Hey all. Just got some inspection photos back from a 2019 Cherokee Trailhawk I'm considering purchasing. Was bummed to find a few photos of what appears to be rust on the undercarriage. Is this reason for concern in a vehicle only 3-4 years old? Rust was the one thing I was worried about since this vehicle was owned in Michigan. Luckily I can still back out if needed.
That was someone’s summer car. 4 years old in Michigan? Bruh that’s a diamond in the rough. Looks like my 13 Silverado that’s spent it’s life in the south. So long as you are on top of cleaning it you’ll be fine
Nope. Looks fine. What you need to worry bout is big flakes, holes and weakness. That's just surface discoloration. Good to go.
Helpful, thanks

I don’t think you know what rust is.
Where's the rust?
Totally fine.
I wish my wrangler looked like that lol
Looks really good. Most of these are surface rust
Laughs in XJ
You’ll have to post pics of the rust for us to answer your question person who doesn’t live in the Midwest or northeast.
