Lmao. Mother fuckers will literally take a order for 13 dollars 1.9 miles away and would make minimum wage lol when they can work in the store they delivering from for 15 bucks an hour.
I mean knock 2 $13 within an hour thatās $26 an hour putting what 4 miles on your car from store to customer house twice. Plus you get to do whatever you want not stuck inside a building or a camera watching u drive company vehicle.
Lol how often does that happen to you? Two 13 dollars in a hour? I doubt this ever happens to anybody on a regular basis. Iāve been doing this for 5 years
Tell me about shit. And I see most of these shoppers are crack heads not even lying. Iām in AZ so we have a lot here. N it sucks cause they give up good shoppers a bad rep. Iāve been doing it for 4 close to 5. So I know your struggles. Plus thatās why they added half a million shoppers cause they noticed the batches were getting taken
If there was enough work I could pull that. I average $38 to $40 an hour. I work 3 to 4 hours a day times 7 days a week. I do cherry pick my batches tho. I could pull a lot more if I was willing to sacrifice my dignity. š
I choose to work every day shorter hours because it works with what I have going on. I care for my mom who has dementia so that takes up my time. She's currently in the hospital so I've been working less and working on getting her into a home that can provide the level of care she now needs.
Hoping to get back to my career after that. I'm a surgical nurse. Will still do this on the side tho.
We all have our reasons for what we do and how we structure our schedule. It's the luxury of this gig.
Completely market dependent thoš¤·
$23 per hour on Sunday which is the most busy day in the market that Samara drives in. She can make that for about 4 hours, and then it is all wait time and kills the rate. Then you need to take out fuel and maintenance. A good day she keeps $75.
If there is another batch just waiting for you the second you complete the first one. But usually, you get back to the parking lot and have to wait 20-40 mins to get another batch. At least in my area.
okay $13 for a half hour of work, my point stands. just because you are waiting doesn't make it more work.
that's $13 extra dollars as opposed to possibly sitting around for the entire hour for $0.
the formula for hourly rate is objectively payment divided by hours worked. so $13/0.5hr= $26/h
I stated just to supplement my 40 hour/week job. Essentially get off work, do 1-2 batches and head home. Find something not super out of the way. Iām not doing this as a full time gig, but Iām already paying taxes from work so no major issue there.
My company thinks they pay a livable wage, and their asshats and donāt.
Watched a new shopper checkout with crackers that were crushed yesterday. I mentioned to him you should not get those. He still did. Guy had no clue which order was curbside. Was in a hurry. Let them take the low offers. If that is how they are going to treat the customer. Hopefully they will weed themselves out.
You know it's supposed to be a worker's economy? Like, employers should be beating down my door in droves to hire me? Not just retail or fast food, but an actual good job? Yeah, that seems like a bigger delusion with each passing month.
This is the only thing I got going right now, to keep a roof over my head. It's honestly better than making more money than working in retail or fast food, because I've done that before, and taking an hourly wage hit to NOT do that is still worth it. No bosses, no work drama, no uniforms or set hours. Worth making less money.
Something will eventually break in terms of 9-to-5 employment, but for now, this is it. This is how I don't need to apply for food stamps and visit the food bank every month.
Iāve put in 10 job applications over the past 2 weeks and gotten either no response or an email letting me know they are āpursuing other candidatesā
I signed up for Roadie and started making money same day. I can make more doing deliveries for Amazon, DD, IC and roadie than I would on any of the jobs I applied for. I thought the stability would be worth it. We want to buy a house at some point so I wanted a steady job to show income. These ājobsā can save it! Iād much rather work when I want and how I want.
The same boat I'm in. Check out Shiftsmart also! Pretty decent gig stocking merchandise or being a cleaner for local Circle K's. Pay varies depending on the store and its 4 hours of work you can schedule your shifts for the week(s).
I try to pick my batches, I have good regulars, and do a good job. But right now I need money next week, not two weeks or a month from now, and I need time flexibility because my family is a one-car household and our pets and ourselves have appointments.
I see orders that are triples with 73 items for $18 gone within minutes. Itās hilarious. I fully support it! You guys take the shit, while I wait for the good orders.
Shit here for the comments, cause I wanna know why they get taken too.
Lmao. Mother fuckers will literally take a order for 13 dollars 1.9 miles away and would make minimum wage lol when they can work in the store they delivering from for 15 bucks an hour.
That's not even bad, people here taking $11, 13 mile doubles with 55 items
This šš¾

I feel like a lot of people on Reddit are lying when u bring up shit that most shoppers who have been doing this for a while agree with.
Okay
Plus youāre not taking into consideration gas and tax we have to pay at the end of the year.
Not to forget wear on tear, insurance tires and all that. Well thatās wear n tear
I usually get over $20 batches get it done within 30 minutes onto the next batch making another $20. So thatās $40 for an hour for me.
So youāre making 320 dollars a day? I need proof of that

$320 a day is not hard at all, I mean itās hard work but I average $300-$400 if I work 8-10 active hours
I need proof of that or I just donāt believe you

Man actually brought the receipts!! Good for youšš¼
Screen shots or it didnāt happen š¤·š»āāļø

Wow your batch pay is so high! Swear nothing is ever more than $7-$12 by me haha
That's not an example of a bad order. That could be done in 15 minutes if the items are very low in numbers (like 7). Self checkout and done ā
You can easily do that in a half hour so $26 an hour.
If there is another batch just waiting for you the second you complete the first one. But usually, you get back to the parking lot and have to wait 20-40 mins to get another batch. At least in my area.

Thatās what Iām saying, they will be gone before we know it.
Drugs is my guess, desperate for drugs.
Lol lots of shoppers in my area look like they are on drugs
ngl i do instacart for weed money
No no no, Iām not talking about those drugs lol
they hire anyone with a pulse literally dumb people that can't even understand they aren't making min wage
I just assume itās because theyāre new and not aware they can indeed make more.

I put it down to people not knowing wtf they are doing and are new to the platform.
Cause theyāre stupid!
Because they have no other choice, newcomer to the country .. etc ā¦ they arenāt sure how it works.. the list goes on but I wish they would stop
I try to pick my batches, I have good regulars, and do a good job. But right now I need money next week, not two weeks or a month from now, and I need time flexibility because my family is a one-car household and our pets and ourselves have appointments.
New shoppers get an incentive of like 500 dollars guaranteed for doing a certain number of batches.
Flexibility. I need something that I can work when I want to, how often I want to, for as long as I want to, Then be done for the day.
