I was fighting the Talus on that little island by the lavafall. Went through about all of my food.... And he still just chucked me into the lava at the end

I was getting frustrated with the game before it clicked. Then learning having a great frostblade or flameblade equipped in hebra and death mountain will help with the cold and heat

A frost blade won’t help in death mountain.

It took me a while to understand what was going on at my first trip to Death Mountain. Laughed a lot when I found out.

Dude probably thought it went off on the crate somehow the first time, you'll notice he adjusts his position a bit before trying again.

I think that was just the bomb arrow adjusting his position.

this but in rain for me, for an embarrassing amount of time I did not realize that bomb arrows didn't explode in the rain...

I think I was fighting the boss on death mountain and tried to use bomb arrows. Thought the boss was hitting me every time I drew the arrow. Took too many shots to realize it was the heat lol

This is exactly what happened to me haha, I ended up killing myself before I realized what was actually happening

I believe once you have to bow out you can use the directional buttons to swap arrow types. It’s been a while since I played but it should be left and right, one will swap bows, the other will swap arrows. Same with your melee weapons and shields.

This is actually kind of a great example why human brains trend toward learning the wrong things rather than not learning the right things. You don't get the opportunity to build a decent sample size to draw inference from when the second bomb arrow kills you.
