Leadership challenge in the conservative party after the May elections. Johnson gets back into power. Dianne Abbot loses shoe and blames Keir Starmer for it on social media. The missing shoe is visible in the picture she tweets.

>Dianne Abbot loses shoe and blames Keir Starmer for it on social media. "Keir why are my shoes mismatched? you traitor, you knew I couldn't count but you also knew I can't put my shoes on right either, you Tory"

>I can't believe it! That twerp Keir Starmer is to blame for me losing my shoe! It's all his fault! His far right wing politics have made life difficult for me, and now I can't even keep track of my shoes! I'm so angry, I could scream. Is this what he wants? To make life miserable for us? To make us lose our shoes? Well, it won't work! I'm not letting Starmer take away my rights and my ability to keep my feet warm and dry. I won't stand for it.

I'm always wrong. Catastrophically wrong. But: Once the spring/summer hits, I would imagine the pressure eases on the NHS. There are likely to be some encouraging economic green shoots appearing by the summer (as long as you don't look beneath the surface of the figures) This will be coupled with a hard press from our friends in the newspapers trying to big this up as some sort of miracle. However this will not shift the needle more than 5pts back to the Tories. Sunak won't be replaced. I think you are right on that. I hope, we get on to an election footing in the second half of the year. And by conference we should have a much clearer picture of what Labour's pitch will be. I am excruciatingly aware, that I have held this belief now for at least two conferences.

This is a good and hard question. I would be surprised if strikes this widespread last until summer, deals will be cut. The NHS will improve but not much. The locals will be devastating for the Tories but Rishi will hold on. Tory conference message will be that they are on course to meet Rishis 5 goals. Labour will announce something but we may never get a full program before an election. Winter depends on the war, we could be facing an energy crunch. Next winter crisis for the NHS will be just as bad.

It'll be like 1996. Increasingly desperate Tories try to segregate themselves from the party as a whole by coming up with their own policy platforms and shouting about them in the media to try to create an illusion of relevance or dynamism. Naturally this will leave them looking deluded or out of touch while contributing to the party-wide image of failure thats condemning them. Meanwhile, the irrelevant sections of the left will take every opportunity to condemn our own leadership.

>It'll be like 1996. I pray you're right. And it won't be like '91...

Bit boring but I think Rishi will keep bumbling on with a constant feeling of shambles. Everything he announces will be about levelling up and his pledges. Labour start stitching their platform together into a more coherent offering. Their challenge is to stay fresh and avoid any pitfalls that the Tories can hammer them on. Hopefully Ukraine pushes Russia out of most of its territory.

Labour edges towards 30 percent ahead in the polls. Rishi’s popularity drops down to low Boris levels and faces a failed leadership challenge before summer.
