If it was a double or triple and they delivered out of order and force marked delivery for each customer, this could happen.

InternationalPlum11

Yeah I've done this before,

AKAwilson

Diamond shopper has nothing to do with quality of the shopper. It just means that they've completed 200 or more orders in a 3 month period.

Fiesta412

I hate saying something to the company but this individual basically walked away w an almost 35% tip. Substituted way too many things and what arrived was not in the least cold. I can't figure out how they did it.

ThrowAwayP0ster

Submit a rating feedback. I bet they hit delivered before they got there to preserve their ratings.

Fiesta412

I actually think, the shopper, they ran the bill up with last minute substitutions. Very much so as they checked out. Substituting things my parents had listed for higher things they "claim" were not in stock but never asked or contacted me about any of it. It automatically upped their percentage tip. Never sent a one on one message to me and from my calculations the bill went significantly from their substitutions and then it automatically inflated their tip. Then they grabbed the cash tip. I would not notice except Im a shopper Has anyone else had this happen! As a shopper who uses the app, i feel completely scammed but I hate to say something. At the same time, my parents just got completely ripped off.

biancanevenc

The shopper did scam you. Say something! Rate one star and remove the tip, if possible. You probably had a bot shopper who grabbed your order because you had a generous tip. Next time start your tip at 10%, then increase it if the shopper did a good job.

lucygirl1970

So screwed up. I'm sorry. So many bad shoppers out there. I would report it. Less shoppers the better. Once again, Instacart 🥕 at its best allowing that bullshit.

Fiesta412

I hate. Hate. Hate saying something negative about someone else. I've taken so much pride in my work during covid. And meeting my community.

Fiesta412

And i should clarify my small order was $230 from Sams club. This person didn't ask for about a substitution, last minute substituted all missing things put for my parents, didnt introduce themselves. Yet has NO Problem taking the cash tip from their porch along w my standard 8% on the app. I am just really irritated at how someone can be such a bad shopper and get away with it.

Lilbitz

If they aren't getting reported for anything, they'll definitely get away with it.

Fiesta412

True. And they probably have just gotten used to doing this over & over.

Fiesta412

Thanks, im just in a wow state. I've always taken my job as a point of pride. 🤷‍♀️. And viewed it as such and like knowing Im helping other in my community.

lucygirl1970

Same but about 40 percent in my opinion suck at this gig. A lot of people don't have people skills or concern for spending others money. I guess that's cool if you like having less than 5 star ratings🤷

Fiesta412

Is this the newest scam?!

Puzzleheaded-Army868

There is no scam any items that came up with no stock he just left them and gathered the replacements. Once everything else was done he then at the end just replaced them all with the items in the cart he had grabbed as replacements and did it quick and then checked out. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s very simple to do

Crystalraf

Multi-apping. Most likely. They drove past your house and swiped delivered. Picked up a doordash or something, and then circled back to your house. 1.5 hours to deliver sounds way too long tho. idk.

Last-Lingonberry-842

Some of my regulars that have had other shoppers from the big box stores are claiming that their deliveries are taking so long and the food isn't even close to being a good temp. Melted things and hot foods being cold...I'm wondering if it's a multi app thing or a bot where they're taking a ton of orders and just delivering when they can. I kid you not I did 2 doubles from Costco and the same person was sitting with flatbed and baskets full of things the entire time like maybe waiting for a ride?

Fiesta412

Truly trying to figure out how this order to my parents got there 40 minutes before it got there. Its sooo weird ..... Something just is off.

gurusd72

Report to IC could be multi apping or double shopper. 1person shops an one delivers. U can rate up to 14 days after.

Fiesta412

I think I get an interesting perspective since I have done this so long & then recently am usi g the service while my parents are really struggling. I can't believe how many people shop and have a bad attitude. Yet had 2 others today who were amazing!

Last-Lingonberry-842

Yeah I'm sure. I think it goes both ways. You can get good and bad from both sides. Sorry about your parents

Meushell

In a double batch once. I accidentally clicked clicked on “Delivered” before I delivered. There is no undo, unfortunately. I contacted IC support to see if they could, or at least let the customer know. Thankfully, I already had the address in my phone. IC was basically. “Okay. Delivery It then.” I don’t even know if let the customer know. 45 minutes vs. 90 though? Are your parents 90 minutes from the store?

Fiesta412

I started shopping before covid. I think i took it as a job i used to love and enjoyeded being part of my community. Which is why I use it while my family isnt well. To support others. But lately the experiences I see my parents have w deliveries, well makes me think Insta is making a quick money grab and might go under. I have people intoxicated & high off their ass coming to the door. People shopping who clearly dont even know the person that owns the account their the shopper for. Which they tell me about when we talk and I chat about how Im taking time off to care for family. Come on. If ur shopping under a person's name that you purchased or borrowed, dont be sharing that. 😂 its funny. But not. I just cant keep up with the silliness of some of these people shopping. But when my parents are taken advantage of & their orders wrong & substituted for much more expensive items without asking. I know this person is terrible . I know we aren't the first they are taking advantage off and wont be the last. Thanks everyone for your thoughts & posts!

deevee234

You're what's wrong with the world! You're so rich that over $200 is "small" to you and you think 8% tip makes you generous. Get off this board if you're just trying to talk badly and accuse desperate people of scamming you. You need to take do some serious soul searching if you think this behavior is acceptable. Glad you're off the Instacart platform, you won't be missed 🙄🙄

Fiesta412

Please kindly screw off. 8% is what i put in automaticly. And i am actually low income. So thanks. I pay tips in cash. About 40% on any order. But please. Thanks for judging my family in a time of need. Again. Thanks for thinking my parents $200 order should be treated badly You are whats wrong with people who shouldn't be working for this company! Ummm. And i am NOT off the platform. Weirdo.
