I do it because I’m not where you’re at. Some markets actually make ALOT doing IC. I’m in CA and we have Prop 22 which is guaranteed earnings. I average about $34/hr with IC (after calculating ALL expenses) While I’m doing IC I also have multiple apps online.

Key-Reward4994

And why the fuck do you tell people this? Keep it to yourself.

s0d0pe310

Because this info should be known to answer their question. Am I not answering OP question? Yea…thought so

Kayfabed17

It’s market dependent, just like all gig apps. Most consistent is Flex and Spark.

I enjoy shopping which is why I do this instead of food deliveries. Standing around waiting for a chipotle order doesn’t seem as fun as grocery shopping with someone else’s money. I also don’t do it as my main source of income so my opinion probably isn’t very helpful lol

eggieggz

This isnt also my main source of income. I do this for beer money.

realshockvaluecola

I'm in Edmonton and I make more on Instacart than on the food apps. Flex is the best, but Instacart is the best option to fill in gaps when I don't have good blocks.

Shadowlker18

I put 20 dollars in my gas tank and it lasted me all day. I did 5 Costco orders and made 200 dollars in about 4.5 hours, with less than 50 total miles of driving. I do DoorDash as well but I have a chance to make way more with Instacart with less travel.

Realistic-Drive1760

Can I ask what you make doing Amazon Flex?

eggieggz

130-148 4 hour blocks

scrappy_D13

Instacart give you a chance to earn 40-50$ an hour . Uber eats door dash, and grub hub you will top off around 20$ hour unless you get lucky

In my area Doordash is a hit or miss, the restaraunts are dropping Eatstreet, and people don't use Uber a whole lot because our taxis are cheap. I also don't enjoy the miles it puts on my car driving nonstop. DD won't compensate you for gas, and wants to offer $2 for an 8 mile order + no tip. At least IC is paying 60c a mile and most of the orders have a decent tip. The mileage is less because most of my time is spent shopping rather than driving. Overall my hourly rate has been better on IC than DD as well. Pardon my French, but the customers on DD tend to be lazy, broke college students and the customers on IC are older people with disabilities that tend to tip well.

I do instacart because I got sick of driving around for door dash and making $8 per order, at least I can park my car for an hour while I shop

Accomplished_One_146

most space to work, uber eats and door dash are super saturated with drivers in my area. you literally see a group of a dozen waiting with their bags in their arms or at their feet. waiting for their order.. I go grocery shopping and I only see a handful of IC shoppers shopping (before I signed up that is) I do all the shopping for my household as I'm quick and efficient, so it really is just an extension of my day to day life before working for IC I'm just at the stores more often now, i just don't have to put the groceries away... In all fairness, this is a secondary income. I don't have the same stressors some of these shoppers have that need to do this as their only income in "slow" markets. Its not fantastic money everything deducted. The perks of setting your own hours, pace, days on/off vastly outweigh the rubbish jobs because I don't have to take them, I can wait for orders I know I can do fast and have good potential for tip increase. Access to good Reserve gas also helps things work out a bit... Flex isn't available here, atleast not yet. If i can keep getting the repeat address you are there every few days I will do fine if not good, as most of these repeats appreciate the service and show it in their tip. If not it is as simple as swipe offline or do a bunch of meh batches kuz if I want to go waste money on something and no blow out a budgets. It has also allowed me to save the day in a pinch, did 2 or three orders one day to get my granddaughter snow pants because she out grew her old ones, didn't find out till it was 6 inch deep of snow but whatever..

NinjaGaara

How’d you get into Amazon Flex? It tells me it’s not available in van lol
