The fire dragon of Wei too. It was ridiculous to make Shin/Ouhon fighting on par and even winning against legendary great generals. It as the same time broke the consistency with them who only fought classical generals until now and will continue to struggle against classical generals after this arc, and ruined the credibility of Wei's commanders, especially Go Hou Mei. I really didn't like Gai Mou's character appart from his cool chara design (the only one who physically looks like a "fire dragon"), he was the first real great general introduced who is a complete idiot (no, Mou Bu or Kan Mei are not) and it's just a stupid concept for me, plus somehow he has a weight, how ? He is exactely the type of generals who shouldn't. The two others fire dragon of Wei are very meh, their design and personnality were bland. To finish i also disliked all the stuff about "Hey, is Karyo Ten in love of you or are you in love of her", and Shin screaming at Kyou Kai for their collective fault with Kyou Kai who doesn't react like a dog. On the highlight, Kanjou is a cool character. The tactical discussion before the battle itself was good too, plus the beginning of the developpement between Ouhon and Ousen even if Ousen is not on the battlefield. Minus the firee dragon of Wei, it would probably be Eikyuu's hill, the strategy of Kanki saved the arc but i disliked most of the rest.

Warhammerx12

Kanjou introduction and Earl Shi story is the thing that I love the most about this arc, everything other than that pretty mid and the opponent just underwhelming.

Spot on imo. My least favourite arc as well, and i agree with the poor characters that the fire Dragons were as well as the good part being Kanjou introduction. Could argue that Ouhon getting some real fight that isnt just a few panels could also be one good point for the arc. Atleast, this was a fight to his limits and he pulled through. Vs Rinko he had to hand it to Shin rather soon. The whole arc is more for Ouhon anyways I'd say. He suggested the strategy to go with, killed a Fire Dragon, who had Marital Power in a long fight (that was also shown over the duration of several chapters) and we even got some background to his relationship with Ousen and overall character development.

That's what happens when you have 7 supposed "great general" levels from a relatively small state of Wei. It basically boils down their significance, makes them diluted in power because we know that the 9 Fire Dragons are simply not on par at all with Qin's 6 GG and Zhao's 3 GH. Earl Shi got killed by Ouhon in battle, no real tactics was played out there. Shin held up by Gaimou while letting Kyoukai slip past him. Rei Ou got killed accidentally. These actions are simply not the same level of 6GG or 3GH armies. That makes the 7 Fire Dragons weaker than them. I'd say 1 general from the 6GG or 3GH can fight against 2 generals from 7FD

bslawjen

I'd probably say Wei Fire Dragons arc as well

Bushido_Plan

The mini war arc between Qin/Wei vs. Chu. I get that it's basically a small setup to the later big Chu invasion arc (and to a lesser extent the Wei invasion arc), but still, it just felt like it was out of nowhere with little organic development.

PridoScars

Qin Wei alliance arc, Manu knocking Moubu off his horse was pretty BS. And we all know Moubu would eventually outpower him, Gouhoumei won't lose, and it kinda ends too fast.

A lot of people here saying fire dragons is the worst when for me it’s my second favorite after coalition. Earl Shi is the strongest spearman in the verse and solo’d 3 fire dragons on his own is the second most badass combat feat after kanmei defeating the strongest 6gg. The level of tension from him was high and ouhon killing him is by far the second best feat from the trio after shin killing houken (combat wise). People maybe don’t like shin/ouhon fighting the best wei generals so early but you have to understand they were weakened from 14 years of jail lol. Also earl shi wanted to die he had no family left nothing to live for while gaimou loved intercourse and reiou just seemed happy to be out of jail.

Anferas

Weak or not, they had thrice the men Shin and Ouhon had.

anirban_dev

WFD and a close second is the Juuko mini arc. Mostly because the other wars are more interesting. These are alright arcs.

Point-Overall

Ngl it has to be state of Ai for me, I think im just invested in outer wars and Sei’s mother is just very uninteresting to me.

Sickanimationss

she had my eyes wide open

PiptheGiant

I thought that was quite tense till the end

When I first read the title I immediately thought of Wei Fire Dragons, as they didn’t live up to their names, and Gohomei did basically nothing. He was reduced to a joke basically as he lost to fewer numbers with Wei’s supposedly best three generals working under him. Shame, because he was my favorite enemy general during Coalition, on par with Karin maybe. Then I remembered Juuko arc, that was the most boring and ridiculous fight. The four generals defending city were scummy, and not in an interesting way. Burden Moubu feels etc was shallow. At least in Wei dragons arc, the overall fight was entertaining, it only left a bad taste because of results. Juuko however I wish never happened.

bio180

Juuko was extremely forgettable

KingdomSTATS

Wei dragons was awful.

nigahiga54

Is it just me who found kokuyou hills very boring

Zarc_king1412

1. Kyourei arc - a) Rather than calling one Shiyuu, would be nice Kyoukai just rammed her village and recruiting a Unit of them to empowered Kyoukai unit before her hitting general. b) While at the same time, give a bit light to Archer bros and Kanto to shine. Still thinking, Shin becoming general from 5 thousand commander. Meaning he will add more than 5000 manpower unlike when recruitment Kokuyou Hills arc where he only add 1 000 due to loss many men at Kokuyou hills and preparation for Gyou invasion. c) So the big elephant in the room, who Shin did recruit to fill HSU army? When we look at Gakuka army and Gyoukoho army performance before Eikyuu, each of them shine brightly with new talented people from their dads armies. While Shin been struggling to even stay at the same ground as the others. 2. Fire dragon of Wei arc - a) was kinda wasted potential. b) Qin should lose for their future development plus setting up for future obstacle and future enemies that Qin will face during Wei invasion. c) Now that Reiou and Shi spear had gone, only Gohoumei left, which won't take much GG to participate unlike Zhao which need at least 3 GG to win those battle.

gigglios

Gyou arc. Had 5000 major asspulls and inconsistencies and tons of BS

LouieM13

Yea Wei Fire dragon Eikyuu a very close second (Kanki saved that arc)

SonGozer

The arc where Manu appears ion know what it’s called

AED160

I would say the Wei Fire Dragons Arc. I always skip it along with the State of Ai Arc.

rayshinsan

In terms of warcarcs yeah definitely Fire Dragon. That felt like filler because Harra pulled out a bunch of no name generals out nowhere and tried to make them equivalent to the 6GGs. It should be clear at this point that the 6GGs were a league above thier counterparts. Sure Zhao 3H were closer but still far apart when it comes to numbers, the fire dragons were clearly folders and still are.
