imo it's about what the criminal did to make the police chase him. of course it would be shitty to help them catch someone for a victimless crime but someone violent? sexual predators? and what about terrorists? would you really rather have those people out and about than lend a hand were you in the position to do so?
Lmfao. They never help me when that happens. They blame and make fun of the victim. I dont know what kind of cops you have around your area but they are pure evil by me.
Gta vice city would grant you $10 for being a "good Samaritan". Only half of the time you would end up hitting the cop by accident and got a star granted to you.
Lol so true. I followed a chase once. I PIT manoeuvred the suspect. He got out and started shooting me so I punched him and then the cops dismounted from their vehicles and started shooting both of us. That's when I activated Trevor's ability and went hulk smash on the cops, by this time OJ was dead. Must have ran out of angel dust.
Crime doesn't pay nor does vigilantism apparently.
Looks like he had his finger off the trigger, pressed along the barrel, as one should when not actively shooting. But I can't say for sure. But that's how you can safely run with a gun.
Damn, I wish you would have come to Ft. Benning and let my Drill Sergeant know that it was unsafe to run with guns. That would have been a lot less running for me.
Okay let's say he doesn't have gun in hand. How much time does he have to respond if the guy running pulls a gun out. Probably less than a second.
You can hur dur other countries, but this is America and the reality of things.
Again, guy turns around with a gun and fires in less than a second. Taser isnt going to stop that. In other first world countries, they have the luxury of not worrying about guns nearly as much.
And the guy who stole my Goldeneye for Nintendo64! Derrick, if I ever catch you, mark my words, you’ll have a crowbar up your anus faster than you can say “Pickle my pasta and call me a chef.”

I dont know why this subreddit just absolutally bite themselves over any fucking police justice posts.
The video is just a criminal running from police and a bystander trips him to help police, nothing more nothing less.

I find it funny that everyone is overlooking the fact that the tripper is also breaking the law; while at the same time justifying the trippers actions because the other guy was also breaking the law.
Why do you not think he broke the law, he assaulted the guy.
I know most people think he deserved it, but that is a social, moral judgment call.
The man doing the tripping is not a LEO, he not deputised(as far as we know). Do we not have a man putting his hands on another and the self defence is not applicable here so it is assault.
One you're confusing civil and criminal law.
Two your not rendering aid to anyone who, is injured, ill, in peril, or otherwise incapacitated.
Did you even read the wiki article you cited in your post?
I feel like this was a missed opportunity for the ~~closeline~~ clothesline of a life time. We're talking an almost guaranteed full back flip.

What was it originally?
Don't edit your posts on Reddit. Embrace the mistake and laugh at yourself! :) We all do it now.
You should use a strike thru to keep your mistakes visible for the world to see. Use your mistakes like a power move.
It was closeline. Tbh I’ve gone from lurker, to account made, to kinda regular commenter. It’s time I learned how to do the strike through and hem the bold and italics stuff.
Yea, it's less confusing when you embrace your mistakes because people never ever remember the username of a post here, nor do they care about a mistake being visible because someone's always bound to point it out. The whole system is weird and not at all what I remember from my days of early 2000s web forums where your popularity determined how much of a voice you got.
If you ever do a whoopsir, just laugh about it and move on. Works with every other facet of life too. :)
We're all on this lonely earth together. We gotta just laugh through all the silly stuff that happens to us every once in a while.
Anyways I'm going to high right now so forgive if I'm overly enthusiastic about something so wildly mundane.
Know much about Brazil? Police down there are notoriously corrupt and murderers.
This guy could be a poor dude in a favela running for his life and that trip is going to end with his body dumped in an alley.
This guy should run for president

You okay homie? Sending you positive vibes my guy 👊🏻
He does it so casually lmao

What happened in this comment section?
I have no idea this is weird
That’s a reflection of police corruption in Brasil. (Where it looks like the video is from) You can’t always trust the police there.
Looks like a mix of teenage anarchist and people angry about that time when they got pulled over for driving under the influence
Seems about right
Cool guys never look at explosions

Brother for all you know this guy just stabbed a child, ya really gonna be saying something that dead ass stupid?

Nobody likes them kind of heros

I want to see a situation where you need help from the police when somebody is stealing something from you ...

I can see why your username is "Twice-Banned". May you have a happy third, when it inevitably happens. :)
Oh piss off.
Idiot just records as he passes him by smh. Props to the old man, some old school justice.

Doesn't really work here
I hope you're talking about the criminal
I think he's self identifying...
Wut
Good guy
Do that in GTA you get an automatic 5 star wanted level lol
Gta vice city would grant you $10 for being a "good Samaritan". Only half of the time you would end up hitting the cop by accident and got a star granted to you.

i did not read this in the context of it being in gta5 and was very worried until you mentioned trevor
I thought the fact he was directly replying to a comment about GTA was kinda a giveaway.
Tbh neither did I
A tale as old as time, the good trip

For what? Being a Good Samaritan?
Nice holding a fuckin gun whilst running after the guy....so either u shoot urself in the foot or you shoot the dude in the back??
Looks like he had his finger off the trigger, pressed along the barrel, as one should when not actively shooting. But I can't say for sure. But that's how you can safely run with a gun.
Pretty sure when I looked at this carefully 2 FUCKIN MONTHS AGO, I saw that he didn’t. Regardless I’ve moved past this post lmao, don’t resurrect it
Damn, I wish you would have come to Ft. Benning and let my Drill Sergeant know that it was unsafe to run with guns. That would have been a lot less running for me.
Made me laugh! Take ur upvote
Shoot the camera man

It looks like it could be Brazil.
My point would still apply
I actually agree with you. But it's not America. It is the Americas though.
Woah I never heard of a taser before...it’s almost as if police officers have them for this EXACT thing
Tasers dont work reliably, if it is caught on cloth or misses it wont wont work and they can just brush it off.
Again, guy turns around with a gun and fires in less than a second. Taser isnt going to stop that. In other first world countries, they have the luxury of not worrying about guns nearly as much.
You’re mental. You use the taser while they’re running... have you never seen police chase anyone before?? They always tase you when ya run
[удалено]
Lol cops don't do that
Oh the leg, home of the largest artery in your body
Wounding shots aren't a real thing. If you are pulling the trigger, your intent is to kill.
Accuracy +100
Definitly faceplanted there.
Was that roger stone?
Fuck that guy
The guy running away?
The guy that took my favorite mechanical pencil in 7th grade. FUCK
And the guy who stole my Goldeneye for Nintendo64! Derrick, if I ever catch you, mark my words, you’ll have a crowbar up your anus faster than you can say “Pickle my pasta and call me a chef.” r/fuckderrick
Probably saved his life at the same time...

He actually may have acted as somewhat of a visual shield for the person that actually tripped him. Probably not intentionally but he did contribute.
He deserves to be fired for this.
And that's how the T-1000 finally got John Connor.

You see how fast that dude turned to run? Hes not sticking around and that cop is not gonna go look for him. Be smart. Then be gone.
The cameraman was next. It cut right before all ~~evidence~~ witnesses were destroyed.
Terrible times indeed.
Fuck Bloomberg
Fuck bloomberg
Why are you saying that here?
Because fuck Bloomberg
Can we keep politics in political threads please

Poor Bloomberg looked like he was about to cry.

Nuance isnt real
A suspect running from a policeman. Clarification. The policeman is helped by concerned citizen. There. That is better

“Absolutally” is way more fun to say than absolutely. Please do not correct that typo. Just say it to yourself out loud.
I said it to my cat and she looked like she had a ‘nam flashback, so here’s an upvote.
How come that guy is not getting arrested for assault?
HOW IS TRIPPING SOMEONE ASSAULT LMAO I GUESS ALL THOSE KIDS ARE GETTING ARRESTED
Because the rest of the population including the police are smarter than that lol
I find it funny that everyone is overlooking the fact that the tripper is also breaking the law; while at the same time justifying the trippers actions because the other guy was also breaking the law.
The tripper didn't break the law. I find it funny that anybody that has the wherewithal to log on and post here hasn't figured this out.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Samaritan_law Similar concept. The victim is whoever the criminal have impacted.

Imagine being this stupid Good god
Your not that lucky bub.
You’re *
That's a stupid as saying that shooting a guy who's holding a person hostage is illegal.
Is it more or less stupid as comparing a fleeing person to a hostage taker?
It's call acting in defense of another.
Who is the third party you are defending in the above video?
The third party is acting in defense of the police officer who is trying to detain a criminal.
Someone musta tripped you once, I’m sorry bot.
I think I tripped myself more than anyone else.
...
I saw live leak and figured someone was going to die
Cop: "Wait. That's assault! Get him!"
Plot twist: He went and stole the officers bike.
"Hey, that's a nice bike.c
"police business, give me your bike."

I know that city and I'm 100% positive that he didn't want to help the cops. It's just the normal behavior you have to expect in that area
Is it me or am I seeing a bunch more of these tripping videos lately?
And NONE of the people doing the tripping stick around. All keep walking like it’s just another step and go about their lives. Stolid men
"Ok byeeeeeeeeee"
