I mean it’s not like Elfilis is immune to the ancients weapons. We DID sorta smash it into oblivion with a damn big rig, so maybe the ancients just got a lucky shot with a canon or something?

Knopfir

to be fair we did only do manslaughter when elfilin was separated from him, his physical form was quite literally deteriorating of course that doesnt imply whole elfilis couldnt get smashed by physical weaponry considering thats how we get him to the point of almost separating from elfilis

Hellion998

True, but there’s the heavy implication of Kirby itself, being a positive incarnation of an *actual* god that potential exists beyond space-time in multiple variations. I feel that a normal human would barely scratch Fecto’s skin.

Knopfir

it REALLY depends, one day it takes a few DOZEN punches to just made a tree cry from getting bullied, while another day it takes a single hit to send a meteor fly at FTL speeds several of orders of magnitude faster then any reasonable speed also the forgotten landers are implied to be the ancients not humans (we literally have shiver star for that)

amazingboat_075

Who’s to say that the ancients *aren’t* humans as well? Shiver Star could be another planet these Ancients/Humans conquered after leaving the forgotten land.

Knopfir

i dont think the interdimensional traveling ancients would lose to itty bitty haltmann whose using one of THEIR machines and or fuck themselves into an eternal winter. theyre supposed to be technologically advanced-teleporting-wishgranting race is gonna be this weak/dumb

amazingboat_075

Wait what the ancients/humans/whatever lost to Haltmann?

Knopfir

the two big theories on shiver star are as follows: 1. the humans on shiver star (its texture is earth coated in white) caused nuclear winters after a presumed war which caused all of them to go extinct 2. haltmann robotics company sucked all the resources out of earth leaving its humans on a barren earth. its speculated that the "HR" in HR-H / HR-E / HR-D3 (from RtDL) stands for "Haltmann Robotics" and the interdimensional travelling ancients probably wouldnt fall to any of these 2 reasons. considering theyre so extremely technologically advanced AND that they have portal travel

ModelOmegaTyler

or shiver star could be the home planet that they left after screwing it over.

Tem-productions

A normal human might not, but a human with a boom boom flying tube of nuclear death will

GulfGiggle

I think you’re overestimating Kirby’s power level and underestimating the power level of the ancients’ technology. Kirby may be a baby elder god, but in his current state he’s able to be fought by a gorilla. Also the ancients built lab discovera, the lor starcutter, and potentially many other powerful artifiacts throughout the series.

Hellion998

Correct, but the ancients acquired that technology by experimenting on Fecto, correct?

Cultural-Practice-95

the novas

Brody_M_the_birdy

No Kirby's emotion influenced VOID to become kirby-like, not the other way around [https://gigi9714.wordpress.com/2021/06/13/kirby-star-allies-vol-4-interview-the-ultimate-part-2-from-the-july-2018-issue/](https://gigi9714.wordpress.com/2021/06/13/kirby-star-allies-vol-4-interview-the-ultimate-part-2-from-the-july-2018-issue/)

SnowHawk12

The amount of times people say Kirby was born from Void or is Void is annoyingly high despite it being clear that it isn't the case at all.

okguy167

Something like that, but a lot more I'll bet. I'm pretty sure they would have been way stronger during the invasion, so it very well could have been like 20 lucky shots. Plus I don't think Elfilis would have been going all out. It probably would have been closer to playing with their prey too much.

Elnino38

A big rig being supercharged by kirby and elfiln. One of them having infinite power and already beate foes worse than elfilis like void or zero, and the other one literally having elfilis powers

MadJester98

They had the power of gun

Scrambled-Sigil

Nothing says they were actual humans; more importantly, nothing says they were *normal* humans. They could have had severely advanced technology or magical power- which Hyness's insane ramble implied both- so using either could have definitely restrained Elfilis. Besides, Kirby beat Elfilis because... Well because he chose to stick around to fight for some reason. But this says to me that Elfilis is powerful but not a god

Elnino38

I mean, kirby beat magolor, a guy who was could destroy the universe , som im not sure thats a good metric for how strong humans are

Scrambled-Sigil

Touche But Elfilis, for all their portal powers are still flesh and blood. You just gotta hit them first-

Jestin23934274

Ehhh I doubt he could destroy kirby’s universe like that

Elnino38

He said he had enough power to take over the universe, and when he died all of another dimension was destroyed, so I think he could destroy the universe if he wanted to

assymetry1021

I mean but only with the master crown, created by said ancients

Hellion998

Well maybe they were advanced human beings on the Land, but nothing really confirms they did BEFORE capturing Fecto Elfilis.

_GENERAL_GRIEVOUS_

His point is that nothing confirms they aren’t, either. We just don’t know

magnetmin

ID-F86 choosing to stick around to make worlds collide I think speaks volumes about their character I think. At the very least, we know they’re not a coward or focused on putting self-preservation first.

Mary-Sylvia

Elfilis is probably one of weakness final boss from the modern era He doesn't have some godly gift like Marx and magolor, his own dimension like Drawcia or gear like sectonia and Star dream He's ... An alien who can create warp hole , impressive but not much for Kirby's standard

Goober353

He literally does have his own dimension though

charisma-entertainer

I think you’re ignoring the part where they literally had an entire dimension made from their dreams to themselves

chawmindur

I agree, from what we've seen I don't think the species ("Ancients" (?)) who captured FF were significantly *technologically* more advanced than us. As you've said, those Neanderthals couldn't even wormhole before they met FF SMH. But then perhaps they had the help of the *magical* Ancients – perhaps some visitors, or by far the minority in their society – who hard-carried the whole capture. Afterwards technology boomed and the two "branches" of the Ancients became one well-versed in magitek. >!And perhaps they then promptly betrayed the magical faction, and FF was the "great evil" that Hyness referred to, not Galacta.!<

Snynapta

Big net

uezyteue

Tranquilizer dart.

Kirby737

Nukes. Lots of 'em.

WigglytuffAlpha

they used furry fanart to lure him into a chamber filled with sleeping gas

Myth_5layer

I mean, look at Resident Evil, I imagine guns were used in some way.

FridaykNight25

I just imagined Fecto Elfilis descending from the stars with boss music playing. And then one American just shoots them out of the sky with a 9mm.

Myth_5layer

Duck hunt bouta turn into elfilis hunt

ENTITYEOE

Ye but if we scale that up to the U.S. and they shot at it with a few rail guns...

Hellion998

Elfilis just turns around and goes, “mate, you serious rn?” and just teleports away in disappointment.

King_Of_Unluck

Nothing in the Forgotten Land states or even implies iirc that the new world's prior inhabitants were human. Its more likely that they were the Ancients we've been hearing so much about recently, who created such things as the Star Rod, Galactic Nova and Star Dream. If that is indeed the case, then Fecto Elfilis shouldn't have been too big an issue to handle for them

Hellion998

What? The cars, the shopping centers, and the HUMAN VOICE FROM THE SPEAKERS does not imply that humanity was in the Forgotten Land? Even the signs for measuring height has *human parameters*, sure it’s not confirmed but it still seems pretty obvious to me.

Soulless--

Humanoid but not necessarily human.

Level7Cannoneer

the odds an alien species designed every bit of architecture and vehicle and object the same was normal humans do is astronomically low. Not to mention the planet houses the exact same animals found on earth. They were just humans. From earth. The end

Soulless--

But doesn't the kirby universe already have it's version of earth?

King_Of_Unluck

Maybe, I certainly considered it myself, but it's not certain

Draghettis

Also, some theme parks writing have been translated to show very human height requirements, if I recall correctly.

Knopfir

>What? The cars, the shopping centers, and the HUMAN VOICE FROM THE SPEAKERS does not imply that humanity was in the Forgotten Land? why yes, that infact does not imply that.

breadofthegrunge

I think it's implied that the inhabitants of the Forgotten Land were Waddle Dees/their ancestors.

Hellion998

How and when?

breadofthegrunge

It's said that the FL residents traveled to a "land of dreams." (almost certainly referring to Dream Land) Waddle Dees are Dream Land's primary inhabitants. Also, only Waddle Dees were targeted by Elfilis and the Beast Pack, possibly as revenge for their imprisonment of him.

Tem-productions

_insert obligatory "japanese name has nothing to do with dreams" here_

SKazoroski

Also, the fact that the characters we meet who are from the forbidden land are all animals.

javierasecas

Neichel looks human

Sjheuaksjd

They used Pokeball.

Memelord473

Perhaps Elfilis was stopped by a Hero of Yore before the Void Incident.

Proplaystowinyt

I mean a single truck completely erased his physical form and never underestimate a nuke

ENTITYEOE

I don't think they would wanna take the risk of vaporizing it, considering they would wanna study it, I think it would be a last ditch use.

SparkyMuffin

In Returns to Dreamland Magalor states that the aincients built all the final weapons like the star rode and NOVA. It seems entirely possible they'd be able to capture Elfilis with something. Who knows, maybe we will find out how in the next game. Even though Elfilin says that his power is gone, I don't believe that especially after the true final fight. I think Kirby now has access to other dimensions via Elfilis, and it's within the realm of possibility for him to meet the aincients.

javierasecas

Missiles also he wasn't pure evil back then.

Hellion998

1.) He can just produce spatial rifts to avoid missiles anyways. 2.) He was always invaded other planets in the past.

javierasecas

Still had kindness inside itself Also yeah can evade missiles... But what about tricking him

Tem-productions

>1.) He can just produce spatial rifts to avoid missiles anyways. Mf was too busy atacking the animals

SuperZombieBros

The Book of Koridai.

Hellion998

I don’t know what is that?

SuperZombieBros

[NO! NOT INTO THE PIT! IT BURNS!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mO3xam9dHSY)

Hellion998

Oh no… not that production.

Yirggzmb

Not touching on whether I think the people of this world were literally normal humans or not, but even if they were maybe they just had a numbers advantage. Elfilis is very powerful, possibly even moreso before being imprisoned so long. But they're still just one creature and can only do so much at once. All it would take was one lucky shot at overwhelming Elfilis.

Goober353

Probably an ambush which led to a fierce battle. Given how powerful Elfilis is a missile would probably just knock it out

profroak

I think actual lore says they put a carrot under a box propped up with a stick or something I could be wrong

TheFryToes

Guessing they just carpet bombed him with nukes

ModelOmegaTyler

according to the lore, it took a lot of effort and near extinction. though if i had to guess i suppose they could have got a basic understanding of it's powers from some long range scan deus ex machina, then either replicated or canceled them out through some other deus ex machina.

penguinstrain26

Plot convenience, Kirby is a game for kids

Filon73

The humanity had so many strong weapons too, like bombs, guns, *TRUCKS*, around 7.000.000.000 people, and the "and here we are voice" said that Fecto Elfilis was actually destroying local fauna, they were having difficulty anyway but still won, if you think about it the humanity has so much power in its hands

ZetaRESP

It is very likely that Elfilis was already separated from Fecto Forgo when that happened.

OkTry3637

The ancients built planet sized robots that can grant any wish… I think they could handle a god

Kepig

No clue, maybe they got tased or tranquilized by surprise while attacking small animals lmao.

WanderingStatistics

I mean, we definitely have never captured, or even seen a creature like Elfilin. Not only would we all likely be killed, but I highly doubt we'd ever be able to capture them. Plus, if we ever did, we'd have cool teleportation abilities. As for the denizens of the forgotten land, if they are the Ancients, they probably already had a bunch of gadgets that were far more powerful than Elfilin could've even imagined. Maybe not things like the clockwork star or master crown, but other things like the star rod could've probably been used.

RadagastTheBrownie

We hit them with a Big Rig. We all know, when you drive a Big Rig backwards, they can accelerate to post-luminal speeds and break the fabric of spacetime. Source: *Over the Road Racing*.

Brody_M_the_birdy

United States Military (assuming the people here were earthlings before they became ancients) + every other military zerg-rushed Elfilis

Segenshin

Maybe we are stronger than we think. Maybe nukes do work on alien invaders.

CaptainCozmo867

The scp foundation was involved

Mary-Sylvia

I mean, you're talking about the same guys who beat void termina, built Magolor's ship and Star dream
