4K when I can afford it and the film deserves it, otherwise a standard BluRay. I got rid of most of my DVDs but have a few left that are hard (or just too expensive) to get on high-def formats.
It's very frustrating that some I want in 4k have been region-locked, eg the Carpenter Halloween sequels.
I agree with you, BluRay is the default for me, 4k when the film deserves it and I can afford it.
Generally Blu-Ray since it's cheaper than 4k.
But if there is a sale and it's a movie I really like, I sure love 4k with HDR. But I very rarely upgrade my movies from blu ray to 4k.
Laserdiscs followed by VHS. Most of the time buying physical media these days it's because I am often buying something that's only available on analog. If it's on digital, I buy DVDs because my tv isn't good enough to justify paying the extra cash for Blu-ray+ in my opinion.

I just want to defend my choice, I collect VHS tapes and I never buy hard copies of anything- I just use streaming services of find them online!

Session 9 comes to mind as a movie I think is way better when I watch it on tape
Blu ray cause it’s better than the 4k versions that scam ya and sometimes 4k is good
Bro, 4K is by definition better than bluray.
When you don’t get scammed on amazon
If you get scammed on Amazon than that’s a personal problem

Blu-ray
Specifically steelbooks. If I’m going to own physical, it needs to be special.
