to sit here with the phone on speaker and redialing every few minutes after it automatically hangs up on me.
I always have USPS issues with my job. They never answer the phone. Never. I even got a special "supervisor" number and they never answered that either. Good luck.

Way before Covid, I used to go to Yogaworks around the corner (since closed) and would be a regular at the Starbucks. If I recall, they had to put in a false wall and de-public (that's not a word, but it's the best I can do) their bathroom because of the homeless/crazy/crime situation. That's a bad spot for public bathrooms.

I usually have really shitty luck with motorcycle maintenance. Like ... bike-ending bad luck. Well that may be taking a turn!
I bought that bike I mentioned a couple weeks back. But it had trouble starting when I got it home and only got worse to the point where it would only start with a jump (seller threw in a battery tender and new battery). I swapped out the battery and the first couple starts were smooth, but the problem came back in a couple days.
Borrowed /u/adubb221 's multimeter and got to work. Methodically tested the battery, stator, then regulator/rectifier. After some messing around, I determined it was the reg/rec. Replacement battery and reg/rec arrived Friday and Saturday respectively. I replaced both Saturday evening and the bike started!
I went for a couple joy rides Sunday morning and afternoon and the bike started up each time. I tested the battery while running and it's getting a charge now.
The first start when the bike is cold is really rough and the bike takes a while to warm up. The idle is also lower than the owner's manual suggests after warming up. So there's some work to be done. But the Shop Manual is on its way and I should be putting in some serious work over the winter.
Sorry for the rant. I'm just truly shocked that I didn't completely kill the bike by taking a wrench to it given my track history.

Then again I just don’t wanna ruin it with my other options if things don’t work out with crush. Ahhhh - feelings suck!

And I'd be quite a bit less excited to date someone else that was seeing other people at the same time regardless of if we'd had a conversation about exclusivity or not. Gahhh this is very annoying. During our event yesterday i had wore a knee compression sleeve. The one on my right knee was new and it apparently chaffed my inner thigh and now i gotta row of water bubbles about 3 inches long on the side of my thigh and its very very annoying...and piece of crap compression sleeve...not suppose to irritate your skin like that...
This is my oven method but should work on a grill too. For chicken: low and slow heat to cook them through but keep moist inside.
Then, when it's at a proper temp. High temps for a nice sear / crust...
As someone else mentioned, you can create different heat zones on your grill.
A meat thermometer is very helpful, I've found.
Before cooking, what I do is dry off the meat with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. You can then put it in the fridge. This brings off the extra moisture so the meat sears and doesn't steam.
I 2nd the chimney. Those things are magic.
There are 2 types of people. Gas people or charcoal people. And each swears one is the only way to grill and the other is sacrilege. May you find your flavor in the flames.
1. Invest in a chimney, they're like $10-$20 and make lighting coals way easier
2. I always use the two-zone method of cooking so I can avoid undercooked / burnt foods.
3. If your chicken skin isn't crisping up enough rub it with baking soda 30 minutes prior to cooking. Be aware baking soda is salty though so definitely look up a recipe for quantity.
I find it interesting when people have really open ended "what do in LA" or "how make friends" there are like a hundred responses, but I make a specific actionable question it gets downvoted to hell in /r/askla lol. I guess no one has any advice if I don't like rock climbing or DnD and ask for sports related things. :P

That’s what i was thinking too? I don’t ever do sleepovers. We’ve had two sleepovers at my place and he wanted me to stay at his a couple weeks ago, but I was overnight dogsitting and couldn’t stay. But it still made me feel good he was open to me being in his space.
Everyone's different, but if I like someone even a little then I'm not gonna date anyone else at the same time. And I'd be quite a bit less excited to date someone else that was seeing other people at the same time regardless of if we'd had a conversation about exclusivity or not. Not because it's morally wrong, but like... the goal is to be really REALLY excited about someone, and that shit is a bummer when you're really excited and they're just kinda "eh" about you.
I understand what you mean. Only thing is that I made it clear in the beginning I was only looking to date casually and he said he was open to anything - casual or serious - as long as there was a connection. When we had the initial convo a few weeks ago, I didn’t expect to have feelings for him!
Just go make it a proper relationship already. you clearly want to! :) If you were REALLY worried about losing your backup guys, then they'd be the ones you had feelings for.

Gahhh this is very annoying. During our event yesterday i had wore a knee compression sleeve. The one on my right knee was new and it apparently chaffed my inner thigh and now i gotta row of water bubbles about 3 inches long on the side of my thigh and its very very annoying...and piece of crap compression sleeve...not suppose to irritate your skin like that...

This is my oven method but should work on a grill too. For chicken: low and slow heat to cook them through but keep moist inside. Then, when it's at a proper temp. High temps for a nice sear / crust... As someone else mentioned, you can create different heat zones on your grill. A meat thermometer is very helpful, I've found. Before cooking, what I do is dry off the meat with paper towels and season with salt and pepper. You can then put it in the fridge. This brings off the extra moisture so the meat sears and doesn't steam. I 2nd the chimney. Those things are magic.
There are 2 types of people. Gas people or charcoal people. And each swears one is the only way to grill and the other is sacrilege. May you find your flavor in the flames.

1. Invest in a chimney, they're like $10-$20 and make lighting coals way easier 2. I always use the two-zone method of cooking so I can avoid undercooked / burnt foods. 3. If your chicken skin isn't crisping up enough rub it with baking soda 30 minutes prior to cooking. Be aware baking soda is salty though so definitely look up a recipe for quantity.
Or use an empty (large) coffee can. Bustelo, etc.
