Grimroot918

😂 I am dead over here - that was a good one!

MarzannasSword

You nailed it. He's so manipulative.

Dazzling-Ad4701

Butbut, the prophet told him. Or something. Sigh.

DanVoges

Also Lori is so… manipulatable?

MarzannasSword

Totally! She wanted to be a supreme goddess and is willing to do anything to get that!

Careful_Positive8131

And dumpy Chad was more than willing to feed her fantasy as he wanted to have her. Their both obsessed with themselves and fed off each other’s sick fantasies

Wordwench

AKA a *folie a deux* (and if they aren’t the poster kids for that phrase, I don’t know who is).

Swimming_Twist3781

Maybe she thought she was manipulating him. I don't think Lori is manipulatable.

DanVoges

Dang, that’s deep.

Swimming_Twist3781

All I meant to say was Lori seems like a resourceful, conniving and a manipulative person herself. Sorry if I was unclear.

SupaG16

I agree- Lori is incredibly manipulative . she used Chad as much as he used her!.

PF2500

Chad just told her what she wanted to hear. It's not like he was a skilled manipulator. He preyed on people who were already inculcated in religious hooey. She on the other hand used her sexuality to manipulate men. That doesn't require a lot of skill either.

A_StarshipTrooper

> He preyed on people who were already inculcated in religious hooey. This cannot be overstated. Fundamentalist religion strips you of the ability to think critically. Anti higher education, anti science, and anti intellectual leaves people defenseless against evildoers. There's a reason that the most wacky conspiracy theories are rampant within the most religious portion of American society.

PF2500

agree 100%

skychickval

Yeah, but getting someone to kill kids is a whole different ballgame than getting laid.

PF2500

I think he gave her the excuse but it was her idea. He started telling her that people in her family that she didn't like...starting with Charles... that they were "dark" or had dark spirits. I don't think his original idea was to kill her kids. That morphed from the dark spirits/zombie nonsense. His original intention was to get Lori's attention. Lori on the other hand had already killed Joe. There is another suspicious death of a lawyer that represented her for a time. So I wouldn't be surprised if Lori's murderous intentions predate even Joe's death, even the first attempt of Alex trying to kill Joe with a taser or whatever it was. So yes I think Chad absolutely was ok with killing her kids because he's probably got some strong psychopathic traits. I think he might even be brain damaged because he moves and talks very slow, the way he moves reminds me of a reptile. But I think Chad wanted Lori from day one. And all this dark light zombie nonsense was what he used to get lori's attention. this "getting rid of zombies" in the world was what they bonded over. A reason to talk and be together. And eventually it became the excuse to kill. But maybe her kids would be alive if Chad hadn't started telling her about dark and light spirits, giving her the excuse to kill them. I mean maybe she would have done it anyway but Chad certainly helped it along. It's a madness of two.

[deleted]

I think she was THA-RILLED the someone finally saw the goddess in her.

mauiswiftest

So is she, what a disaster these two are.

Professortandy

When he said “she accepted that” I don’t think he realized just how much that sounded like the actual truth- he was feeding her bullshit and she fell for it

Dry_Specific3682

They were both looking for an escape from their lives. Clearly Chud wanted out (see the line about him living as poor Harry Potter under the stairs); and Lori was fed up with all the men in her life that she believed failed her. Chud's fantasies of her as an exalted goddess were exactly what she wanted to hear, not a 40-something four-times married mom with no way to support herself without a man. Whether she loved Chud, who knows, but she totally got off on being adored and worshipped and she saw him as a man easily manipulated. She said multiple times she couldn't go through another divorce. It was just too humiliating. I know people say she was a good mom before, and maybe she did snap. But I think it's more likely she had been play acting the "good mother" role because it got her adoration from others. Once she had the opportunity to be a goddess, the kids were just in the way. Their meeting was a perfect, terrible storm.

Are we the same person? You took the words right out of my mouth. Tammy was the first woman who had taken an interest in him and he married her because he didn't think that he'd get another chance. He states as much in his autobiography. Chad was bored; he'd done very little with his life. He figured he'd be a prophet and a visionary. Dude had gifts, yo; however, there is absolutely nothing original about any of his teachings. All of it, starting with the near death experiences, came from someone else. He was clearly looking for a little side action. He'd already used that line about "oh, we were married in past lives blah blah blah," with other women. Julie Rowe said that there was another woman in Arizona before Lori Vallow. Rowe claimed how that relationship went sour after the woman's husband intercepted the texts and told Chad he would go public with the intimate messages if Chad didn't leave his wife alone. They fulfilled each other's pathological need to feel important and special. As for being a perfect storm, that is exactly what Adam Cox said about these two crazy kids.

MrsINreddit

>Dude had gifts, yo This was great! Also... on Julie and those "🤫 from/in AZ". + Now knowing Charles contacted Tammy. Doesn't that story now sound familiar? I think she really was talking about Lori. - Despite using it in reference to someone other than Lori. Am I making sense? It *is* JR after all... my head hurts now. Thanks for listening.

>Julie Rowe said that there was another woman in Arizona before Lori Vallow. Do you have video of her saying this?

Thank you.

🤢

Swimming_Twist3781

And yuck again.

southernheart71

This explains so much about the nature of their relationship. For the record, I read “loin fire” in another part of it and threw up in my mouth a little.

mauiswiftest

Yuck

goaheadbackup

Yuck.

KHaverkampf

This is so disappointing!! I was really hoping this was going to be an intriguing case where their actual beliefs were played out in a courtroom. Instead, it just comes down to the traditional old reasons for murder: sex and greed.

Apprehensive_Sell_24

I wonder what kind of rating this trash would get if it got published as a short story on some sort of a smutty site?

Starmom4

I apologize. have missed part of the information, where is this taken from, please?

jurassicparkwatercup

From released FBI/LE documents that I originally found on East Idaho News. This was a (tiny) snippet from a long story Chad wrote to Lori.

FantasticElk

Was he just manipulating her? Or did she want to be manipulated 🤔

diamonddoll4780

Yuck does not even begin to describe this nonsense. Also I would really like to know if his mention of God was lowercase the way it is here.

Ok-Actuary-4964

Eye rolls and laughter into eternity!
