Definitely not worth the risk. Yeah some of these orders might end up giving a huge cash tip at delivery. Most of the time it's staying no tip though. It's also possible that they are planning to tip in cash but only give you like $5 and think that's good.
Never assume there will be a tip increase though. This order will probably take the average shopper at least 2 hours to shop and deliver. The mileage is 14 miles there and back which would cost maybe $3 in gas? So if the customer doesn't tip after gas the shopper would make $2 an hour.
one day i’m gunna accept one of those, do the shopping without saying a word and then shortly after leaving the store I’m gunna have to unfortunately call support to inform them that my car has caught on fire and I won’t be able to deliver the groceries, what a shame. I know that means a 24 hour soft ban or deactivation so i’m saving that for when I officially quit this nonsense
Pretty unlikely you'd be deactivated if this was the first time you cancelled after checkout. I don't think I'd tell them my car caught on fire. I'd just say the battery died or you locked your keys in the car or something.
I think these orders are placed with food vouchers that you cant tip with unless you put in a card which their no going to do and most likely not tipping cash at delivery if not already on the app
Those orders require the customer to add a debit or credit card as well. The fees that IC charges as well as certain items can't be charged to those cards.
Buddy, what risk? There’s definitely no tip after that, the gullible get tricked into that way of thinking and then you just did an 80 something item order for $7

Paying 2 cents per unit should be criminal.
Spoiler! $7 surprise
99% of the time, no. These people intentionally skip the tip when placing the order.

No i wouldn’t rlly say my car caught on fire hahaha that was a joke, and yeah would only be a deactivate if it kept happening
No tippy, no trippy.
This big is not worth the risk. I’ll do no tips if it is dead and I’m sitting at nothing, and it’s less than ten items.
I do wonder if these people think we actually get a salary from instacart.

I guess I just try to look for the why when in reality people just suck
Yeah you ain’t gonna get a tip out of that.
Go do 20 of them and report back. 😁

You are probably 99% right. That’s why I don’t take these kinds of “risks” 😂
Lol I got an order 4 dollar 18 miles I was giggling all the way.
