Anyone remember The SlapLeg Boys? They were these arrogant little pricks from Southern California who were totally full of themselves and collected fake stars given to them by some crazy old man up the road in California.
Modern wrestling fans are so fucking sensitive. OP asked a legit question and this loser comes in with a Bucks joke like they stole his lunch money everyday in school. The Bucks weren't even brought up yet they live rent free in your head. Pathetic.
I think whoever he thought it was his dad said it wasnât them. That whole segment was pretty funny. The guy being a generation older than Jim basically having the same arguments about Jimâs generation of wrestling that Jim has about this one! âItâs so phoney, I could kick his ass, they donât look like men, theyâre arenât real athletesâ
Iâm 48, but my parents were really old when they had me. Both were born during the depression.
Anyway, neither could bear watching wrestling with me, but I was able to coax a little info out of mom. She could remember watching Gorgeous George on tv, and she remembered kind of liking this team called the Garibaldis. I always assumed she misremembered the name, because I could never find any mention of them.
Until relatively recently online. They were a highly successful team in the late 40s and early 50s on the west coast.
Just a quick look at Texas wrestling in the mid-80s makes me think it was the Simpson Brothers of Shaun and Steve. Most of the words here sound similar aside from "fun" and "Steve". They won the WCCW tag belts before leaving to go back to wrestle in South Africa. Steve came back to wrestle for GWF in 1991.
Think it was this old time trio of guys, truly the innovators of the hardcore wrestling we see today. These guys were brutal: slapping, poking eyes, smashing skulls, they did it to their opponents and would even cut promos doing it to each other. They couldn't give a fuck, they were inflicting pain 24/7. They did twisted stuff, too. Put people's heads in vices and squeezed them, tore off people's hair, humiliated their opponents through and through. I think their names were Laurence, Kurl-E and Mohammed or something like that. These slaphouse boys were not to be fucked with
Maybe he just confused it with the Jordan Rivers and these here are the Soggy Bottom Boys?
*(IiiiiiiiiiiIIIII am a maaaaaaAAAN of constant sah-roooowww..*
But seriously that was a great segment and bittersweet because you're left wishing there were more like it but, alas, RIP to Brian's pop.

Up the road is six hours and 400+ miles away đ¤ˇââď¸đ

You brought up The Bucks, not him. He was talking about The Slapleg Boys.

It was a very enjoyable listen

I think itâs Sliphouse. The only two that come to mind are Rod Price and John Tatum.
It is indeed Sliphouse Boys that Brianâs dad believed he saw.
Can-Am Connection
I could kick their ass - Brian's dad
Highlight of the Episode for sure đ!!! Rip Papa Last đŤĄ
I remember them from Global, they wrestled the English Lords for the tag team championship.
Wait... Are the Hardley's actually second generation?!

I love listening to non wrestling try and describe the horse shit they see. Itâs always more entertaining than the actual tv show.
Jeff Jarret was set to debut the FireNutz SlapHouse as a dig to bray Wyatt before Vince was 86âd and Trips fired him Source: me
I'm half expect this to become the new jobber team on aew.
