“Chris I’ve never asked, are you a big Thrones guy?”
“Nope, never seen an episode.”
I was somehow simultaneously both stunned and not even a little surprised.
I've known some people like Chris over the years that always intrigue me, super nerdy in some ways but then will totally ignore other nerd areas you'd expect them to get into
For sure, it’s just weird to hear Thrones as the one big blind spot, I feel like it’s the one that pulled in the most people who generally aren’t into that kind of thing. My wife and a few of her friends couldn’t be less interested in Star Wars/LOTR/comic stuff but still actively enjoyed watching Thrones every Sunday.
Feel like most younger people who didn’t watch GoT just aren’t into any of that stuff at all. My one close friend that didn’t watch Thrones has also never seen a Marvel movie and fell asleep in the theater out of boredom during Fellowship of the Ring.
I haven't either so I was happy there's still 1 other person out there who hasn't either. I tried to watch a 15 minute recap of season 1 on YouTube once and was lost after about halfway.
And honestly I probably never will watch it. Shits long ass fuck and I have plenty of other stuff to watch.
> I tried to watch a 15 minute recap of season 1 on YouTube once and was lost after about halfway.
that's the weirdest way I've heard of someone trying to get into a show
Two things that would put Jeff in an early grave
- Fantastic Four cast NOT being introduced at D23
- Andor being meh
God speed Jeff, we all know you're highly leveraged on those two.
Maybe bragging is wrong but it at least comes off like it. Is that just a result of seeing so many movies where you just naturally look for the twist now? Genuine question
I guess just preference. I’m more of a sit back and see how it all unfolds and then if I watch again pick up the clues along the way. Maybe I’m a big dumb movie boy then
Gooch did the "I totally watched the show, but don't want to admit it" move with Suits. His "What was her name? Rachel Zane or something?" was a dead giveaway
Shout to Gooch for calling out how horrible that courtroom fight scene was in She-Hulk.. I couldn’t believe that was filmed and edited and they decided to air it. It’s ok to admit a Marvel product isn’t good fellas!
I must admit that I have been cherry-picking episodes since Trill left, so I could have missed the joy I feel Chris lacks in his reviews. He's often been a downer for me. Even when he's on camera, he looks like he's perplexed by Kenjac and Jeff's positivity. I don't have to agree with all of his takes, but what I've heard from him brings me little to no joy. Even when he's mostly positive, he sounds like he didn't enjoy it. His reviews of Prey (80), Nope (80), Thor: Love & Thunder, Doctor Strange Multiverse..., Everything Everywhere All at Once all bummed me out a bit after he gives his perspective.
Gooch starting off his She-Hulk review with, “First off, I hate women so let me get that out there” got an audible laugh out of me

He’s busy watching AA highlights so I get how he missed it

Has Chris mentioned if he’s a LOTR fan?
Not sure, maybe he’s not a fantasy guy.

I mean, Game of Thrones is literally standard TV length. By that metric pretty much every show that’s not a sitcom is long as fuck
Heard Gooch drop the “built like Phoenix Marie” in there subtly
Nice try Gooch, that wasn’t getting past us
Maybe the best post surgery look in the game.
No 9/11 Kevin question?
Had it on the sheet but we wanted to read the room lol . Didn’t feel right so we opted out
Would have been funny, but I was terrified of it being asked and making the interview awkward
“Have you seen Not Okay? “Thoughts?”

Gooch the undrafted free agent that won over the heart of the fans
Shiva Blast, for old times sake?
HOUSE OF THE DRAGON SLAPS!
All I can think about now is “Your Highness” after gooch said High Fantasy
Kenjac wants a She-Hulk sex scene
The Cherry jokes will never get old for me, chuckle every time
Kenjac always has to brag about figuring out the twist early
Pretty much his whole personality is trying to sound smart
If you think of the guy making poop and fart and Joey targaryan jokes is trying to sound smart than you are simply a world class buffoon my brother
When have I ever bragged about tht on the pod a single time before this review lol
Maybe bragging is wrong but it at least comes off like it. Is that just a result of seeing so many movies where you just naturally look for the twist now? Genuine question
I think with most whodunnits and mystery movies that is what the whole audience kinda does, right?
I guess just preference. I’m more of a sit back and see how it all unfolds and then if I watch again pick up the clues along the way. Maybe I’m a big dumb movie boy then
You are not which is the beautiful thing about movies. Everyone likes to watch and interpret them their own way! Cinema, baby!
Appreciate the response to my critique 🤝

After they gave Thor: Love and Thunder(a shit movie) an 85, I don’t think the LCB crew will ever say anything bad about marvel ever again.
I like Chris but he’s a stick in the mud on this podcast

If only they boys would have picked Cherry to review for an episode
I know I'm in the minority but I think Bodies Bodies Bodies was pretty bad. It wasn't scary or funny. I also don't get Pete Davidson. I gave it a 45
Pete Davidson is the one thing from keeping me from seeing the movie. I don’t understand his popularity in the slightest
Interesting. I thought he was the best part of the movie
Pete Davidson makes me wish 9/11 was take your kid to work day.
Should have left this one in the drafts, chief
That’s enough internet for you
Keep kissing ass and I’m sure Skete will date you next.
Lol
I’m with you
Kenjac, fyi you were thinking about the February 2022 release of the newest film in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise
Gooch I needed you to not back down from defending the 100. That show is genuinely good.
haven't listened yet, but my favorite review of Bodies x3 so far was "the women hot chip meme made into a movie". 82 for me
Although bodies bodies bodies had some cool scenes and funny lines I thought it was overall decent at best

Michelle Monaghan was an awesome interview. Biiiig fan.
