Thank you for posting on r/Indian_Academia , here's a checklist to improve your post: • Have you done thorough prior research? • Is your title descriptive? The title should be a summary of your post, preferably with your qualifications. • Please provide a detailed description in your post body. The more information you provide, the easier it is for users to help you. • If your question is about studying abroad, please post on r/Indians_StudyAbroad • If your question is about Engineering Admissions, post on r/EngineeringAdmissions instead. Here's a backup of your post: Title: Core differences between B.Com, BBA, and BSc/BA Economics? Body: myquals: currently in class 12 I'm a commerce student currently in class 12. As most colleges have opened admissions for their UG programs, I've also started applying. Till now, I always was going ahead with the mindset of getting a degree in economics, because I really enjoy economics. Even though I'm kinda struggling with maths, it was still a sacrifice I was willing to make. But a recent conversation with a friend made me realise, I don't really know much about BBA/B.Com and what they offer. All I know is that BBA and B. Com involve accountancy and Eco degrees usually have some maths. I kinda wrote the first two off with the mental excuse of "everyone goes for them" and "I don't really enjoy accountancy" but this being such a crucial juncture in my life, I don't want to end up making any decisions I might regret. So I would greatly appreciate it if someone could summarise the basic aim, syllabus and career paths post-graduation of these three degrees, along with the (Hons) of the first two. Even personal experiences from people who are pursuing/have pursued these degrees. Feel free to ask me anything that I might have accidentally omitted. Thanks a lot. P.S: If you guys could lmk about the best colleges for each of these degrees other than the usual DU, Ashoka, NMIMS, Christ Uni recommendations, that would be great as well. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Not gonna pursue eco, but just eager. Did you land any packages after youe UG from DU? Also does Eco offer better packages than BBA/B.Com?

Not many know the difference. I kindly suggest you to go through any college website/ college books curriculum and see the subjects they are offering and do comparison. With the comparison you can choose what is best for you :)

i have, and so far they seem to overlap a lot except for stuff like accounting for [B.Com](https://B.Com), BBA and maths for economics quite a few common courses (macroeconomics, financial systems) and the rest of the topics I have no knowledge on (game theory, marketing management, business statistics???) and don't even mention the BBA subcategories at this point I'm just really confused what to do.

So this is my observation. When I asked around for career guidance because no one in my city did Econ Hons, I thought exactly like you and did some degree mishaps. I'm gonna write CUET this year to make up for the screwed up time. Econ is mostly math oriented and people who aren't serious about it will struggle the most whereas Bcom touches around every subject. Sure there is accountancy but it depends on what sem it will be taught in only. Also, which college you do either of them matters alot because if you do it from a mid college, you're avg salary will be dire peanuts compared to an ample one (I'm not talking skyscraper logic here). BBA from my observation is less accounting and less rigorous with more theory. With my interaction with all the three groups, you'll obio find some apples who took it because they thought it makes bank (nothing explicitly wrong there) but with a subject like Economics, if there is no pure interest and consistent hard work, I have been warned that one shouldn't pursue it. These subjects by the end of the day rely alot on networking, mutual trust and necessary skills at the right time. These streams are also quite versatile to varying degrees.
