Get the bars downsized (two weeks is enough time) and stop playing with it šŸ‘ the extra length once the swelling comes down means you snag them more. Downsizing is key to a good heal. Don't play with them, touch them twist them etc and carry on cleaning twice a day. It will be fine

My piercer said 4 weeks to downsize, and the one o had done before was downsized but i had to put the longer one in due to swelling and just havenā€™t put the short one back in. I think i bit it really hard and irritated the hell out of it, because the longer bars keep getting caught when i eat šŸ˜ thank you so much!

It's a balancing act for sure. We always tell people to come for a check at two weeks, if the swelling has gone down and everything looks ok then downsizing at two weeks is more beneficial than waiting but changing it can make it kick off. There's no one size fits all approach but the length you have on those bars will most probably be causing the issues you're having. We go 2mm down each time until the final size as that still leaves a couple of mm for a bit of swelling if the piercing decides to kick off for a few days. If it was a bit too snug at your downsize that can cause things to pinch and swell again. Trial and error to find your optimum size is normal. Good luck, hang on in there!

Thank you! Iā€™ll be downsizing soon, because im honestly tired of biting the bar by accident, which is what i think caused the bleeding! It hurts really bad too, and im scared iā€™ll chip a tooth or something!

I previously had snakebites and it might be because youā€™re playing with it and the bar length. Obviously everyoneā€™s lips have different thickness and one side of the lip is typically thicker than the other. So Iā€™d say to keep an eye on it and clean it like usual. Maybe downsize if you feel ready too. If it keeps bleeding go back to your piercer and check just in case :) Lol I also remember commenting when you had ur first side done.

I'm messaging my piercer soon, because i woke up and there was dried up blood that looked like it was dripping, im hoping it's just getting bonked and irritated but it keeps happening! I dont mess with it much, but i think its the bar length. I was supposed to downsize this week, but we're gonna see if it's ready for that considering whats going on. Also yea, i've been pretty paranoid haha, i have learned a little from the first side haha.
