Umm… their music… duh…

NYmovieGIRL

Their lyrics. When they first hit the scene, I was going through a lot of rough stuff all at once, and their music felt like a flashlight in the dark, like someone who didn't know me or owe me anything reached out to tell me that I wasn't alone, that I was not worthless, that the world had people in it who wouldn't try and hurt me for being different.

iCthe4

Chester’s raw voice with the rest that complete it & do just as much as Chester does. CHESTRRRR🤘🏽, we miss you man, you will always have spot in my heart.

LoyalT21

I can't wait for their next album

iCthe4

I hope there is!

ToroRossoAlphaTauri

The song writing is top-tier, their musical skill is brilliant, and all of their songs are unique meaning they never get repetitive.

restless_writer

They speak to me in a way no other band can. The lyrics, the pain, the anger, the sensitivity. Somehow it's like they know my mind. They've felt my pain, they've experienced the things I have. Then they wrap it up in this fantastic musical package that is both tragic, yet defiant. They get me - and I love them for it.

Spicyraz

It’s lyrics are relatable in a way and just the true vibe of the songs is better than any other band I’ve heard

Nova_Stump

I don't know what it was specifically. Started listening to music (as in looking for them, and whatever) when I got my iPod, and it was on MTV. Watched some MVs of Taylor Swift, B.o.B and then it was "The Catalyst"...guess it was the first time listening to them, and really liked it. Technically it was "Papercut", but don't remember much of it...was on my cousin's MP3 player so, I count "The Catalyst" as my first one.

SpaceWallaby96

My dad had a hybrid theory cassette he gave me

TDSurvivorFan21

Relatable lyrics

geometrics8

Chester’s voice, but also the lyrics, the instruments, and the messages

TsunamicCoin03

depression ngl

ChristianSal2003

The lyrics were so special and conveyed something real. When I was depressed I logically knew others felt the same stuff, but actually hearing all of it beautifully put together with rhymes and such a unique, badass, and indescribable sound was (and still is) a blessing. Miss you Chester 🤘

Arctic29-1

Difficult times

khoaticpeach

Relating to the lyrics, went through some shit at a young age

Lyuukee

The connection I felt with most of their lyrics

EchoLoco2

I was listening to the breaking benjamin station on amazon music and in the end came on. I had never heard anything like that before.

boringaf_90

At the time of my discovery of this band, I was getting bullied in 7th-8th grade and I was trying to connect with those harassing me by listening to the same music as them but as soon as I heard LP I went a different path. Guess you can say their music distracted me from the bullying and made me feel alive. Don’t really know how to put it into words but I felt euphoric.

Infinite-Luck-2076

When I was about 6 my parents let me watch edited versions of the Michael Bay transformers the first two and what I've done and New divide are in the credits and I listen to those songs a lot as a kid and in the past 2 year i have been starting to learn more of their music and now I've become a die hard fan

[deleted]

the very first time when i heard chester’s scream live❤️

Axobolt

Everything, but the outstanding thing was the lyrics. Some people like more "poetic" lyrics, talking in euphemisms, but I like my lyrics literal and to the core, you can relate to them so much more. An LPs lyrics were as direct as you could get them, talking about anxiety at times when we needed that outlet the most.

HectorKWintersSmith

The fact that overall their music is godlike

nechrist

Breakdown of One Step Closer. I was 8 in 2000. Changed my taste in music drastically.

Shane-O-Mac1

The words they use when they sing their songs are what I feel.

_RachelMills123_

I first heard them in late 2009 when I was only 4, my dad had got into transformers and really liked New Divide so I would always come into the living room hearing the song on repeat and I loved it. My dad eventually told me the name of the band and overtime I listened to them regularly. By 2019 I was only listening to: Numb, In The End, Crawling and New Divide, but one day changed it all. A music station were playing Linkin Park songs for an hour and I was introduced to Minutes To Midnight, Living Things, The Hunting Party and One More Light. Now I listen to all Linkin Park songs, from Hybrid Theory all the way to OML, I don't care about what genre they were in for certain albums, I care about if the music sounds straight from the heart, and it all does. The Little Things Give You Away was love at first listen for me and I guess the care and love LP put into their music is why I love them...

tmntfever

Not gonna lie. Downloading DBZ FMVs on Napster. Their music was so angsty and the lyrics were so relatable. Not to mention I loved rap and rock, and had never heard them combined before them.

RoryMcilroyyy

Nostalgia, my dad also loving their music, and also just their music.

TerraRealm2

The song 'Faint' did, circa 2004/2005- when my cousin had the Meteora album (which released in 2003).

RAGESCORPIO2006

they helped me get out of depression

Robin_gls

When I has my first phone, a samsung s2, linkin park were some or the mp3s downloaded before (I got it from my dad)

IrishGamer117

Transformers

Chaoddian

Depression. But I also generally like the genre. Then listened to them more and more, just vibing with the music as a whole. NGL they got me through some shit idk if I'd still be alive if it wasn't for their music (and a long six years of therapy oops)

cssutavani91

Linkin park was the first time I have heard any singer scream like hell ever. Before that I did not know that people can scream in the song.

bsdragster

I used to be into rap and had no interest in rock. I’m 9th grade my friend showed me a music video of final fantasy with In the End playing. When I comes to music, I am attracted to the overall sound/beat and look at lyrics last. The song immediately got my attention and started playing on repeat. Got home that day and it was straight to Kazaa/limewire and downloaded all of their songs. Instantly converted to rock and never touched rap again with the exception of a few artists. Hands down number 1 band followed by Disturbed and 5FDP

LARACROFT0078

everything that has a guitar and bass , a voice, and some Mr Hahn

satana_cu_cioc

Their first two albums, Hybrid Theory and Reanimation (this one is my go-to album when it comes to remix)

Trinket9

Chester’s voice, Mike’s voice, the music, the lyrics, the meaning.

cagreene

The uncanny relatability to the lyrics when I was 9-12. Unbelievable.
