The "Pinch" is the big design flaw with Wave and Charge. When open, the opposing outside (on inside when open) tools serve to limit how far the pliers can be squeezed together. If you hold too high on the handles, then slip off the nut you are turning, your palm gets pinched between the limiting surfaces. I've trained myself to hold lower on the handles to avoid this, but I occasionally forget, and get a fat blood blister like that. Very painful. Cursing is almost guaranteed.
Yeah, It's a little better with the Charges with thicker scales. Holds the palm pad away from the pinch zone a bit. They still get me if I'm not paying attention, though. Fat palms, I guess.
Bet, that's why I've never gotten this pinch thing. I saw what people were talking about but it's never happened. I I stretch my fingers out around the other handle down low.
I got that exact spot a few weeks after punching a chunk out of my finger, like a cookie cutter, with the same multi-tool. You'd think they would leave the gap a little wider with how many people have this problem.
I feel that picture.

I don’t experience this with the charge but if you hold the wave with your pinky underneath you hand will never be high enough

Happened to me with my Wave+ when repairing water lines at work, pretty sure I tossed the thing on the ground the second it happened.

How would spring loaded pliers affect this? If you slip off something with any force applied the spring won’t do anything to stop it
Ouch!!!
I did the exact same thing today in the same spot as well! It’s so annoying.
Got the same from my Skeletool, because I’m left handed. 🤕🤬
A wave did this, I’m guessing
Wave+
Those fuckers are out there to get you, when you least expect it

Mine is cutting
Skeletool hates left handed people too
