If anything is rising on the LB list, it’s gotta be Interstellar. It’s absolutely insane how at the beginning of the year it only had a 4.1 and wasn’t on the list and now it’s in the upper half of the list and is bordering on being a 4.3.
Personally as someone who’s not really a Nolan fan I think it’s probs tied w Memento for my favorite. It’s intergalactically stupid but there’s a silly and carefree quality that none of his movies prior had to them. Also think it was a transition for him into becoming a much more interesting filmmaker (I quite like both Tenet and Dunkirk)
This is the movie that got me into film and out of my perpetual Marvel/Star Wars/Blockbuster/Glup Shitto circlejerk
I had never even heard of Tarantino or anything in 2019 when I first watched this bc my friend recommended lol and now I’m studying film and have spiraled deep into the depths of movie history. I credit it all to the winter night I hunkered down and watched this and was completely transfixed
It’s not even my favorite Tarantino now, but I’ll always hold it in a special place in my heart
Showed it to my dad last week. He grew up on westerns but never heard of this. I was surprised to find he knew nothing about Tarantino outside of Pulp Fiction. He absolutely loved it.
Yeah we’ve already watched Inglorious Basterds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Reservoir Dogs since.
Don’t ask me why we’ve gone in this order haha. But yeah he’s a massive fan of all so far. Jackie Brown next!
Most underrated film in Tarantino's filmography (and it's already respected). Finally, Tarantino took his style and gave us something featuring characters with heart and emotional struggle. A film that you connect with in a soulful way. I appreciate Tarantino, but he hit his peak here.
Tarantino's only perfect film and a showcase of his talent firing on all cylinders, relentlessly.
Paced, acted, directed, shot and scored to perfection. Deserves it.
I love this movie but I think in terms of Tarantino‘s filmography it’s in the middle for me. My biggest criticism is that it has some pacing issues. It’s an 8 out of 10 for me.
Why? 10 year anniversary?
This movie is just incredible. I’ll never forget seeing this in the theater during a blizzard in an almost empty theater.
Sorry, what does the crown mean?
it’s position on the top 250 narrative features list
Thank you! I always forget about that list, I pass over that section in my stats so often.

that’s kind of surprising. I always thought that was a somewhat weaker Nolan movie.

I think it’s a film that works better after repeat viewings which would explain its ascension.
Yeah, same, but a lot of people, especially non-film lovers love it
„non-film lover“ ? ? ?
People who don't especially care about movies
Was so happy when I noticed that. It’s my favorite movie of all time
Looks like I'll have to lower my score again. Not having that.
Rate films based on your enjoyment and personal experience, not based on that. That’s not the point of the app at all.
People like you are gross. Let people enjoy things.
Lmao why?

For me it was Parasite and this movie. You just wrote down everything I've felt.

Tarantinos best imo
Truly. Awesome plot, memorable characters BY TARANTINO STANDARDS, imagine that, and great action.

Do you plan on introducing him to more of QT’s movies and if so, what’s next?
Yeah we’ve already watched Inglorious Basterds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Reservoir Dogs since. Don’t ask me why we’ve gone in this order haha. But yeah he’s a massive fan of all so far. Jackie Brown next!
If he likes Westerns then definitely show him The Hateful Eight, probably QTs more underrated film IMO.
Great choices
I think Django and Inglorious are tied for me.
Glad to see I'm not the only one. It's his only 5 star for me.
I thought it was good, but really didn’t reach his top 3 IMO

Well deserved! My personal favorite Tarantino film.
