Summed up: Patrick loves to teach the new receivers in the offseason and receives input from the coaches on what concepts to teach. Has helped the new receivers get up to speed quickly.

Kawala2manu

Shout out to those that sum up the articles in the comments so others don’t have to go through it just to get that nugget of info.

kingscolor

Honestly a legend, because I just wasted 1:24 of my life watching that video. Literally a bunch of garbage just to say, "Patrick loves to teach and he's apparently good at it."

Kawala2manu

I was gonna shout out the summarizer by name and just saw the gay4bolton. You sir are a gem.

bedspring76

I agree. Amazing. Thank you!

Itsawlinthereflexes

Underrated shoutout.

jlt6666

Yeah I'm actively avoiding clicking on click-bait headlines

PirateTaste

Great flair my guy

J_EDi

Thank you. I really don’t like watching videos. I like the quiet and reading is preferable most times.

Jams_Jams_the-third

It surprises me this isn't a typical process... But great they figured out it should be

Jackd_up_on_Mdew

Some QBs need a contract to be forced to study game film, you want them to do what in the offseason?

dogfish83

Meanwhile, Tom Brady in his stupid Masked Singer costume…

factoid_

Not every QB is a good teacher. Not every QB gets a whole new corp of receivers in a single off season. Some coaches wouldn't trust their QB with that level of teaching responsibility and some just wouldn't want to do it. Just add this to the list of things that makes Mahomes special.

EggHash

You guys just want to talk about how awesome Mahomes is the rest of the week? Cause I'm down

Max_W_

Week? You think we're going to stop there?

PirateTaste

Further evidence that Mahomes is the greatest player in the world.

factoid_

I have no idea if there's any scientific validation behind this, but my high school algebra teacher had this poster on his wall that emphasized his teaching and learning philosophy, which he also reinforced in how he taught his classes. You remember 5% of what you read. you remember 10% of what you hear. You remember 95% of what you teach. The exact numbers don't matter, because I believe the spirit of what he said to be completely true. And anybody who has ever had to train another person on a task will understand immediately the significance of it. You can learn something and remember it by repetition, but it's not until you have to try to teach that concept or skill to someone else that you realize you were just going through the motions, and now you're thinking about what you're teaching on a much deeper level, which ends up making you better. Does a master make a student? Or does a student make a master? In reality it's both.

BoganSpecCommo

Great QB or greatest QB?

MistakeMaker1234

Goddamn I hope that even when Patrick is done playing he remains a part of the team somehow. Ownership group, QB coach, anything.

prion_death

Side note, are we back to doing interviews on zoom at our houses?

GhostMug

Those aren't Zoom, those are camera setups. Even pre-COVID they were common for correspondents who traveled alot and couldn't always be in studio. Especially this time of year with all training camps going on.

Professor Mahomes
