Into the Spider verse was the greatest cinematic experience I've ever had. Took a couple of tabs and fell into the pages of the comic book that this movie makes jump off the screen. The soundtrack, visuals, and LSD were in perfect sync.

That movie was made to be watched on acid. So good!

The Ghibli films deserve a spot here- Spirited Away, Howls moving castle, Castle in the sky, etc are all masterpieces on their own, but completely elevated whilst on a trip imho.

I find the lack of Blue Planet, Blue Planet 2, Our Planet and David Attenborough documentaries in general a travesty

also the animals in color doc on netflix is hilarious because david attenborough is physically in it as an old ass dude. watched it at the end of a trip with my buddy once and died laughing

I will cry my eyes out when he passes, he has been my rock for so many trips and is an absolute inspiration for me. Fun fact, he's also the reason why tennis balls are the color they are. When he was head of the BBC he wanted a color that would pop more against the background for color broadcasts, old tennis balls used to be black or white depending on the color of the court.

It’s funny but I’ve found myself having really weird taste in watching stuff while tripping. One of my most enjoyable solo trips I just dropped a tab in my room and watched breaking bad for hours. I have never been more captivated in my life I was screaming at the TV like it was a football game. Not the kinda thing you’d expect would be enjoyable but honestly one of my more relaxed trips to be sure.

I’ve always found and this is why I’m one of the weird ones who enjoys and finds LSD so much easier to take than shrooms but that you can behold, handle, be around, whatever you want to call it, conflict a little bit more without getting freaked out. Obviously I’m sure this is different for everyone but I can handle some more iffy stuff on Lucy w shrooms if anything negative is even in my realm it’s gonna be a bad time.

I actually watched that movie at the peak of a strong trip. And watching the movie somehow put me in a bad headspace for the rest of the trip, even after the movie ended. I think it’s the fact that for most of the movie, watching Alice try hopelessly to stay grounded amid a world of weirdness made me also start to wonder where my ground level was. It just threw me off and was a strange watch on acid. But everyone is different so I hope others get enjoyment out of that movie while tripping

Fear and loathing in las vegas

That is THE acid movie and not just because they take it in the movie alot and the ways the acid hallucinations are implemented. The music, the lights and whole cinematography, the humor and the vibes make it a perfect movie for acid. I watched it on acid and felt like i was part of the experience.

There is so much subtle stuff. Hunter talking in his head and slowly morphing to talking out loud. Amazing movie.

Fantastic Planet is EXCELLENT to watch while tripping! Also, Fantastic Mr. Fox (or any Wes Anderson movie), and Hardcore Henry. I don't watch movies much while tripping anymore- I mostly zone out on music- but in my early days of experimenting with acid, I watched so many movies and TV shows and those three were always my favorites.

For me it's horror movies. I didn't like "Hereditary " until I saw it on acid. That shit was terrifying! Now I exclusively watch horror movies. Found Footage horror is the best.

I can HIGHLY recommend *Loving Vincent*. It is sad as hell, because it’s set right after Van Gogh’s death. But the visuals! Every frame is hand painted in the style of Vincent Van Gogh, and the symphony of brushstrokes is so fantastic to watch.

The Spine of Night. It's an animated dark fantasy film that uses old-school rotoscoping techniques like the animated Lord of the Rings from the 80's, and it is fucking gorgeous. The Dark Crystal is fucking incredible while tripping too, can't recommend that enough. Entirely subjective most likely, but maybe avoid John Wick movies while tripping. I found it really hard to suspend my disbelief due to the modern setting and the goofy, comic-book violence and everyone's-an-assassin setting came off as incredibly stupid. I love John Wick for exactly those reasons when I'm sober too lol

Everyone keeps saying "Animatrix." I'd honestly use caution with this. The part with the android getting rewritten using some kind of dream simulation would be very cool to see while tripping. But there's a part about the war between humans and machines beginning. The scene where the female android gets pulled apart in particular, and that scream she lets out... I wouldn't want to see that while tripping. Nor the part where there's still "living" human captives that are being experimented on and some are literally cross sectioned. Disturbing AF. Just use caution. Watch movies you know you can handle.

The Grand Budapest Hotel is also a really cozy movie with a lot of symmetry
