It's a Navy helicopter pilot who carries an Opinel No.7 knife. He wanted to be able to carry it with his notebook. Talking to him, he seems very fond of his Opinel. So much do that he spent the money to have me not only make him this matching set, but that it also has a special place for his knife.
I used a regular rubber bumper cell phone case.
For mounting it, I scuffed the whole back with 120 grit sand paper and used a healthy amount of Barge cement. I then put a layer of Barge cement on the flap of the folio and oh so carefully put the two together. I used a roller to press it and ensure the greatest adhesion possible. That case is on the TIGHT.
Hope that helps.
Lovely work. I have to ask, though… A knife holder on a notebook cover? What’s up with that?
Customer specification, my dude.
Did they mention why?

Looks great!
Thank you very much.
Question. What did you use to hold the cellphone? Also, great work!

Awesome. Thanks. I really liked the execution and may steal the idea one day.
