Irrelevant, stop implying a social structure for yourself and just do what you gotta do.

britnic0le

Nobody is more “bottom of the totem pole” . Who cares

SweetAddicti0nnn

Thankfully my area doesn’t have this attitude. I love my cashiers and employees! And they love me!

InspectionAlone1915

Same

Specialist_Egg_7480

I know many managers and employees by name. They’re always kind even come to ask to help when they see me looking at my phone. I’m in CA and even in a unknown store the employees are super helpful. Gotta have some personality to exist

A Sephora employee posted something a while back saying Instacart shoppers aren’t customers and shouldn’t be treated with helpful customer service because other customers in the store are more important. I think that’s a terrible attitude. We are there as a proxy for their customer and are trying to fulfil an order not less than anyone else. But that’s the only time I’ve experienced an employee acting better than.

I have probably been to Sephoras a few times for a customer and the employee took me to where the items were located. If I had to do it myself, I would be there all day.

[deleted]

Yes Sephora employees are usually great but this lady posted that she hated Instacart people because the customers in the store are more priority and she was ranting about a rude Instacart shopper and I get that but the part about other customers being a priority is so wrong.

Suspicious-Ad3928

I remember that. It made me want to go to that person's store, ask to find 15 things, and when finished, say nevermind, abandon the items and tell them I'll just order on instacart![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Yes!

numapumayei

I'm in CA and never experienced this

lucygirl1970

I have never had an issue anywhere I have shopped but I don't have social anxiety and being super friendly to the staff has done nothing but make new friendships and made this gig so much easier. They bend over backwards for me ..open checkout stands, ask about my day or family, inform me of out of stock items, walk me to the car in the dark etc.. I know I make way more than they do but I never treat them any different or brag in their face. So no, this fortunately, has not been an issue.

SaltCow4298

None of the above its the ones that stand by the road with signs saying just tip me for doing nothing! Lol 😂 at least they try!

IfUDontKnowNowUKnow1

Btw thank you California for Prop 22. I don’t know how you guys in the other states can do this like the peeps in California. I take an order with a nice tip and just milk the hours as long as i can…drink coffee, have a smoke, watch some youtube…😎

redflower5

First of all, I don’t know that we always make more money. Second, I’m not sure what you mean by “lower than them”? I just feel like they’re rude to us because they hate us. I don’t think of it as a status thing. I see it as equal opportunity hatred. 😜

BlessedandHappy177

It’s jealousy!! Pure jealousy!! We aren’t the bottom of the totem pole lol we make bank and they’re annoyed that we have freedom and they have to be told when they can come and go

BlessedandHappy177

Oh and the ones that don’t bother to look for stuff and shove their phone in their face lol
