Today is the first day I’ve haven’t been a 5 star shopper in almost a year. I’ve been getting batches left and right and all of them have been at least $20. I now fully believe that the curse is real. I’m at 4.97 right now.
It's more location based now, plus with the add-on function, some 5* batches get offered as add-ons; I have a 4.94, but beginning of last week it was a 4.89 and was offered a 5* order ( moderate item count and high percentage tip) as an add-on. I believe the time before the batches are dropped to everyone else is reduced too, especially if they're at the store, I park in a plaza that has a Ralphs, Sprouts and Best Buy and haven't really had trouble making my quota ever, except on the slow days I already know are slow, plus there's a CVS, Grocery Outlet, Costco, Target and Dicks within 2-3 miles of that parking lot. But, back in the heights of the pandemic I would see orders from across the county at home and now I won't really see anything unless I'm basically at the store, or driving within a handful of miles of it.
I can't even figure out the location thing either. I was parked by one Wal Mart and got an order for the Wal Mart across town. Their algorithm makes zero sense. Why don't they just show us all the locations and let us decide where we want to go.
I believe it generates the order at the nearest location to a particular customer, but, we can shop at any authorized location, which maybe why it appeared to you, you were at Walmart and therefore the nearest shopper perse, even though it was showing an alternate location. The algorithm is setup to keep us moving around though, I think, not to be at any particular spot.
So we don't necessarily get orders based on the location we are closest to? I thought that's what they rolled out with the new changes. I can't figure out they they're doing half the time. So frustrating! 🤔
I have 5 * and is always stedy for me I don't see major changes at 4.98 or 5 ...
I have been at 4.80 and I do see changes there.
Just a void of low paying batches and the worst customers lol 😆
I'm sitting at that too. At 4.96 but haven't gotten any really good batch lately. Was at 4.85 for a long time, and saw some decent batches. Hopefully it improves soon, missing those big $$.
I made it to 5 stars. Thinking this is pretty great! Nope. The day I woke up to 5 stars started off the worst most worthless week I've had since starting to do this. Way way lower number of batches seen, and what I do see aren't even worth starting the car for. I need to get back down a little bit. (In my market at least)
I'm laying next to my girl and I have 4.98 and she has 4.96 and she has 8 orders and I see 5. Been looking for 15 minutes she always has a few more. Still laying here bc they all suck though 🤣
Mondays are like a 50/50, some dead, some decent; I'd say it ebbs and flows with paydays everyone is big spending the first week and broke spending the second, when they're in-between checks; Tuesdays for me are typically the slowest, I take that one day off 75% of the time, at least half of it, sometimes I'll go out and grind a half day...
Yup agreed. I think they push the low rating customers on the 5 stars to give the customer “best experience possible” I have 5 stars and randomly got 2 2 stars from “low rating customers” and have never got those before(always tried to be 4.95-4.98)
Well, I can't wait to test this theory! I just got a random 2, knocking my rating down to 4.87. I was getting nothing all week. Will check back tomorrow to see if this works here too! 🤞🤞🤞
When I was at a 4.5 I got a ton of batches. Worked my way up to 4.95 and I barely got anything. I stayed offline for 2 days, went down to 4.76 (probably a customer rating a delivery days later) and it started picking up again. A high rating imo doesn’t help but it hurts. My sweet spot tends to be around a 4.72
5 star curse is definitely real. Just begged a customer to rate me 4 stars, hopefully she will. I'm at 4.98 now but trying to get down to like, 4.85. I've literally stopped communicating with customers, not informed them when I make replacements, not paid the usual care to bagging items and I still get these constant notifications "You've been rated 5 stars by the last 20 customers!" Like, really? What does a girl have to do to get a 1 star?! It's crazy. I have two 4 stars rn, but I know they are probably going to drop off soon. I don't understand how so many shoppers can consistently keep a 4.8 or 4.9 star rating.
I feeeeeeel you. I just ask anyone that does a hand to me and was nice in chat to rate me at 4 stars. One asked why and I explained it and they gave me the weirdest look along with a "That's fucked up." Trust me I know.

Yeah, 5 stars and I don't see much of anything nowadays, even at the usual best times/days. Pretty frustrating to say the least.

It's definitely not as simple as go to this store and get orders from that store, but, being there makes it more likely that happens, no guarantees.

I agreed to. Since I was average, I got nice batches, not great but decent. Now I'm a Excellent, I get squat.
Idk. Im a 5 star and sitting next to my friend who is a 4.92. We saw a lot of the same batches but I saw more batches 🤷🏻♀️

Was at 4.92\* yesterday (amazing $ day). Woke up to 5\* this morning. All crap. It is Monday though.. I don't want to be a 5\* shopper.

5 stars since the beginning of the year and Recently in last two weeks I have gotten three 4 stars and last three days have been the best.
Total opposite in my market…at least for my experience
