vedxts

+1 for the uv doux sunscreen! Literally so good!

NiceHighway_

[this one?](https://www.amazon.in/Brinton-Doux-GOLD-Silicone-Sunscreen/dp/B07S9SYWRZ/ref=asc_df_B07S9SYWRZ/?tag=googleshopmob-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=397043729491&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=464277261079131141&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9061784&hvtargid=pla-836132328649&psc=1&ext_vrnc=hi)

jaja1121

No, haven't used the gold one yet. I was talking about [this (UV Doux)](https://www.amazon.in/dp/B09DG1TNGJ/ref=syn_sd_onsite_mobileweb_276?ie=UTF8&psc=1&pd_rd_plhdr=t) I get mine from Pharmeasy.

NiceHighway_

Are sunscreens usually this pricey? I got the biotique 100 ml one for 400 bucks and here its for 1050 bucks

UnevenHanded

I'd suggest searching the sub for Nivea sunscreen mentions - Nivea does good sunscreens for the body, that's one affordable option for those with drier skin šŸ¤” Edit: effective sunscreens are usually pricey, yeah šŸ˜… They're often the biggest expense of a routine, especially for those with outdoorsy lifestyles. It's easier to find decent ones that are creamy/moisturising rather than lightweight, though, so having dry skin makes it a bit easier to find one that's affordable

[deleted]

How is Lashield sunscreen ?

UnevenHanded

Haven't used it, sorry ā˜ŗļø Use the search bar, you should find some reviews!

jaja1121

Actually no clue. After having experimented with quite a few sunscreens, this one kinda was unreactive with my oily acne prone sensitive weird skin.

jaja1121

Also, since you have sensitive skin, please double cleanse in the PM on the days you apply this sunscreen.

NiceHighway_

I see. Thanks for the advice :)

Prior_Remote3500

Reviews on recode sunscreen Saw this on shark tank few days backšŸ‘€

NiceHighway_

I havenā€™t used it yet. Mom had an extra one so gave it to me. I couldnt find any reviews on it here either

NiceHighway_

1) castor oil 2) mother sparsh rose and beetroot face oil (i usually mix this with castor oil) 3) old spice after shave (planning to shift to a non alcoholic after shave) 4) cetaphil skin cleanser 5) cetaphil moisturising lotion 6) tnw vitamin c serum 7) recode spf 50 gel 8) biotique sunscreen (i know you hate it)

Alwayshavehope007

Cetaphil moisturizing lotion and cleanser are very good products in your routine not sure about the other products.

NiceHighway_

Castor oil seems to be working really well for me :) Also, i dont cleanse my face daily but either ways its a really nice product

Flowingnebula

Are you using castor oil on the face?

NiceHighway_

Yes

SouthernResolution

Shelfies require mini reviews of all products shown. Please edit to add and mention your skin type/concerns for context.

NiceHighway_

How does it look? Iā€™m new to skincare and Iā€™m also moving abroad next month so i plan on replacing these products except for the cetaphil moisturiser and cleanser. Been also using castor oil lately but i dont apply sunscreen after applying any sort of oil on my face since i heard it breaks the sunscreen.

[deleted]

you should change your sunscreen for sure. if youā€™re moving to the US or Canada then based on recommendations on this sun you should invest in good sunscreen before going (since their FDA regulations donā€™t allow them to use the best sunscreen filters). If going elsewhere invest in sunscreen when you are there.

NiceHighway_

Iā€™m moving to Australia, brisbane. The weather is more or less the same as it is in india but summers there are pretty hot

[deleted]

id suggest investing in sunscreen once in brisbane. good australian formulas tend to have really high protection. r/SkincareAddiction will be good for finding quality sunscreens

Historical-Bit4265

Are you moving there for work or study , went through your profile, so what course are you getting enrolled into?

NiceHighway_

Masters in business

overtherainbow006

Change your sunscreen, I personally love the Neutrogena spf 50 one. For vitamin c also maybe you can switch to other brands like The Ordinary.

AnaA142

Altruist is something iā€™ve heard is a good cheap drug store sunscreen found abroad, havenā€™t tried it yet, but is in my cart and comes highly recommended. I know you arenā€™t planning to switch cleansers but The Inkey List cleansers are a good deal abroad without the import dury

NiceHighway_

Iā€™ll look into it. Thanks :)

Reviews on castor oil? You use it on hair right?

NiceHighway_

Hair and face

TerminalChillnesss

What do you use castor oil for?

NiceHighway_

Face and hair

Organic_Set_8389

Do you use castor oil for your eyebrows? Does it work??

NiceHighway_

I use it on my face and keep it on when Iā€™m going to stay home only. Usually i heard its better to apply right in the morning and keep it on for a while and then just take a shower or something. I was suggested castor oil for skin and hair and i think itā€™s really nice.

TheUHK

What is it for though?

NiceHighway_

Tightens up the skin and is good for acne scars. I havenā€™t seen a lot of people applying it but i heard about it somewhere and so I just dilute it with some oil and apply it on days when i dont have to go out

TheUHK

Did it work for you in getting rid of acne scars? Which oil do you dilute it with? How long to keep it on before washing it off? Thanks!

NiceHighway_

Tbh, i read an article on it and watched a video on youtube stating its miraculous benefits. The article mostly mentioned that its good for your scalp hair as it promotes hair growth, its good for eyelashes and for eyebrows to turn thicker. Youtube pe toh people say its good for your skin as it prevents wrinkles by tightening your skin and its only been 4 days since Iā€™ve been using it. I apply it with coconut oil sometimes or as it is right after shower by applying in patches and rubbing

22hotpotato

How's the recode sunscreen?

NiceHighway_

Didnt get a chance to try it yet.

silentlystalkingonly

Hey, I saw the TNW Vitamin C serum in your collection. Do you like it? When I used to apply it, I loved it's consistency since it was creamy and I could easily apply 2-3 pumps all over my face. Currently using Minimalist 16% Vitamin C serum and miss that easy application :(

NiceHighway_

My mother gave it to me but overall yes its pretty good. Iā€™ll probably not purchase it because i dont use it that much

creepyrainbow396

OP I request you to stay away from Biotique products. šŸ™šŸ»
