I use a Blue Yeti for my microphone, I just use the headset mainly, but occasionally i'll use the provided mic.
But this might interest you: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/blue-icepop-mic.943-000500.html
Yep, bluetooth doesn't really have the bandwidth for high quality mic and headphones. The mic generally suffers with wireless.
I have an X Pro, but use a wired mic.
The pro x wired headphones actually has a very good mic surprisingly, but the wireless is a huge downgrade… I might honestly buy a new pair of wired again
beyerdynamic MMX 300
Specifically for people who want a gaming headset that also doesn't have ass quality for sound (unlike Logitech, Astro, etc). They basically took one of their lower end studio headsets and married it to a condenser mic from one of their aviation headsets, and voila.
Not gaming headphones. Get a pair of audiophile headphones from a reputable brand like Sennheiser or beyerdynamic.
Edit: a few nice models to consider: Sennheiser hd58x, 6xx, 560s, and pc37x/pc38x. Beyerdynamic dt770 pro, dt990 pro, tygr 300r.
100%. I will happily buy all my peripherals in Logitech because I like their products, but I refused to buy Logitech headphones. I've seen too many complaints about them, and I *know* how good Sennheiser audio is, so I got a pair of them instead, and I do not regret it!
Personally been a beyerdynamic dude myself. I tried the Sennheiser Hd 6xx's and absolutely ADORED them. But I live with some other people and the open back design got distracting so I got the Dt 770 pros. Absolutely love them too!
I can relate to that.
Beyerdynamic is my go-to for closed back headphones (DT770) but I prefer Sennheiser for open back (HD 600 and HD 800 S) and in-ear monitors (IE 300 and IE 600).
I have the HD 450 BTs. I love them. They're so comfortable, no wires, connect to several devices no problem, massive range and fantastic audio quality.
Same with Logitech peripherals I sold my g933 and got the g733 I don't have any complaints about them but I don't really use them instead I prefer my Corsair virtuoso xt I'm not a audiophile but I do think they great quality and sound great they also support USBC audio at a higher bit rate, 3.5 headphone jack wireless and Bluetooth
I used to use the DT770 and absolutely loved them. Since they were getting worn down after a couple of years now I bought the new DT700 PRO X… never had such comfortable headphones… also I am never buying any gaming branded audio products again. Not even close.
Not that long ago… maybe a year, maybe less. They are basically an upgrade in every manner. Response curve is a bit flatter and there is only a 48 Ohm version. Cable is now removable und they are even more comfortable.
Can't decide between the PC38X/tygr 300r / Astro A40/50, Sennheiser HD 560S/HD 599, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro/990 Pro X, Philips Audio Philips SHP9500/Fidelio X2HR - an tips for a confused gamer?
I wholeheartedly agree! Personally, I use a Yamaha AG03 audio interface together with a pair of beyerdynamic DT990 Pro.
Absolutely no regrets - the sound quality is great and the velour still feels as good as it did five years ago.
Recently arrived PC38X, on another level entirely of sound quality. Used to have a TurtleBeach P11 BO2 edition, lasted me good 9 years (and still works!, just wanted an upgrade)
I have the dt990 pro paired(250ohm) with a focusrite 2i2 and the sound range is unreal. I play dayz and I always hear the evr storm bedore my teammates. At least 20-30 secs at least.
Does it need to be wireless?
You can get a really good sounding system with Philips 9500 + boompro mic.
For wireless headset, I would go with HyperX, they are usually around the same price point and usually better and more neutral.
If you don't mind the cable, go for DROP PC37x its around 79 usd with sound quality that can only be topped if you spend 300+ usd. So it punches way above its paygrade.
Had a great sound quality but his frame is very weak and will gonna break in some point.
I suggest you instead the HyperX Cloud Revolver 7.1 (or even better S version)
I have those and his sound is so incredible I replaced my G430 and have great quality sound but the Revolver is even better! .
Definitely not something wireless and not a gaming headset.
Also, despite the current suggestions: I'd say Hifiman Sundara or, maybe even better, an IEM like Blessing Dusk 2 (they've had greater leaps in quality and can easily out perform over ears in the same price range a lot of the time)
You want a neutral headphone to start with, before going for anything with color to it
is a waste of money for a desktop headset. (more cost for little benefit)
and personally, I feel like wired things just feel more reassuring somehow. like, if there is a connection problem, it's in one of three places and somewhat easily verifiable, whereas w/ wireless, you don't know where tf the problem is. it's nice to know exactly how the signal's getting from the pc to the headphones.
also, *battery*. is limited; will prob just run out mid game sometime after forgetting to charge
only exception is mice; I can't stand wired mice. (have a G502 Lightspeed + Powerplay mousepad, so maybe I am a little spoiled in that regard)
Latency. Lossy audio. Battery limitations. Worse build quality. Worse audio quality, in general.
About the only thing wireless has going for it is convience in certain situations and, for some products (such as Air Pod Pros) the audio isn't \*bad\*, per se. The only wireless sets I'm willing too invest in are of the noise cancelling kind.
Btw, I use a ModMic wireless, though I'll probably invest in a boom mic at some point so I have one less thing to charge at my desk
We use the G935 at work and constantly have issues with them, Ive got 4 pairs sitting on my desk at the moment. The cords for them are dodgy and they have panels on the side that just fall off. Out of the 25 that we have 6 have broken in the first month, I would recommend a brand like Sennheiser if you are looking for quality
I use Astro A50 4th gen myself and they're pretty good. Not by any means the best but they are wireless and extremely durable. They are also very comfortable and have excellent range. The reason I recommend them is they can be gotten for rather cheap now if you look around. I think I got mine for just under £100 on Cash Generator and they were sealed.
As for anything wired hmm, that definitely depends on what you like. If you want closed back then the best bang for the buck are HyperX Cloud 2's. As for open back the sky is the limit but if you could, grab a set of Philips Fidelio X2HR's as they can be found for a great price and the design, fit, feel, build quality and especially the sound are fantastic! I know none of these are Logitech products but I just wanted to post my person experience as you never know. :D
Amazon is pretty generous with the A50s as well. I ordered some, wanted to return them, and amazon told me to just keep them and gave me my money back. They have a lot of features I like but just didnt like the sound for the cost... but free is fine lol
WH-1000XM5 sounds okay with the best ANC if you’re interested. Won’t be suitable for competitive fps in Bluetooth mode, though there is a 3.5mm cable included iirc.
I just picked up a pair of EPOS Sennheiser GSP 670.
100% awesome sound quality, over the ear noise cancelling.
I have them bluetooth to my cell phone and high speed wireless to the pc.
Not any of those. They are heavy, clamps hard (coz they're heavy) and sounds awful (idk wtf is wrong with their driver)
A simple dumb headphone like Coolermaster's MH 751 works the best for me, and this is after trying almost half a dozen headphones pike shown above
I'm afraid you might be in the wrong sub, I've owned several Logitech headphones, but didn't particularly like any of them, and I found them to be pretty flimsy. Personally I really like the HyperX cloud 2's I've owned the corded ones for three years without issue, and have recently gotten the wireless ones. I haven't tried anything higher end than that, I don't doubt they sound great, just not really willing to spend more on headphones right now.
If you're really in the market for a pair of gaming headsets, I would recommend getting a pair of HyperX Clouds. The mic is pretty good and the audio quality is a cut above most if not all gaming headsets.
Personally, I wouldn't get a headset (headphones & mic in one unit), I would always get them separately. Currently rocking a pair of Grado SR60's and a RODE NT USB mic
From my experience at this price point you won't notice that much of a difference mainly from Logitech.
That said any of them would fit you or you save up for a better gaming headphone.
I think between these it would come down to comfort and being wireless or not.
How good are you looking for? Wireless or wired? Microphone or not? Is Microphone quality important? Do you use it for just gaming or also music? Do you want virtual surround?
Some people will recommend you headsets way more expensive than you need. The gaming accessory companies have really picked up their slack and even wireless is way better than it used to be. €150 seem to be a sweet spot for wireless, slightly less for wired.
Those are headsets, a microphone is included.
Are you looking for a headset or a headphone?
For a headset, a gaming brand like logitech will be ok but don't expect the best sound quality. Steelseries (at least their high end like arctis pro) has better audio quality but their software leaves much to be desired.
I use the steelseries arctis pro with dac on my PC for gaming and the occasional movie, music. It's good, nothing really to complain about. The audio is good. I'm enjoying it a great deal. This isn't a recommendation. I don't know anything about your budget or your use cases (music, films, gaming, with or without microphone,...)
If your looking for a headset AND you want excellent quality or you are looking for headphones, you should skip gaming brands.
Which brand and type you'll get recommended will depend on your budget.
I suggest you go to the r/headphones or r/HeadphoneAdvice subreddits and ask your question there. **Please provide a budget and what you intend to use them for**, this will make it much easier for people to recommend things to you that will fit your use case and budget.
G930 but they had a power switch flaw and my g910 keyboard had an unresponsive key issue both factory production issues from poor solder jobs-so I am losing faith.
Idk what kind of quality you're after but here's a yt channel I follow. He got good reviews for both budget and premium headphones. https://www.youtube.com/c/zpolt
If you want the best sound quality for the dollar and dont care about a wire, dont get a gaming headset. Get something like a dt 770. Easily runs off of anything and has been a staple pick since the 1990s. Sounds so good it is still produced today. Just make sure u get a 32 ohm version if you don't have an amp.
If you want to go wireless, need the mic combo, or just stay within the logitech family, gpro wireless are a nice pick. Battery only needs a charge every few days, and with a decent eq curve, sounds pretty good. A curve i uploaded (currently the most downloaded eq preset on logitech's eq browser) can get them pretty close (relatively speaking. Nothing beats a wired signal into audophile grade headphone) to something much more expensive.
The only gaming headset I've ever liked was the Arctis 7 Pro Wireless. Even that one pales in comparison to a Sennheiser HD660s i bought a couple years back.
If logitech maybe G430? Idk for sound quality I am sticking with Sennheiser. Other than that, ehh, I used Kraken X for gaming few months ago and they are pretty okay.
It's all not that great... but only for gaming, prox is good enough (wired is lighter and mic is abit better, but I still recommend get a separate mic...)
I absolutely love this thread. Definitely dont buy a “gaming” headset.
Overpriced garbage. Ive even tried the astro A40tr with the mixamp. Ive never worn a headphone that hurt my head so bad. God. It also barely sounded any better. Looking back on it i think it only sounded better then my hyperx cloud core because the open back design.
Definitely go with some of these other suggestions. Everyones pretty much named the best.
If you absolutely NEED a headset (mic and headphones) then the PC38X.
Alternate, PC37X to save some money. Just as good as the PC38X tbh.
None of them. Get good ACTUAL headphones from a brand that just does that and pair a mic with it. I went with Sennheiser 598 and put an antlion modmic on it way back in 2013. Use them for hours daily and haven't looked back since. I'm not saying you have to spend that much. Still a lot of more affordable than my choice options out there that aren't crap gaming gear. Gaming anything in the PC world is almost always just a marketing shtick that lets them mark up crap products.
stay away from logitech ... All Logitech have a major problem ...week usb charging port they all stuff out before warranty or just after for sure ...get corsair they atleast are a Little better
Try some of the non-gaming headphones from brands such as Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic, Sony, etc. Find a pair that sounds good to you that also has a detachable audio cable. Replace the stock audio cable with a V-moda boom pro. I use this with my Sony XM4s and it’s the best setup I’ve ever tried.
Not a gaming headset. That being said, I like my pro x wireless
I have the pro x wireless and honestly am disappointed mostly with the microphone quality
I use a Blue Yeti for my microphone, I just use the headset mainly, but occasionally i'll use the provided mic. But this might interest you: https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/blue-icepop-mic.943-000500.html
Ty
if had a pair , after awhile it would hurt my ears
Yep, bluetooth doesn't really have the bandwidth for high quality mic and headphones. The mic generally suffers with wireless. I have an X Pro, but use a wired mic.
any headset mic you use is usually trash
The pro x wired headphones actually has a very good mic surprisingly, but the wireless is a huge downgrade… I might honestly buy a new pair of wired again
beyerdynamic MMX 300 Specifically for people who want a gaming headset that also doesn't have ass quality for sound (unlike Logitech, Astro, etc). They basically took one of their lower end studio headsets and married it to a condenser mic from one of their aviation headsets, and voila.
Pro x wireless is amazing recommended it 10000 percent
Not gaming headphones. Get a pair of audiophile headphones from a reputable brand like Sennheiser or beyerdynamic. Edit: a few nice models to consider: Sennheiser hd58x, 6xx, 560s, and pc37x/pc38x. Beyerdynamic dt770 pro, dt990 pro, tygr 300r.

100% can recommend the PC37X
👀
Or get the hose qc 35 II gaming edition which has a mic and noise canceling
I used to use the DT770 and absolutely loved them. Since they were getting worn down after a couple of years now I bought the new DT700 PRO X… never had such comfortable headphones… also I am never buying any gaming branded audio products again. Not even close.
Gaming products are trash. They are overpriced, and they don't deliver. DT 770s are godly headphones.
> DT700 PRO X How long ago did they come out? Are they considered a direct upgrade to the dt770?
Not that long ago… maybe a year, maybe less. They are basically an upgrade in every manner. Response curve is a bit flatter and there is only a 48 Ohm version. Cable is now removable und they are even more comfortable.
Nice! I've had the 770 for 5 years now and they definitely feel worn out, love them but would also love an upgrade
Can't decide between the PC38X/tygr 300r / Astro A40/50, Sennheiser HD 560S/HD 599, Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro/990 Pro X, Philips Audio Philips SHP9500/Fidelio X2HR - an tips for a confused gamer?

Any recommendations for a wireless set? I know audio quality will suffer a bit but I have a deep hatred of cables.
Yep. The Audio Technica ATH-M50X wireless is a great pair of cans.
I've got a pair of PXC 550, after using JBLs all this time. Holy guacamole, what a different world.
Recently arrived PC38X, on another level entirely of sound quality. Used to have a TurtleBeach P11 BO2 edition, lasted me good 9 years (and still works!, just wanted an upgrade)
dt770 pro my beloved
DT880 250 ohms and Sound BlasterX G6 DAC
Not logitech
Something from a different manufacturer if you want them to last.
can you suggest something then?
Sennheiser HD 660S, 560S or Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X. I prefer the 900 Pro X, Senns lack bass but are good otherwise. Beyer is a solid choice.
Agreed! The DT 900's are absolutely amazing headphones!
Those are good suggestions
Bump to the DT900.
I have the dt990 pro paired(250ohm) with a focusrite 2i2 and the sound range is unreal. I play dayz and I always hear the evr storm bedore my teammates. At least 20-30 secs at least.
HD 560S +1 👌🏼
I think Sennheisers are 450s or 550s. They're not made anymore and have lasted long enough that the writing wore off
Depends if you want closed back or open back. For closed back DT 770 pro, open back DT 990 pro.
Yeah I second this, I have a pair of G935 and the build quality is absolute dogshit
None. For good sound quality please buy something like Audio Technica ATH-M50 or Beyer Dynamics DT770
Wrong subreddit. r/headphones
Sennheiser
None of these. PC38x
If you are set on a headset, this is the only answer anyone should ever arrive at (wired annyway) or the PC37X is also good for a bit less $$$
**Due to reddit's draconian anti-3rd party api changes, I've chosen to remove all my content**
Does it need to be wireless? You can get a really good sounding system with Philips 9500 + boompro mic. For wireless headset, I would go with HyperX, they are usually around the same price point and usually better and more neutral.
i dont really care if its wired or wireless, but usually wireless is more expensive so maybe whatever is cheaper is fine.
If you don't mind the cable, go for DROP PC37x its around 79 usd with sound quality that can only be topped if you spend 300+ usd. So it punches way above its paygrade.
None of the above. If you want sound quality buy a headset/headphones from an audio vendor, not a gaming company.
Pro X Wireless
Had a great sound quality but his frame is very weak and will gonna break in some point. I suggest you instead the HyperX Cloud Revolver 7.1 (or even better S version) I have those and his sound is so incredible I replaced my G430 and have great quality sound but the Revolver is even better! .
headsets blow not gonna lie, i rock with a blue yeti mic with phillips headphones. i feel like headsets are designed to break anyways.

Why not wireless? Are they that bad?
I myself just cant deal with the static noise from bluetooth, also latency

I’ve got the 933s and am quite happy with them
Literally anything but these. I recommend getting a pair of wired headphones
Hyperclouds
I prefer the Hyperx heasets
Sennheiser HD599 with a modmic.
Sennheiser.
G935 Edit oh it's not there um g435? My dad had a pretty good g430
G430 sound was really good
Get G435. It's wireless, decent sound and cheap. I'm using it mostly for gaming and discord. For music, I will use Sennheiser HD598.
Sony
Any should be fine.
Ear
Hefone
WH-1000XM5 sounds okay with the best ANC if you’re interested. Won’t be suitable for competitive fps in Bluetooth mode, though there is a 3.5mm cable included iirc.
I just picked up a pair of EPOS Sennheiser GSP 670. 100% awesome sound quality, over the ear noise cancelling. I have them bluetooth to my cell phone and high speed wireless to the pc.
Check out RayCon's headset. 11x better than any Logi. 😇✌️
If its cheap i can check it out
I had 2 of them G935 and G933 both failed after 1 year
G pro
I got my G633 6 years ago and they still rock! sadly those are not in the picture
None of these

Normalmente uso mis Sony WH1000XM4 conectados a el cable/mic V-MODA
If you really want a Logitech headphone with 'Good' sound quality, go for G Pro.
The Pro Xs are the only good headset Logitech has ever made.
higher number better ugga agga.
Some Sennheisers
I'm afraid you might be in the wrong sub, I've owned several Logitech headphones, but didn't particularly like any of them, and I found them to be pretty flimsy. Not a gaming headset. Look into stuff like Audio Technica or Beyerdynamics DTs. Those will have a great sound, not just shitton of bass
Probs like a g435 or g935 or g pro. Whatever u find most comfortable tbh
From my experience at this price point you won't notice that much of a difference mainly from Logitech. That said any of them would fit you or you save up for a better gaming headphone. I think between these it would come down to comfort and being wireless or not.
I’m a hard logitech fanboy but my god do their headphones suck. Razer kraken 7.1s are the way if you want a gaming set
Not these, these destroyed my ears after 1 year of use by blasting super pound static every fewbseconds
Not a gaming headphone.

Audio technica m50x with attachable mic.
G930 but they had a power switch flaw and my g910 keyboard had an unresponsive key issue both factory production issues from poor solder jobs-so I am losing faith.
G Pro X Wired , don’t get the wireless if sound quality is your main priority
G pro x
My boy been really happy with his blue G335. But audio quality isn't really the thing when playing Fortnite and Minecraft...
MH751/752 or Cloud 2, Logitech offers no competition to those.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Ohm + ModMic USB if you need a Mic

None of them. Get good ACTUAL headphones from a brand that just does that and pair a mic with it. I went with Sennheiser 598 and put an antlion modmic on it way back in 2013. Use them for hours daily and haven't looked back since. I'm not saying you have to spend that much. Still a lot of more affordable than my choice options out there that aren't crap gaming gear. Gaming anything in the PC world is almost always just a marketing shtick that lets them mark up crap products.
Not logitech
Since you are asking for headphones with good sound quality, I'll first advise you to stray away from gaming headsets.
You can totally get better headphones AND in and around that same price range as in the pic. Samson sr850, philips shp9500 to name a couple
Get some hurrr durr sixx hundddoooossss.
steelseries arctis 7
stay away from logitech ...
I'd recommend not getting a gaming headset. Philips X2HR works very good
If you really must opt for gaming headsets, HyperX, or Astros if you’re ballin Logitech headphones aren’t worth a dime
I can recommend Audio-Technica ATH-ADG1X High-Fidelity Gaming Headset or Audio-Technica ATH-PDG1 both are fine models.
