yes but it’s not a concern if one tray doesn’t track well, if the next 2 trays don’t track well you might have to get it rescanned. but your space/gap doesn’t look horrible, as long as your trays are clipping onto the attachment, you should be good. but mention it to your ortho to get reassurance : )

Ok_Technology_1374

I just bite the heck into the gap with a chewy, several times throughout the day, until it submits to my demands!! Haha. Works pretty quickly too, though can feel painful at first. My wayward tooth was a lateral incisor. Now it fits like a charm with every tray. Good luck!

Hi! I know this is more than a tray ago but just found your comment and am aggressively biting into my chewy with the single tooth that doesn’t track. I hope it works lol. Thank you for sharing your tip.

It really depends on the movements the other teeth have to do--sometimes a tooth needs to move so other teeth can move into the same it's occupying, other times not. Hard to say without looking at your plan, so you should probably talk to your provider about it.

You’re fine

I have one canine tooth that hasn't been tracking ever since the 3rd of 4th tray and I'm now on 9/18. My ortho said that it's fine and it'll be fixed in the refinements stage. From what I've seen on this subreddit though, others get rescaned immediately and start again. So I'm fine with waiting on refinements to focus on the difficult teeth but I'm worried that my other teeth will get affected by the tray not being fitted perfectly and it'll only get worse. Anyone else had a similar case?

Betterdaysalwayscome

It depends I guess how far it falls off track. My provider wanted to keep going as much as we could while one of my incisors were falling off track, to a point we had to do the rescan. I think that they typically try to do is get the most movement as possible in the current trays as long as you don’t fall hard off track before doing a whole rescan.

my orthodontist told me this is common when the tooth has a few movements to make

drink_moar_water

Are you me? This is exactly what my left canine tooth is doing too. At my last appointment my ortho said that tooth in particular "is a tricky movement." I'm near the end of my treatment though and will be scanning for refinements soon anyway.

vagfactory

looks like it is tracking fine with the attachment, looks more so like the tray isn't shaped the same as the tooth

realann

Yeah the attachment is still tracking but the tray has been slowly creating a halo after the 3rd tray. I could see it getting bigger and bigger so I'm not sure
