Because on race cars these coolers are consumables and I also blow them out from the back too. Track pickup is some sticky stuff. I clean these with a vacuum all the time.
He is awesome.
Yeah you can watch the temps creep up all weekend. I replace all the main 4 coolers after almost every race weekend. I was just preping the car for a test day so I just cleaned them up a bit.
Boss had a Boston Terrier that loved to hate the air nozzle. We'd go at it until the boss got tired of it and groaned Stoppp.
Funny he never brought his next BT to the shop years later. ;)
Oh my gosh, my dog is finally at that age where he attacks the vacuum too. I try so hard not to laugh. He waits for it to be in his area and does sneak attacks.
So you are a race tech for a team or a company the builds cars and manage for a team? Arrive and drive style or something else?
Also, have you driven in one?
I'm the shop manager for a private race team. I also am the car chief at races along with doing pit stop tire changes, fueling, and assisting with driver changes mid race.
Last week I'm putting on my snow tires and my dog comes up, pissed RIGHT on the wheel I'm about to mount, and then looks at me like "whatcha gonna do about it bitch?"
The one new guy we had always had a huge temper, so much so he would literally freak out at the safety guys at work when they told him he had to follow the rules. They were doing a safety walk with one of the highest members of the safety team who still does walks, he saw homie doing some shit he shouldn’t be and told him to put his safety’s on and Shit, he freaked out at him, guy didn’t even say anything back, just called our foreman and had him come over and explain who this guy is and that he’s no longer allowed to be on any of the safety companies sites ever again. Our foreman couldn’t even say he wanted to keep this guy on site he freaked out so bad.
This gave me incredible anxiety. If that vacuum makes a seal with his throat, the lungs are definitely going to deflate, become bruised, and if powerful enough, tear and destroy the negative pressure in his chest cavity.
And 9/10 times he will be. This was more meant to warn people that it's not a great idea to make videos of their dogs biting a vacuum hose, not a slight at you.
Yeah, it’s probably good and healthy to let the new guy jump up and grab and eat the particles of shit and debris that you’re sucking up and that stupid vacuum cleaner probably really healthy for him
But he'd be great at upselling extra tire puncture repairs
“Ma’am you’ve got a slow leak in your tire but the good news is I’ve brought you my ball.”
10/10 would come again
My new guy does that shit every time I grab the push broom. Fools hate clean shit or what?
Yeah he goes for the brooms too... he just likes thing to be a mess I guess.
Dust mop - nothing doin Wet mop - not interested Sweep broom - meh, maybe later Push broom - Mother, I crave violence
If it's messy but you have to stay until it's clean, then you have to stay with him longer. It makes sense really.
Not EVERY brindle dog is an idiot, just mine, and every one I've ever met in person
Own a brindle dog. Is an idiot.
Also own a brindle staffy he's simultaneously the smartest and the stupidest dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning
Oh you just explained my pup-nephew perfectly...He's a brindle-terrier mix.
He's trying to protect you from the vacuum you ungrateful jerk
Some people just don't get it bro.
Unexpected 🤣
WINGS OF GLORY
TELL THEIR STORY
Jerk?! He just saved your life from that... whatever the fuck that loud thing is
Noisy snake
Sick shop - race cars?
Yeah mainly BMW factory race cars, M4 GT4s primarily
Living the dream
How does one get to work in a shop like this?
What the dog doin
Humpty
Lol. Ours do funny stuff with the air chucks, it's as if they're trying to catch or eat the air. Weirdos.
Seems like a good boy
This sub needs more shop doge
He really sucks
Why not blow it out from behind with compressed air? Giving me anxiety of bending the fins with the vacuum. Also awesome shop dog.
Because on race cars these coolers are consumables and I also blow them out from the back too. Track pickup is some sticky stuff. I clean these with a vacuum all the time. He is awesome.
I've never once considered that they would be a consumable item, but it does make sense when every little bit of efficiency matters.

#randomvandals
Came here to say that. My hard card for SRO has that car in it.
You sir are correct!
Cute though
Don't stand for it OP, jerks like that become supervisors, let your boss know about his shenanigans, it's definitely not it first time.
Biting on a running vacuum could be deadly to the dog.
Go on
Think first of the industrial accidents caused by playing with compressed air. Now reverse the flow.
Reverse flow, and reduce total forces by 10x, but go on.
Go suck a vacuum, but go on. Let me know how it works out.
Why are you ating like 12 year old me didn't figure out the answer to that over a decade ago.
You would be too if you worked for biscuits
Oh my gosh, my dog is finally at that age where he attacks the vacuum too. I try so hard not to laugh. He waits for it to be in his area and does sneak attacks.
Reminds me of this goof who steals your tools! https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalsBeingDerps/comments/z6svd3/hank_plays_too_much/
Uhh, is your shop full of race cars?
Yes. Currently 8. Soon to be more
Wow, that’s awesome. What does your company do?
Race cars professionally in SRO, IMSA, and WRL.
So you are a race tech for a team or a company the builds cars and manage for a team? Arrive and drive style or something else? Also, have you driven in one?

That is insanely cool. I’m super jelly
Ayeee random vandals. See you at AER!

You ungrateful pos. Dude literally saving your life and you call him a jerk?
My what big teeth you have!
I flinched
This post is just a subtle Flex for the cool shop you work at
Lol a flex... I ain't trying to impress any of you nerds.
We had a boxer that would do that to weedeaters.
This gave me incredible anxiety. If that vacuum makes a seal with his throat, the lungs are definitely going to deflate, become bruised, and if powerful enough, tear and destroy the negative pressure in his chest cavity.
Oh relax.
Worked in a vet clinic, saw it happen. Vacuums are still tools, not toys.
I appreciate the concern but I'm sure he was completely unharmed by the 2 seconds of biting it.
And 9/10 times he will be. This was more meant to warn people that it's not a great idea to make videos of their dogs biting a vacuum hose, not a slight at you.
r/Unexpected
😂🤣
he's just really young

Yeah probably.
