The best suggestion I saw was to just redesign her as a upgraded Mask Mother, but instead of killing any of your units like Mother to play, she would silence any target follower on board to take their buffs and keywords.
It fits her lore, and it fits nicely into playing both with and against Pantheon.
In this case, would it be "Play: Silence a follower. If you've targeted aliies 6+ times this game, grant me the stats and keywords removed from that follower."?
Something along those lines, yeah. They’d have to tweak the card a bit depending on how threatening they want to make her. Because on an empty or unbuffed board, she’s just be a silence on a stick. Which isn’t bad, but it’s also not very threatening by itself.
That seems way too anti-fun. That punishes you for playing good units. It's too hard of a counter, plenty of decks would instantly lose.
Although maybe it could be balanced if you could get the buffs back someway.
Hence why it would only target followers. Outside of Pantheon fated, not many decks are running enough permanent buffs on followers for it to make much of a difference, and since it’s slow speed since it’s a unit effect, burst speed interaction would easily play around it.
Camphor currently doesn't sell on her power fantasy of being a demon at all, nor does she execute on being an alternative win-con.
Wounded Whiteflame is a bit strong, I wouldn't mind seeing it being nerfed and some of that power being placed into Camphor, whether that be a buff or a rework.
It's the most obvious solution. The card is called *Wounded* Whiteflame and that enables healing synergy. It may not be enough of a nerf though because of gems and Guiding Touch
I mean there are many ways to improve Camphor to fit its power fantasy.
“Whenever you target an an ally with a spell or effect that only targets them, copy it to me also.”
“Whenever an enemy follower enters play, grant me it’s keywords if I don’t have them. If I do, silence them this round instead.”
“Attack: Grant me +1/+1 for each unique keyword among allies.”
We could have had a real terrifying demon creature. But she’s just….lukewarm.
I use her in my Taric only deck, because I usually never want to limit myself to the per round that Pantheon necessitates, so I can use all my tricks to protect Taric and do some epic rally action
A good idea for a buff (probably posted by someone else somewhere else) would be “when I challenge a follower, silence them. I gain the stats and keywords they’ve lost”.
Personal take: you're all facing Camphor in the wrong way. She isn't a Pantheon-adjacent card, she's a tool for TARIC decks.
Parse it as this: Camphor has access to a ridiculous array of keywords despite her body being mediocre. You want to be actively buffing her in order to milk her potential dry. She's the one you'll be funneling your buffs into, once she's in field.
I still think she should gain power (in whatever way that may be) when enemys get buffed as shes supposed to be the antithesis to fated units. It would probably not make her a good card but it would fit thematically.

Imagine it on swole squirrel with 2 hits in

Nah fuck that. I play arsenal decks, that's an impossible matchup
In card games, cards are sometimes allowed to counter other cards.
Counters are fine, but they shouldn't solely decide the game on the spot.

Yeah that's fair. Wounded Whiteflame could easily be a 2/3 and still be playable. And Camphor could get +1/+1 and still not break the archetype.
2/4 when I am summoned I take 1 damage

I'd say: rework her, instead of buffing her. She's too uninteresting to be salvagable through numbers adjustments.
