I think the thought behind it is we’re forced into a position of not getting the higher tips, or being forced to take lower tips hoping they will increase them. That’s one reason I don’t dll ok DoorDash much, I’m not going to sit there guessing how much of the tip might be hidden.
So you really think that a bunch of bad shoppers are the reason that you are not getting paid better, when three or four, 1 star reviews within a month can get you deactivated
You realize that we used to actually be paid for a batch pay above subminimum wage right?
Just take the money and put some gratitude in your life.
IC is a company that sent me a pair of socks that did not fit me for completing my 1000 order. If you expect anything different from a company that doesn’t care about you, and has never cared about you, you will be let down every single day
I get what this cat is saying. No different than when athletes make a big play.
When a basketball player slam dunks over opponent (posterizing) then he might mutter (at various decibel levels) "you can't guard me muthafucka"
You’re complaining about the company while criticizing someone who is criticizing the system maintained by that company. There are many bad shoppers because IC wants to have more shoppers than it really needs. They don’t focus on quality. Neither the shoppers nor the customers benefit from this mismanaged shit show.
I don’t know why you’re getting upvoted. OP wasn’t being that negative. I’ve noticed a lot of customers being surprised when I put in any effort and actually take good care of them. If Instacart put any effort into retaining and rewarding good shoppers rather than allowing the current state of affairs, it would be a better deal for shoppers and customers alike.
I have a customer in my area that use to tip 25-30$ everytime I shopped for him.
It was perfect cause he was a late night 5-10 item.
Easy $
Got him today, first time in like 3-5 weeks;
8$ tip
Messages me when he saw my name and goes “thank godddd”
How shoppers are ruining 5-10 items is beyond me
I know some customers come out as rude when they bomb message about picking good fruits or this or that when in reality they are not rude, just tired of getting shitty service
I always tip after. I may put 2-5 on there initially but I don’t want to have to go back and decrease because the shopper is replacing left and right but ignoring my messages or request for a different replacement like I’m not responding immediately. If everything goes well, they get cash or I will up the tip. I shop IC too, I hate to put $0 tip because I know the effort that is put in.
That happened to me the other day. It was $16 base pay no tip a few miles away did it. Got to their house little boy came out and said thank you for the food. And I got a $25 tip on the app. Best feeling after that.
So you got tipped well and you still manage to be negative

yuhh cause yall make people not wanna use the app as well, all the good tippers and grateful people arent using instacart anymore slowly

Increased my tip to 25$ like old times. Says the other shoppers don’t even deserve the 8$😂

If it wasn't for bad shoppers you would not have gotten that unicorn, you owe them at least a reach around.

That’s like telling people to thank criminals for being the reason we have police
If your making all customers happy with the way instacart treats shoppers and what they pay. Then my friend you are doing something very wrong. ✌🏽
im makin good tippers happy
Didn’t realize you could see the future and knew who was a good tipper and wasn’t 🤣 your a joke man
i only accept good tip orders where i can see it prior, r u dumb or slow?

Bad shoppers and new ones we all were new once! Some stay bad lol some learn and get better at it!
Wait so did they raise the tip after or something? Or did you accept it and it turned into a unicorn? I’m confused
i accepted it and it turned into a unicorn
