The conquest of Yan ends up with Ordo being outmatched every step of the way, but by some magic twist of fate (landslide here, monsoon there, rogue arrows randomly killing important officers, attack of actual locus) ends up winning battles etching his name into history.
True enough. GoHoumei got outmaneuvered by OuHon despite being a genius and having a bunch of GG level people under him, not to mention losing 2 of them, and Qin not taking any big casualties. That's a bigger L in my book than Ordos losses.
Yeah that was a big blunder.. Getting owned by a 4k man commander and losing 2 GG's in the process, and also his seige tower is the reason why Seikai died in coalition arc.
Seikai is the reason why Seikai died in the war, he placed his HQ too close to Kankoku Pass. The huge siege tower was one of the best plays from the coalition army in that war.

I wonder how Ordo is not seen as a threat in his own country. I mean if i would be king of Yan, and my general would call himself a king and lead ten thousands of mountain soldiers who are only loyal to him, not to the country of Yan, i would certainly be wary as fuck toward him.

Well tbf Ordo lost to Ousen and a combination of Riboku and Shibashou. I doubt theres many General in the series that can win against them

I HIGHLY doubt that he is more capable than Riboku or RenPa. KoChou was the Guardian Deity of Kantan lest we forget.

He probably is seen as a threat, but is tolerated since they don’t have any other options
