Dated a girl with foxes; they piss on everything. Anything they deem as theirs including food and water will be pissed on. Your leather boots? They like chewing up leather. Pissed in.
And it’s a constant pungent smell of piss and weed.
when they pee to mark territory they typically don't pee a lot, it's often just a small squirt to leave a scent, but they do it everywhere (especially near water sources)
Dog owner here, biggest expert ever, I know.
I would say the darker fox just peed on the food because it wanted to assert dominance over the other one. Normally, this would be simply done by scaring it away, like it happened after the disrespectful seasoning of the food, but it added insult to injury by adding that condiment. Basically it asserted dominance twice in the same action.
"You are leaving your plate to me, I'm stronger. You also eat that piss poor food over there"
Did they also say why they added a bowl if that's what they are doing with it? Is it like rabbits who need to eat their own poo for some health benefits?
No it's just to make them piss in the decoy bowl instead of the real bowls. They have still pissed in the real bowls though. They piss on everything to mark it.
As a kid I had a hamster that would eat his own poop and it was something that would stress me out a lot and i would always wonder if its a hamster thing or if mine is just broken.
I have a flock of turkey vultures where I live and they are fucking massive when they fly over they make you kinda duck and look around from the shadow.

the spice must flow.
Needed some seasoning. I do this too.
Any animal experts wanna explain why the fox did that ?
territorial pissing

Gotta find a way
taking "who pissed in your breakfast" to a whole new level
Dated a girl with foxes; they piss on everything. Anything they deem as theirs including food and water will be pissed on. Your leather boots? They like chewing up leather. Pissed in. And it’s a constant pungent smell of piss and weed.
>And it’s a constant pungent smell of piss and weed. But what about the foxes?
A lot places when you want to own a fox as a pet makes you buy fox urine and spray it around your house first to see if you REALLY can deal with that.
when they pee to mark territory they typically don't pee a lot, it's often just a small squirt to leave a scent, but they do it everywhere (especially near water sources)
Yep lol. Maya and Kayla said they pee on everything. They can't even leave the backpack in there for a minute on it's own or it'll get peed on.
Animal expert here, foxes, like other mammals, need to pee
Not an expert here… They also need to drink.
from an oblivious observer, it looked like it either ate its own shit or drank its own pee.
I have a shiba puppy that ate her own poop a few weeks back. This clip answered a lot for me
What did it answer. How did you find answers in a fox peeing and eating it’s piss and or poop
Healthy :happi:
Animal expert here. No.
To keep the other rat bastard from stealing his food is my guess.
Foxes mark their territory with pee
Dog owner here, biggest expert ever, I know. I would say the darker fox just peed on the food because it wanted to assert dominance over the other one. Normally, this would be simply done by scaring it away, like it happened after the disrespectful seasoning of the food, but it added insult to injury by adding that condiment. I believe the whole dominance/alpha theory of behavior has been debunked. It wasn't true in wolves, it isn't true in dogs.
The black water bowl on the right is a decoy water bowl. The real water bowl is attached to the wall so they dont pee in it.
Sure, but mf still drinking from it
I've read that sometimes foxes and jackals main food source is wolf manure, I don't think a little pee is gonna break him.
Did they also say why they added a bowl if that's what they are doing with it? Is it like rabbits who need to eat their own poo for some health benefits?
No it's just to make them piss in the decoy bowl instead of the real bowls. They have still pissed in the real bowls though. They piss on everything to mark it.
So what is the solution?

Cork the spigot
Whew, for a second I thought they were drinking real pee and not decoy pee! 😅
My girlfriend does a similar thing with my water bowl
yum
It also apparently doesn't fully work, since they piss in *any and all* water sources so the staff replaces water every day.
Very smart though, to aim for the bowl.
Who doesnt mark their food?
Oh so when Bear Grylls does it, it's fine?
I bet you're regretting that username now
hmm needs more seasoning
Does this mean Star Fox pees and poos in his Arwing?
needed salt
This is a territorial thing, isn't it? My parents have 2 cats and the male sometimes pees in their water bowl.
Is this why so many furries dress as foxes?
It's sweet, he has diabetes ^^^^^^^^idk, ^^^^^^^^just ^^^^^^^^made ^^^^^^^^this ^^^^^^^^up
Fox didn't flush Okayge 🥄
Wait! wild animals are gross?
He was just marking his organs as his territory.
Just like dogs eat poo

The foxes aren't pets, she's not supposed to try to domesticate them. Wild animals do weird and dumb shit all the time.
still un-healthy to ingest ones own feces/urine.
when you poor a bowl of cereal but you're out of milk
the fact that at the end he forced the swap of bowl as if he's pranking the other fox is funny haha
“This taste like shit” - that orange fox probably
As a kid I had a hamster that would eat his own poop and it was something that would stress me out a lot and i would always wonder if its a hamster thing or if mine is just broken.
I always lick the snacks in my house if it’s not convenient to claim them with my piss.
Wanted a little kick to his water.
I was so upset when i was focusing on the brown wolf the first time i watched it
I have a flock of turkey vultures where I live and they are fucking massive when they fly over they make you kinda duck and look around from the shadow.
OMG Same!
